The room fell silent for a mont as everyone processed the information. Remillia frowned, tapping her fingers on the table. "So, the pendant’s still missing, and now we’ve got two Rogues involved? That’s not good," she pretended to be shock.

Edge nodded in agreent, his expression serious. "If those Rogues are also after the pendant, it ans it’s powerful enough."

Christian’s lighthearted comnt broke the tension, and the group visibly relaxed. "Why are you guys so serious?" he chuckled. "It’s not like it’s your fault the pendant got stolen. Let the authorities handle it."

His casual deanor was contagious, and the atmosphere in the room shifted. Whitney rolled her eyes with a smile, "I suppose you’re right. No point in stressing over sothing that’s out of our hands."

Cypher leaned back in his chair, nodding in agreent. "Yeah, let’s leave the pendant drama to the authorities. We’ve got more important things to worry about—the upcoming final exams."

A collective groan filled the room at the ntion of exams. "Ugh, don’t remind ," Whitney said, rolling her eyes. "We’re supposed to be relaxing, not stressing about tests!"

Angela added, "Seriously, can’t we just skip straight to the holidays?"

Despite the grumbling, the conversation soon shifted to planning their future group study sessions. They shared stories from the masquerade ball, debated the best study spots on campus, and even compared which desserts from the box Remillia brought were the tastiest. The atmosphere was light and filled with laughter.

Remillia laughed along with her friends, but in the back of her mind, the thought of the Pollus’ Pendant lingered. ’Yep, maybe I should just destroy that pendant later,’ she thought to herself, determined to deal with it before it could cause any more trouble. For now, she was content to enjoy the mont with her friends.

As the finals approached, the atmosphere in the classroom was tense. Sir Jude stood at the front, addressing the students with a stern expression. "Just like the prelim and midterm exams, your finals will follow the sa structure. One week will be dedicated to written exams, and the following week will focus on combat."

He paused for a mont, glancing around the room before continuing. "However, this ti, your combat exam will be different. We’ll be tightening security asures to ensure no intruder disrupts your exams again."

Remillia couldn’t help but recall the chaos of their previous exams when unexpected intrusions threw everything off course. ’Good,’ she thought, relieved by the heightened security. ’I won’t have to trouble myself in protecting them again.’

Sir Jude’s tone lightened slightly as he dismissed the class. "Now, go back and have fun. I’ll see you next week."

The students, still processing the daunting final exam details, exchanged glances as they began to gather their things. Remillia sighed in relief as she packed up her belongings, feeling the tension in the room dissipate a little.

"Well, that was intense," Cypher muttered as they exited the classroom.

Whitney rolled her eyes. "Intense is an understatent. But hey, we’ve got a few days to unwind before we dive into all that, right?"

Edge smirked, "Unwind? Or cram?"

The group chuckled as they made their way out of the academy, the looming exams hanging over their heads but the promise of a short break offering so solace.

At the sa ti, at the royal suite of a five star hotel in Aeonia.

"How about the others? You should let them do it. Do you really need to go?"

Thorne asked worriedly.

"Yes, I’ll go see her myself."

Thorne shook his head helplessly, he can’t do anything to his boss’ hardheadedness. "I’ll just change your appearance for a bit."

Kairos adjusted his newly altered appearance in the mirror, turning his head slightly to examine the details of Thorne’s handiwork. Satisfied with the transformation, he turned back to Thorne, who handed him a stack of docunts.

"Your new identity," Thorne said, though his tone carried an undercurrent of concern. "Just rember, you’re not Kairos Thane while you’re there."

Kairos chuckled softly, his mind already racing with the possibilities of what he would discover. "I know the drill, Thorne. But I appreciate your concern."

Thorne couldn’t shake the worry from his voice as he added, "Just... be careful. She’s not soone to underestimate, she has astronomical stocks, a VVIP mber of the Scarlet Phantom, an affiliated hunter and an investor of Raven Networks Agency. Her skills... are also quite terrifying."

Kairos’ smile widened, more from excitent than anything else. "That’s what makes this interesting."

As Kairos prepared to leave, he thought back to their encounters—how she had outmaneuvered him, saw through his disguise, and left a lasting impression. Her talents were indeed remarkable, and he was eager to see her in action again, this ti on her own turf.

Two weeks remained until the final exams. It would be more than enough ti to set things in motion. As he left the suite, Kairos couldn’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation. He can’t wait to et Remillia again.

Next Monday ca, Remillia was sleeping on her desk while the professor was discussing how to solve the magic formula and since I already reviewed all the subjects every night in advance, I continued to sleep while the rest listened to the professor and occasionally take notes.

"Does anyone know the answer?" The professor looked at the students who has there heads almost touching their desk, afraid to et his gaze. Since it’s obvious that they don’t know the answer, he eyes narrowed at Remillia, who’s now snoring heavily.

He had heard rumors about her from other professors, both praising because of her knowledge and cursing because of her lack of discipline at the sa ti. They even called her the ’Sleeping Genius’. She was regarded as a once in lifeti perfect student, acing both her written and combat exams.

To test if it’s true, "Remillia," he called out, his voice carrying an edge of patience.

Remillia stirred slightly but didn’t wake up. The professor sighed, walking closer to her desk and knocked on it. "Remillia, care to share the solution to this formula with the class?"

The students, who had been waiting for this kind of short movie brought out their snacks secretly as they watched. They knew this scene well—Remillia would be called upon, wake up just in ti, and give the correct answer without breaking a sweat. The professor would be angry and try to scold her, etc. It had beco a spectacle, one that both irritated and amused her classmates. However, this ti the scene ca out differently.

Without opening her eyes, Remillia mumbled the answer, her voice clear and precise despite her groggy state. "The answer is 42. You just have to integrate the function over the given limits, apply the chain rule, and simplify."

The professor blinked, montarily taken aback by how effortlessly she got it right. The rest of the class exchanged glances, so stifling chuckles while others rolled their eyes. It was classic Remillia—sleep through the lecture and still know more than anyone else. They watched her drift back to sleep again.

Despite her behavior, he couldn’t help but be impressed by her brilliance. "As expected of the top student," he declared, his voice carrying a note of approval. "All of you should take a lesson from her and study harder. Excellence doesn’t co from laziness."

The students exchanged bewildered glances, feeling the sting of the professor’s words. It was supposed to be the professor scolding her but they were scolded instead.

It felt unfair, even discriminatory, that Remillia could sleep through class without consequence while they were expected to hang on to every word. But no one dared voice their complaints. They all knew that Remillia had powerful friends who could easily put anyone in their place if they dared to challenge her.

’She’s really lucky!’ They gritted their teeth as they focused more seriously on what the professor is saying.

Remillia didn’t know that she ignited a fla of the whole class to study harder and even push her out of being top one especially Ezekiel. Her friends would only chuckle every ti this scene happens, they were already used to her always stunning the professors with her quick answers.

A week before the final exams. Tuesday night, Remillia was binge watching with Macaron when she received a ssage from her smartwatch.

Kimmy Gabriela: Remillia, rember ? I’m your classmate from Domain Anomaly Analysis. I’m just wondering if you can lend your notes?

Remillia chuckled to herself as she read the ssage from Kimmy Gabriela, a forr classmate from Domain Anomaly Analysis. The mory of Kimmy’s past behavior—pulling her hair and cursing at her—was still fresh. The audacity of the girl to ask for her notes without even offering an apology was almost laughable.

Without a second thought, she restricted Kimmy from her contacts. ’The nerve of this girl!’ she thought, shaking her head. It wasn’t the first ti soone tried to contact her. In fact, Kimmy was the twelfth student that day to ask for tutoring or to borrow notes, all from different classes. Yet, none of her current classmates from Agastia had ever asked for her help. She respected that about them—they worked hard and didn’t rely on others to succeed.

She looked at Cypher who is seriously staring at the formula, he seed like he wanted to murder it so I chuckled quietly.
