Logan could sll the stench of sulfur, his heightened senses making it even harder to ignore. He wanted to cover his nose but could only endure it. Among the four of them, only Freya openly whined about the overpowering nasiating scent.

They busied themselves surveying the area to ignore the stench, adjusting to the hostile terrain and its inhabitants—most being fire and earth-type creatures. Massive worms erged from the ground, their molten bodies writhing beneath the surface, while scorchwyrms ran around, reminding Logan of his first encounter with Scorch.

Other creatures road the volcanic land: boulder-like stone monsters mindlessly devouring rock, deer whose fur ignited as they clashed in territorial battles, and duck-like birds that swam undisturbed through pits of lava.

Even the vegetation had adapted—blackened greenery resistant to the heat, its fruits tempting yet suspicious enough to make Logan hesitate before picking them.

The sheer resilience of these creatures fascinated him; unlike anything on his planet, they thrived in conditions that should have been unbearable.

The lava itself flowed in a controlled stream, deliberately shaped as if designed to provide these beings with the perfect environnt to bask in extre temperatures.

Sweat dripped from Logan as he neared the volcano—until he spotted sothing unusual. A massive bear stood ahead, its fur igniting with silent flas, yet releasing no smoke. It was entirely at ease, as if its burning coat was simply… natural.

"Riptide, your turn, buddy. Weaken it enough for to ta," Logan commanded. His bear let out a thunderous roar, making its opponent hesitate and recoil. It even attempted to flee, but sharp spikes of ice embedded themself into the ground like a cage, cutting off its escape.

Logan estimated the level difference to be around forty. Even with the temple's influence nurturing the creatures, he doubted any outside the flaming mountain exceeded level fifty.

It took re seconds for the flaming bear to be slamd into the ground, pinned in place by spears of ice. Logan knew better than to approach—his flaming shield might protect him, but the bear's intense heat could still prove dangerous. Instead, he relied on blood magic, carefully manipulating it to prevent his essence from evaporating as it neared the creature.

The ntal struggle was brief; the bear quickly submitted, fear overtaking it under Riptide's overwhelming presence. The mont the taming process completed, the creature began to glow, its form shifting and evolving. Its once two-ter-tall fra expanded to three ters—just shy of Riptide's size. The white bear let out a triumphant roar, as if reminding the newly evolved beast who was still the strongest.

Logan gave the newly tad creature a brief glance before pressing forward. His goal was to secure at least three fire-type creatures to help maintain the volcanic bio's as hot as in the volcano. He even considered bringing the fire temple into his domain—just as he had with the earth temple—to create specialized environnts for raising certain monster types. Yet, he quickly dismissed the thought.

Relocating the temple could disrupt the balance of this land, and more importantly, it might anger the fire spirit itself.

"Let's keep moving. Keep an eye out for any interesting creatures along the way," Logan called out, directing his words mostly toward Emary, who might benefit from acquiring a strong fire creature.

"Yes, teacher! I want a powerful fire creature like your Scorch!" Emary responded eagerly, his excitent barely contained. The thought of taming a formidable beast of his own filled him with determination

Silvia smiled at the boy's enthusiasm while Freya previously switched places with Emary, choosing to ride Wyver to avoid the lingering stench.

Logan pressed forward, searching for an entrance to the volcano. They had a few leads based on Emary's observations—he had flown around with Wyver before landing to watch Logan ta beasts firsthand.

The boy guided them toward the volcano's side, and thanks to Luna, Riptide, the Raptor, and their newest companion, Ignis, they were able to traverse the harsh terrain with ease.

[Ignis, show us the way inside. We need to ta the hydra,] Logan requested, hoping his bear had so knowledge of the volcano's interior.

Ignis hesitated. [It will get mad. I am scared,] the bear admitted.

Logan considered the warning until Riptide let out a distinct call—a low, commanding sound that seed to carry weight beyond re communication.

[Fine… I will show you. Ignis finally relented. [But we will die!]

Logan noted the shift in its tone. He couldn't help but wonder—was this reluctance just fear, or did the monarch's blessing influence how creatures of the sa type responded to authority?

The group neared an opening, despite the bears' persistent grumbling. Suddenly, Logan caught the lodic calls of birds near a bubbling lava pool.

At first, he thought they were Aurolious Fowls, like the ones he had tad for Rubina. But upon closer inspection, their plumage revealed otherwise—white, red, and black feathers shimring in the heat as they danced around the pool, singing in rhythmic harmony. They were courting each other.

"Say… Silvia, I can't leave you without a bird, right?" Logan mused, a grin forming. "Lisa has the owl griffon, Rubina has a fire peacock… How about one of these for you?"

He briefly wondered what creatures would suit Marie and Alma. Perhaps one of them would prefer a thunderbird? He refrained from ntioning the Roc he had set aside for Ms. Claire, knowing she wouldn't view the gesture in the way he had intended.

Silvia studied the birds, her expression held joy and contempt.

"A bird? I do like how they look… And if the other two have one… Alright, sure," she agreed, a hint of excitent creeping into her voice.

Logan smiled before getting close, wondering how he would capture the creature, but Silvia stopped him.

"I know you can possibly get it yourself with ease, but how about you let help you this ti, it will be my creature right?" She smiled while extending her hand to cast a spell.

Suddenly, her platinum hair, streaked with subtle hints of color. It began to radiate a soft blue glow. Her eyes color shifted to match, their hue deepening as she channeled energy infused with the water elent.
