After the dizziness subsided, Harry slowly opened his eyes to see if he was actually in the clone's body. He saw a majestic door and a woman flailing madly, trying to get out of the strong grip of two soldiers who were pushing her down. She was glaring at him with hatred evident in her eyes.
Harry blinked three to four tis before a sudden influx of mories entered his mind. He absorbed the information that he had just recieved before feeling the uncontrollable urge to facepalm.
His clone had ssed up. It ssed up big ti. The woman in front of him, who the soldiers were dragging off, was the queen.
For so goddamn reason, a rumor reached the queens ears that the king had an affair with the advisor. The advisor for godd*mn's sake!
And the queen, instead of knocking the rumor off as sothing made up, ca and confronted the king.
But, there was a major problem here. If it was the real king who encountered such a situation, he would have cald the queen and then flattered her. After all, she was an integral part of the kingdom.
Eryeth was originally only half of it's current size. There was another kingdom next to it called Herila. The king of Eryeth wanted to expand his kingdom, but his military force was roughly the sa as the other kingdoms.
So he ca up with a sche. He proposed a marriage of his only son with the eldest daughter of the king of Herila, redith. The king of Herila, after weighing the pros and cons, obviously agreed. The two kingdoms then rged, making the current Eryeth.
redith was widely loved by the people of Herila. If she was imprisoned or mistreated in anyway by the current king of Eryeth, a mass revolt would happen! Thus, redith was usually treated extrely well by Chester. So well that it was unbelievable.
Thus, redith had beco spoiled. Extrely spoiled. Even her son, Gerry was so spoiled that it would make people dumbfounded.
But, redith usually behaved herself in front of Chester considering that he was one of the main reasons she had that much power. After all, won in this age were heavily discriminated against.
But Gerry on the other hand, was totally out of hand. He raped whichever girl that caught his eye and murdered people who didn't fulfill his wishes. He was even slightly disrespectful to Chester himself. But Chester turned a blind eye to it as he had no ti to deal with unruly brats, and because he was his son after all.
redith didn't exactly do anything bad with her powers. She only completely supported her son, who was a complete moron.
Now, the problem here was, it was not the real king that redith confronted. She confronted the clone, who was the truest version of Chester. Chester absolutely despised redith. He was forced into marrying her, all for the wellbeing of the kingdom.
He even wished that he could kill her. If not for the complicated political condition of his kingdom, he definitely would have. He even thought of killing her and dealing with the consequences later, but then he rembered that half of the soldiers were loyal to her and the past king of Herila.
But the clone on the other hand did not have to think about all of this. So what if an internal war occurred? So what if the people would revolt and a mass civil war would occur? So what if the kingdom would be destroyed and thrown into complete and utter chaos? It had no attachnt towards the kingdom after all.
It only had one order, and that was to behave like the king would in such a situation. And if not for all these restrictions, Chester would do exactly what the clone had ordered the soldiers to do right now. Kill redith.
Normally, things shouldn't have reached such a point. When redith had first confronted the clone, the clone denied that it had an affair with the advisor. But, redith, in the heat of the mont, started screaming curses at the clone as she didn't believe it.
The clone too started arguing with redith, and it would've ended there if redith had left the matter at that. But she didn't. She slapped the clone, and the already aggrevated clone ordered the soldiers to kill her.
Harry learnt a grave lesson from all this. Clones had extrely bad tempers and they represented the innermost self of a person. Just when Harry was about to shout out to not kill redith, it was already too late.
One of the two soldiers removed his sword and with an maniacal grin spread over his face, pierced it through redith. redith scread out of pain, and stopped struggling. She felt intense pain overco her and knew that her death had co near. The two soldiers cackled while the advisor sneered.
They all hated thi b*tch who acted like she was superior to their king. But they restrained themselves as she was the queen after all. But now, their king had finally gotten fed up with her antics. He allowed them to kill her!
The two soldiers left redith's hands, and she fell on the ground, groaning while clutching her stomach, from where blood was flowing profusely. Both the soldiers stabbed her again and again, taking turns, almost as if she was their mortal enemy.
They still continued to stab her, even after she was dead, and only stopped when they felt their arms ache.
Harry who was watching all this felt his throat parch up. He had a thought which piqued his curiosity trendously. 'Just why did the soldiers hate her so much? It was understandable that Chester hated her, but why do the soldiers hate her so much?'
The soldiers turned towards their king and grinned with pride, expecting praise. After all, they had vented his anger very well by making her death so brutal.
