9:30 AM, Tuesday

I applied the ointnt that Kairos had given before going to sleep, and to my surprise, it worked wonders. I had expected to toss and turn all night due to the pain, but the soothing properties of the ointnt eased my discomfort. When I woke up the next day, the stinging pain was gone, and even the scar was slowly fading.

I found myself wondering about the na of the ointnt Kairos had given . It was far more effective than the one Professor Orion had provided. I made a ntal note to ask him about it later.

As I glanced to my side, I saw Macaron and Glacier still sleeping together. I couldn’t bring myself to wake them, so I quietly slipped out of bed and headed to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast.

I decided on a huge steak for Glacier—he deserved a hearty al after all the energy he had expended yesterday—and a clubhouse sandwich for Macaron, who always seed to appreciate a good treat.

Once I finished preparing their food, I took a quick bath to freshen up. The warm water felt refreshing against my skin.

I was busy changing into a fresh outfit, my smartwatch beeped, pulling out of my thoughts.

{Remillia, the place is ready. Do you want to check it first?} Stephen texted.

That was fast. I had anticipated it would take at least a month to get everything set up, considering how large I wanted the place to be for Glacier.

{Sure. I’ll be there} I texted back, feeling a surge of excitent.

After quickly finishing up, I made sure Macaron and Glacier were still content in their slumber before heading out. I couldn’t wait to see the new space and how it would accommodate Glacier’s needs.

Nocturna Agency, Monfort

I stood in front of the large building adjacent to Nocturna Agency, taking in its unassuming exterior. It looked like a simple structure from the outside, but as soon as I stepped inside, it felt like I had entered a massive freezer.

Thanks to the thermoregulating earrings that Kairos had given , I couldn’t feel the cold, which was a relief. I had no idea how I would have managed otherwise.

"So? What do you think? Is it okay? Does it still need so adjustnts?" Stephen asked, his voice slightly muffled as he chattered his teeth.

"No, this is perfect!" I said as if I’m taking a walk in the park as the cold wind blew towards us.

"Ummm don’t you feel cold right now?" Stephen said, eyeing my clothes with concern. I could see the way he was shivering, and it made feel a bit guilty for being so comfortable.

"No, I’m already used to this," is what I can only say while smiling.

"L-let’s talk outside, shall we?" Stephen suggested, clearly eager to escape the icy interior. I nodded in agreent, afraid that Stephen would get hypothermia.

Once we were outside, the fresh air felt invigorating. Stephen took a deep breath, enjoying the contrast between the cold building and the pleasant weather.

"How are you doing these days?" I asked, genuinely curious about how things were going for him.

"Too busy," Stephen replied with a chuckle. "The agency’s getting more popular, and rcenaries are piling up, waiting to be accepted."

"That’s aweso!" I said, my excitent evident. "Any issues so far?"

"Budget’s solid, and the inco is flowing as usual—only this ti, it’s doubled," Stephen said, a proud smile spreading across his face.

"Wow, that’s impressive! It sounds like you’re doing an amazing job managing everything," I said, feeling a sense of pride for him.

"Thanks! It’s a lot of work, but seeing the agency grow makes it all worth it," he replied, his enthusiasm infectious.

"Once again, I’m sorry if I pushed all the work onto you," I said, a hint of guilt creeping into my voice. "I’m the CEO, yet I don’t even do much for the company."

"No need to apologize," Stephen said, waving his hand dismissively. "I actually enjoy running the day-to-day operations while you’re still finding your footing. Plus, you pay a handso salary—much higher than my previous job."

I chuckled, feeling a bit more at ease. "Well, I’m glad you’re happy with it. I just want to make sure you feel supported, especially since you’re doing so much."

"Trust , I appreciate it," he said, his smile widening. "And I know that once you’re ready to dive in, you’ll soon be recognized as the legendary tycoon of Aeonia!"

I laughed at his remark. "I’d rather let you play CEO while I stay behind the scenes. I don’t want my life interrupted by businessn wanting to collaborate with ."

"But I—" Stephen started to say, but I cut him off.

"I’ll double your salary for the next five years," I said, a playful smirk on my face.

"You’re really the best boss!" Stephen exclaid, holding out two thumbs in approval as happy tears stread down his cheeks.

"I have sowhere else to go. Bye, Stephen," I said, turning to leave.

"Bye, CEO!" he called out enthusiastically.

I gestured for him to keep it down. I didn’t want anyone else to know that I was the CEO.

With that, I bid him farewell and headed out, ready for my next eting—lunch with my friends. I rode my bike and raced towards the heavy traffic.

12: 05 PM, Opaline Oasis Restaurant

I was running late as I parked my bike and rushed inside. Sure enough, I was the only one who was late again.

All eyes turned to , and I could see Angela preparing to scold . But I spoke up first. "I’m sorry! There was a bit of traffic on the way here," I said, trying to defuse the situation.

"Is it really traffic, or did you just wake up late again?" Cypher asked, a teasing smile on his face.

"Traffic, of course," I lied, trying to sound convincing.

"Remind to gift you at least ten alarm clocks so you can wake up on ti," Rex chid in.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Remind to gift you a hundred loose shirts since you like flexing your muscles," I shot back, gesturing at his shirt. "I an, you look like a beggar; your sleeves are ripped again."

"Pfft!" Christian stifled a laugh, clearly enjoying the banter.

"Witch," Rex muttered, crossing his arms.

"Musclehead," I shot back, unable to resist the playful jab.

"Okay, that’s enough," Whitney interjected. "Can we sit down now? These heels are killing ."

Angela took the lead, heading in first since she was the most familiar with the place. She had been coming here since she was a kid and knew all the best spots. She guided us towards the balcony, where a stunning view of the beach awaited us. There, a circular table was exclusively reserved for our group. We were the only ones there.

Cypher, Christian, and I were in awe, while the rest rely glanced around, already accustod to the beautiful scenery. They settled into their seats without much fanfare.

"Let’s all sit down!" Angela announced, waiting for Cypher to take his seat before imdiately plopping down next to him.

Edge quickly slid into the spot next to Angela, bumping into Christian, who was about to sit there himself.

Christian scratched his head in mild annoyance as he took the seat next to instead.

Once we were all settled, a waiter approached with the nus and gave us one each. "If you’re done choosing, please call again. I’ll be waiting at the side," he said politely before stepping back and standing still, ready to assist.

"The food here is amazing! You can choose anything you want," Angela said enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling with excitent.

"Every food always taste amazing to you," Edge teased.

"Every food always tastes amazing to you," Edge teased, raising an eyebrow.

Angela shot him a playful jab in the arm. "You know it’s true!"

We each focused on the nu, scanning the options. After a few monts, Angela called the waiter over and placed our orders.

As we waited for the food to arrive, the conversation flowed easily. We chatted happily about our mories from the parallel world, sharing laughs and stories, while also expressing our worries about the upcoming exams.

While I was silently listening to their conversations, I noticed sothing different.

As usual, Edge was eyeing Cypher again, a familiar glint in his eye.

"Hey Cypher, are you preparing well for the exams?" Edge started, leaning forward with a smirk.

"I’m having trouble with certain subjects. What about you?" Cypher replied, his brow furrowing slightly.

"Hah!" Edge laughed, shaking his head. "Have you ever seen study? I’m on a different level than you!"

"Oh, is that so?" Cypher said nonchalantly.

"Of course! I’ve got it easy while you have to earn it through hard work," Edge said, a cocky grin spreading across his face.
