Chapter 2: The Massacre

Ignoring the increasingly fervent shouts in the distance, I hurriedly lowered my head to check.
My arms and chest were surrounded by ominous black smoke, my upper body seed to be covered by black armor made of unknown material, extending down to my thighs, only exposing areas above the forearms.
Below the legs were completely entwined by even more intense black smoke that gave off dazzling white light, like a black battle skirt, shrouding my legs, connecting to what looked like tar-like, yet boiling black liquid.
Looking out into the distance, under the azure sky, erald hills with thousands of peaks and valleys connected to plains rich with green grass. Groups of two or three towering verdant trees bearing red fruits stood tall, and unknown silver flowers blood across the wilderness.
Such a perfect scenic view was completely ruined by a massive chasm spanning several kiloters, terrifying black liquid continuously overflowed from the chasm, flowers and grass withered instantly upon contact, turning into black powder.
And at this mont, I was actually standing in the center of this chasm, atop the bubbling black viscous liquid.
