Next up was Squad Ezekiel.
I confidently stood up and made my way to the front of the room. As I glanced at Professor Orion he was silently giving two thumbs up, which only made my face heat up in embarrassnt. But sohow, I got happy that soone was cheering for instead of scrutinizing . I could see the instructor beside him staring at him in astonishnt. I couldn’t help but facepalm myself again.
With a sigh, I focused on setting up our presentation. In a past life, I had stood on stages like this countless tis, passionately discussing new projects, only to have my efforts ruthlessly dismissed. Those experiences had molded into soone who no longer flinched at the idea of public scrutiny. Nervousness? Embarrassnt? Those feelings had long been banished from my repertoire.
"Good afternoon everyone. I am Remillia Lockhart from Squad 5 and today I will be presenting our comprehensive analysis on how to conquer the Cinderfrost Dungeon," I began, my voice steady and clear.
I turned on the projector as it whirred to life, illuminating the screen behind with a dramatic aerial view of the Cinderfrost Dungeon. I could already feel the eyes of the students on , so curious and so skeptical. "As you can see here, this dungeon is located in the Frostwood Mountains. However, because the guild in charge of it, the Serpent Guild, hasn’t released any information on the results of recent expeditions, I thought it was prudent to gather our own data through other ans."
I continued to explain, gesturing to the location map that showcased the surrounding areas. "We have also highlighted key entry points and pathways to navigate through the dungeon efficiently."
I clicked to the next slide, displaying a detailed cross-sectional map of the dungeon. "This is the cross-sectional layout of the Cinderfrost Dungeon," I continued, my enthusiasm building. "The layers of the dungeon consist of several distinct zones—each zone was guarded by frost and fire elental creatures and traps." I pointed to the segnts, emphasizing where enemies like Frostbite Spiders and Cinder Hounds would likely reside.
The next slide showcased a diagram illustrating the mana composition within the dungeon’s environnt. "As you can see here, the mana in the Cinderfrost Dungeon is heavily influenced by the surrounding elental energies," I clarified. "The unique mana composition of Cinderfrost Dungeon has been found to enhance fire and ice spells, making them significantly more powerful than so of the dungeons. This phenonon can be harnessed for both offensive and defensive strategies. With the right mana absorption techniques, particularly those focused on elental synergy, Heroes can gain a significant advantage in conquering this type of dungeon."
I paused for a mont, "With this understanding in mind, we also devised a combat calculation strategy on how best to conquer the challenges within the dungeon," I stated, my excitent palpable. "The calculations involve assessing not only the strengths and weaknesses of each enemy but also predicting their attack patterns based on their elental affinities."
I presented a series of calculated models on the screen, each displaying potential combat scenarios. "If we can anticipate their moves while leveraging our own elental resistances, we can create openings for counter-attacks, maximizing our damage output."
The presentation flowed seamlessly as I delved into the strategies I had developed. I paused, scanning the room for reactions. Everyone seed to be intently listening to .
"Thank you for your attention," I concluded, smiling confidently as I clicked the final slide that displayed my squad’s na. "I open the floor for any questions."
The instructor look at with skepticism. "As you said in the first place, you haven’t gathered any concrete information from the guild surrounding the dungeon. So how could we believe what you said without any reliable sources?" His gaze swept over the class, clearly enjoying the tension in the room. "Rember, your points will be heavily deducted if you simply present with less information and add fancy words."
Unfazed, I decided to tell the truth. "I understand your concern, Instructor, but my squad genuinely has reliable sources. Since the Serpent Guild doesn’t want to share their precious information, I decided to approach Orion Index..." I pulled out my phone to open the email that contained information of Cinderfrost Dungeon, "And if you still don’t believe ..."
With a few taps, I displayed the email from Orion Index—its official logo standing out starkly against the screen. The room fell silent, and a wave of gasps filled the air.
"Woah! She’s unbelievable!"
"How did she manage to get top-grade information?!"
"I heard that Orion Index only caters to distinguished individuals and guilds."
"How?"
"That’s unfair! We worked hard to please the guilds guarding the dungeons while she just bought information!"
I could hear the murmurs of disbelief and envy, echoing around the room but I stayed composed. "Instructor, you never said anything about acquiring information exclusively from the guilds in the first place. Since the dungeon we chose lacks complete data, I had no choice but to request information from Orion Index. That way, I can present reliable and complete data."
The instructor appeared dumbfounded for a mont, rubbing his chin in thought before clearing his throat. "Everyone, what Remillia said is true. I didn’t ntion that you can only approach the guilds in obtaining data for your presentation."
Suddenly, Professor Orion stood up, a broad smile on his face as he clapped his hands enthusiastically. "Remillia’s way of thinking is excellent! Instead of presenting us with a lack of information because so petty guild won’t give their data, she thought of a way to gather information independently! You can see that the information given to her was only the layout and contents of the monsters residing there, which ans she was the one who provided details on their weak points and thought of a comprehensive strategy to conquer the dungeon like an adept Conqueror!"
The students was even more amazed when they heard Professor Orion’s explanation.
"Everyone let’s clap for Remillia’s flawless presentation!" Professor Orion declared, seizing the mont to celebrate my efforts.
He began clapping fiercely, his enthusiasm spilling forth like a tidal wave, and I quickly noticed his intentions. My cheeks burned with embarrassnt as I gestured for him to stop, horrified, but he ignored and clapped louder, seemingly intent on drawing every eye in the room to my embarrassing predicant.
"Thank you and that’s all for our presentation," I finally exclaid, trying to regain my composure.
As the applause finally subsided, I made my way back to my seat, which was next to my squad. They greeted with a chorus of cheers and whistles, beaming with pride. I couldn’t help but laugh and join in on the celebration, feeling relieved that my presentation was finally done.
The students couldn’t help but eye Remillia’s squad with envy while Professor Orion expertly excused himself from the room as he only ca there to watch his apprentice.

The class finally ended at 6 PM.
and Ezekiel were walking back to our dorms, the excitent of the day’s events still lingered in the air. Our squad mates, Adrian and the others, had been eager to celebrate our success with an after-party, but Ezekiel and I decided not to join, citing prior commitnts. I had another appointnt to attend to, and Ezekiel had a livestream to prepare for.
As we strolled along, we chatted about the squad quest, reliving the highlights and lowlights of the presentations. We giggled about Whitney’s disastrous performance, and I expressed admiration for Edge’s intimidating presentation style. Ezekiel shared his thoughts on Cypher’s straightforward approach, and I nodded in agreent.
As we approached my floor, I announced, "Well, my floor is here..." expecting Ezekiel to bid farewell.
But instead, he handed a piece of paper, his expression serious. "What’s this?" I asked, curiosity piqued.
Ezekiel’s response caught off guard. "Are you perhaps interested in the Gilded Sword Guild?" he asked, his eyes locked onto mine.
I hesitated for a mont before responding, "...Yes?"
Before I could elaborate, Ezekiel continued, "To tell you the truth, I was the one who recomnded the Gilded Sword Guild to contact you, but it seems they assud things on their own by looking at your background and status as a student."
I took a look about what the paper contains and realized that it was a contract. The terms were impressive, far better than the ones I had seen in my email. If I were still in my previous life, I would have been over the moon with excitent.
Ezekiel’s parting words were simple yet aningful. "Please give it a thought."
With a wave, he turned and walked away, disappearing into the hall. I watched him go for a mont before stepping into my room, the door clicking shut behind .
Once inside, I decided to keep the contract on my drawer first. Just then, my smart watch beeped, signaling a new ssage. It was from Cypher.
{We were supposed to go tonight at the Dungeon but my teammates pulled to have an after-party. Let’s go tomorrow at dawn instead. Is that okay?}
I quickly typed back. {Sure. Have fun at your after-party.}
After that, I started packing my bag and chose an outfit for tomorrow.
