It was complete silence. There were at least fifty students there and it was getting all awkward when their eyes landed on before slowly continuing their conversation.
I walked over and chose a seat, I didn’t bother trying to talk to to anyone since they’re all strangers to but at least I know only three or seven of the persons faces, they’re in the sa classes I attend to. I was having a nap when soone disturbed .
"Hey... You’re Remillia right?"
I opened one of my eyes and saw the girl who’s also attending the sa class as I was.
"Yes?"
"What did you do to Luella anyway?"
This ti, I opened both my eyes and sat straight while asking her curiously, "? I did sothing to her?"
’Isn’t it the opposite instead?’
The girl nodded vigorously, "yup! She even announced in her class that she would destroy your pretty little face. She always says, ’that witch bewitched with them! How dare she use her incantations so openly? I swear, I’ll kill her when I have the chance!’ Sothing like this?"
I stared at her with my mouth wide open.
’How childish! She spread rumors about because I got to join Edge and Cypher’s group by using charms? What kind of bullsh!t is that? Because ? I earned that spot in a hard way, not because I want to but because I need to, that’s the only way to know how to get out if this place.’
"She doesn’t deserve to hang around with them if what she’s all thinking about is how to bask in their fa and popularity. What are they, her trophies?"
The girl agreed with , "I agree with you! Teach her lesson instead, I an you haven’t even done sothing to her and she’s acting as if she’s hurt because of what you did!"
"Of course I will beat so sense to her."
The girl clapped as she raised her thumbs up, "wow, you’re so cool when you do that. Your reputation really precedes you."
"What reputation?"
"That you’re the ’Mad Witch?"
"What? Mad Witch?"
"Rumors say that when you fight, you beco like a mad man slaughtering your opponents rcilessly and you also cast incantations to them so they beco crazy. The students here have already seen you cast incantations whispering by yourself."
"What the- That’s bullsh!-"
Before I could finish my sentence, the speakers on the room sounded.
[The first match for the first years will now begin! Calling for Remillia Lockhart and Luella Larsen!]
[The first match for the first years will now begin! Calling for Remillia Lockhart and Luella Larsen!]
Sighing, I stood up and went to the door but before I could open it, the girl cheered up. I don’t know if she’s doing it on purpose just to annoy or not.
"Make sure to beat her up, Remillia the Mad Witch!"
The other students gasped as they looked at .
"She’s the mad witch?"
"Well, she doesn’t look like one."
"It’s sad that we can’t see her fight."
"Yeah, I heard that she really fights like a mad man."
"I’m not a mad wi- you know what? Forget it."
They won’t listen to anyway. Because of this Luella Larson, I beca a mad witch that I don’t even know of!

When the staff led in the center arena, I montarily closed my eyes to adjust to the sun’s brightness. When, I opened my eyes again, the whole arena was filled with people. I looked around for a while before settling my eyes at the person in front of .
’Jeez, she’s already glaring at although this is the first ti I’m seeing her.’
The experienced staffs were chanting absorption barrier around our body so that we could protect ourselves and not deal any heavy blows during the fight but once the blows gathered up a huge amount, it would dispel imdiately leaving the contestant defenseless. It’s not big of a deal since the judges are also watching, they would be the ones to say stop or either one of the contestants admit defeat. They also set up a protective barrier around the arena so that the spectators won’t get hurt even if our attacks reach their seats.
The staff said to us, "you can only choose your main weapon on the armory rack beside you. Take note, these are all ordinary weapons and you cannot take out your real weapons, once you do that you’ll imdiately be disqualified."
Luella imdiately picked a dual blade axe. As for , the usual daggers, of course.
’If only I could use Daedru, I could have shot her only once... No, that would arouse suspicion.’
The host hyping up the audience started the countdown.
The spectators were a little bit disappointed that a high ranking student such as Luella would fight a student like Remillia. She was just making herself look like a bully.
"I can’t watch this."
"Can’t we skip this fight?"
"Borrriiinggg!"
"The outco’s already obvious."
"Is that Luella person no thinking?"
I can hear them loud and clear.
’You want a good show? Then I’ll give them one.’
"Now that the two participants are ready, get ready in 3... 2... 1... Let the sparring begin!"
Considering how hot tempered she is, I was surprised when she didn’t attacked first. But now I realized, as I can see her mocking my weapon.
’Typical, already judging the book by its cover. I’ll show her.’
She arrogantly said to , "why don’t you have the first hit? Even if you hit with that, it’s like you’re only tickling hahaha."
I grinned wickedly at what she said.
"Don’t mind if I do."
She took out one of the daggers and was preparing to aim at her but no one noticed that the mont she threw the dagger, an invisible trace of magic was gradually spreading over the entire arrow.
Whoosh!
The dagger flew towards Luella as fast as lightning. The dagger was extrely fast that no one could see its physical form not even its shadow. The only thing they caught sight of was the reflection of light flashing past through the wide arena.
Luella, who was busy mocking Remillia, suddenly felt that the montum of the dagger was strange and terrifying so she imdiately dodged to avoid the dagger. She thought that she had already avoided it but she heard another sound and a flash of light chasing towards the first dagger.
Clang!
The second dagger hit the first dagger’s poml (butt of the knife) with the perfect calibration. As a result of the impact, the first dagger which was flying straight, imdiately turned its direction and rushed towards the dodging figure of Luella.
Luella’s eyes widened in surprise as she realized, to her horror, that there was a dagger heading straight for her. With a sense of inevitability, she could only raise her axe to deflect the arrow, thinking it was already too late to dodge.
The dagger, rushing at an incredible speed was hit by Luella’s axe but the trajectory only changed as it her in her right thigh.
Luckily, thanks to the armor, it didn’t hurt her although she could feel a little sting.
Luella was trembling in anger.
’How? How could that be possible? She clearly used her axe to prevent the dagger from piercing her face and yet it still managed to hit her on the thigh?’
When the scene unfolded before the bored crowd imdiately stunned them, it’s as if they were watching a magic trick. The audience’s gasps and whispers filled the air as they struggled to comprehend what they were witnessing. It was as if the dagger had defied the laws of physics, changing direction mid-air to strike Luella Larson with uncanny precision.
As the audience gazed at Luella who was still kneeling, they noticed sothing peculiar. The dagger was stuck on her thigh as if the dagger’s path had sohow changed in mid-air to strike her.
The crowd’s collective jaw dropped as they struggled to make sense of this phenonon. "How is this possible?" soone whispered. "There was so much distance between the dagger and her thigh.. how did it still leave a mark?"
The air was thick with questions as the audience debated the impossibility of what they had just witnessed. Luella, still reeling from the shock of being shot by a dagger that seed to defy physics, couldn’t help but wonder the sa thing.
"Yoo-hoo~"
Luella snapped back to reality as she turned to look at Remillia who is waving her hand.
"Could you return my dagger? I only have limited resources and I don’t want to waste on soone like you."
Her veins in her forehead throbbed as she removed the dagger stuck in her thigh.
"You cheated, you witch!"
Remillia just laughed at her.
"Have you gone crazy? The judges should have disqualified by now."
"Then how?"
Luella saw a mischievous glint in Remillia’s eyes before disappearing again.
"You see, Luella," she said with a sly grin, "you’re such a big idiot, looking down on others will only make yourself more stupid."
Luella gritted her teeth and rushed towards her.
’Yes, that’s it! It’s easy for people to lose rational thinking when they’re insulted or annoyed by soone they hate.’
