As she was about to put it on, the mask suddenly leapt out of her hand, latching onto her face.
"HUH—!? *Bam* Ow..." (8)
Lillian rubbed the back of her head, having accidentally slamd it against the wall behind her. She then slowly placed her hand over the jagged face of the mask. (3)
Her eyes were wide with shock. (8)
Was the mask alive? Was it even possible for it to be alive? She was sure there wasn’t an enchantnt for that... Wait, now that she thought about it...
Why were there only three?
She looked at the enchantnts again.
[Enchantnts: "Veil of Eternal Lies", "Shroud of the Shadowed Mind", "Fractured Resolve"]
An item like the Mask of Deceit should have more enchantnts than just three...
’But why doesn’t it...’
She then glanced down at her necklace, finding the sa circumstances for it to be the sa. The lucky necklace only had three enchantnts, just like the mask, despite its obviously higher Item Rank.
"I guess... Material, then isn’t it?" Lillian muttered, looking around the corner of the wall she was hiding behind.
Seeing that no one had arrived yet, she turned back to sorting out her loadout before the fight.
She looked down at her body before raising a hand to her chest.
She needed a chestplate...
She sighed, "Back to spending points, I guess..." (2)

[Sowhere Unknown]
"Tch... A fake is a fake." A scratchy voice echoed inside a dark hall.
The voice belonged to a loneso man who gave off a miserable impression. He was seated on a throne covered in dried blood.
Their back were connected with wires that extended towards the ceiling, which was held up by stone pillars along the sides of the room.
They had dark brown hair with random white patches, three eyes with the third in the centre of his forehead being chanical, a wrinkly and fatigued face that didn’t match his energeticness as he rapidly stood up.
He looked towards the screen, which displayed the fight between the fake Donatello, the King, and Mirage. He couldn’t help but let out another irritated tongue click.
"Tsk... Whisperfell couldn’t have made a better copy?" He adjusted his robe, pulling up his right sleeve and revealing a chanical arm attached to a fleshy stump.
He then began to change the scene.
And as he did this, he continued to mutter:
"No matter... Once I reduced this academy to the ground just like I did with the Indominable Shield Academy, the other four would surely take more seriously..." He said the last part with a hiss.
And after saying that, he suddenly beca extrely agitated as he roared into the air.
"Those bastards! Always thinking I’m so weak chum just because I’m a lower Tier than them now! They know my true strength and still keep belittling !" He growled as he used his chanical hand to scratch the side of his neck.
Skr. Skr. Skr.
His robotic fingers moved over his pale skin, scratching at it and causing the sound of tal grinding against a rock to resound.
It was... An unsettling sound that even annoyed the man.
"ARGH!"
BAM!
He slamd the side of his fist against the control panel of the screen. However, it wasn’t with his chanical arm, but with his real, fleshy one that looked extrely malnourished.
With how skinny and bony it looked, no one would think a regular person could move as quickly and lively as he did. And that was the sa for his scraggly legs.
He was... Extrely unsightly.
After he was done slamming his fist against the control panel like a maniac, he raised his hand, moving his fingers around with seemingly no reason.
Suddenly, a figure lowered itself from the ceiling—a ceiling, which was too dark to be seen.
The scrawny man then turned to the side and found a woman no older than 18.
Her body was wrapped in a thick layer of bandages and had a thin layer around their mouth to keep them quiet.
They had short brown hair and a rather appealing face.
"You. Wake up."
The woman, who previously had their eyes shut, tightened their eyelids together, unwilling to open them. This aggravated the scrawny man, who then raised his chanical hand towards the direction of the woman’s chest.
"Fine... If you won’t open your eyes for this... Then, I’ll just do what I want."
Fwoosh!
After saying that, the scrawny man bent his elbow before shooting his hand forward, piercing through the centre of the woman’s chest.
The scrawny man then watched as the woman’s eyes shot wide open the split second his hand pierced through her chest before slowly closing them again as the light faded from her eyes.
The man then turned his eyes back down to his arm, finding it to be covered and sared in the woman’s blood.
Yanking his arm out and cutting off the connection he had to the woman and letting his drop to the ground like a sack of potatoes, he stared at what was in his grasp.
The dying heart of the woman that throbbed slowly before eventually stopping. The blood that was pumped out soon stopped and dripped down his forearm.
A wide grin appeared on his face as he slowly lowered it into his open mouth.
As he was doing this, the scene of a certain bin was now surrounded by two rather suspicious individuals.

’I think replacing my Blaw Maw would be a good idea...’
She looked down at her chest to find it wrapped in a dark, high-collared chestplate, which was covered in pulsating purple veins that spread from the centre of the chestplate.
Which... Happened to have a glowing purple gem in the centre.
Lillian smiled, "Finally get to use this thing..." (2)
