I Was The Only Omega In The Beast World Chapter 116: CP:116 The Portal Between Earth And Beast World
[CHOICE CONFIRD: Option C - Hybrid Existence]
[Unlocking dual-world portal access...]
[Calculating transition paraters...]
[WARNING: First portal opening will require significant energy expenditure from the Seven Stones. Subsequent portals will be easier but still limited by cooldown periods.]
[Recomnded portal frequency: Once every 7 days minimum]
[Portal duration: 24 hours maximum per opening]
[This allows for Earth dical care during pregnancies while maintaining Beast World residence]
The system’s panel shifted, showing a swirling gateway made of pure light—contained within the seven stones’ combined power.
"Wait," Naga said, his coils tightening protectively around Alex. "You’re saying you can go back? To your world? And return here?"
"Apparently," Alex confird, still staring at the holographic display. "The stones together create portals between dinsions. I can visit Earth. Get dical care. See my sister. Then co back here."
"And the children?" Leo asked, one hand unconsciously moving to where Jade was coiled in his carrier. "They can travel too?"
[Children of mixed heritage (Beast World Earth human) can traverse portals safely,] System confird. [They’ll be able to choose when they’re older which world they prefer. Or move between both.]
" System said yes. " Alex replied.
"That’s..." Zale surfaced in his ocean sphere, scales shimring with relief. "That’s actually perfect. You don’t have to choose between your old family and your new one."
" Umm." Alex nodded his head then looked at system.
" But I’m still angry at you," He said.
"For lying. For manipulating . For making think I had to choose in the first place."
[I know,] System said quietly. [And I’ll spend however long it takes making it up to you. But Host... aren’t you glad you didn’t give up on day one?]
Alex looked at his family again.
At the life he’d built.
At the impossible, chaotic, beautiful ss of it all.
"Yeah," he admitted. "I’m glad."
"So," Drakar said, ruby eyes gleaming with interest. "When do I get to see this Earth of yours? I’m quite curious about these ’tall buildings’ and humans without beast forms."
"You want to co to Earth?" Alex asked, incredulous.
"Of course," Drakar said, as if this was obvious. "The prophecy showed glimpses, but I want to see it properly. Besides—" His gaze dropped to the six snakelings. "—if you’re giving birth there, soone needs to ensure everything goes right for hybrid offspring. After all, every cubs are precious in the Beast World. "
"You want to ensure everything goes right with our mate?," Leo muttered.Squinting his eyes in suspicion. "Like a..healer."
If you want to be a healer," Drakar said with dignity. "I don’t mind. I’ve seen countless females bearing children in my lifeti. This one shouldn’t be hard. "
"But I bet you’ve never seen a male getting pregnant," Alex pointed out.
"True. That’s why I want to experience it all," Drakar replied, watching Siddy—who had finally escaped his carrier and was attempting to investigate Drakar’s tail with single-minded determination.
Sterling had also escaped (because of course he had) and was already trying to scale Drakar’s leg.
River remained peacefully coiled around Alex’s wrist, watching the chaos with his usual calm.
Ripple pressed tighter against Alex’s side, overwheld by all the changes.
Jade stayed alert on Naga’s shoulder, hood half-flared in protective readiness.
Onyx had sohow slept through the entire emotional revelation and was snoring softly.
"Alright," Alex said, feeling the weight of decision settle into certainty. "Here’s the plan. We open a portal to Earth. I visit my sister. Explain—sohow—that I’m alive and living in another dinsion with three beast-man husbands and six snake children."
"That conversation should be interesting," Granite rumbled.
"I know," Alex agreed. "Then we co back here. Find a location for the sanctuary. Actually BUILD the sanctuary. And..." He looked at the mission panel still floating in the air. "And I guess I work on the rest of this absolutely insane quest."
[SANCTUARY ESTABLISHNT UNLOCKED]
[New Quest: "Find the Perfect Territory"]
[Requirents:
• Defensible location
• Access to fresh water
• Sufficient space for growing family (current: 13 adults 6 children, projected: 13 adults 20 children)
• Neutral ground not claid by existing tribes
• Proximity to multiple territories for diplomatic access]
[Recomnded: Borderland between Bear, Wolf, and Eagle territories—unclaid mountain valley with natural hot springs]
[ Perfect for r-person health maintenance. Also ideal for egg incubation if future pregnancies involve egg-laying species.]
"I’m not laying eggs," Alex said firmly.
[You say that now,] System replied. [But you haven’t t all your future mates yet.]
"I have THREE mates. That’s plenty."
[The quest requires five minimum for top-tier status.]
"I’m not—" Alex stopped. Took a breath. "One crisis at a ti. First, Earth. Then sanctuary. Then we’ll discuss the terrifying possibility of more husbands."
"Terrifying for whom?" Drakar asked with amusent.
"For !" Alex said. "Do you have any idea how complicated three mates already is? The scheduling alone—"
"Is worth it," Naga interrupted softly, his coils shifting to bring Alex closer. "Every complication. Every challenge. Worth it."
Leo nodded agreent. "What he said."
"Well said," Zale added from his sphere, but his expression was warm.
Skye, who had been silent through most of the exchange, finally spoke.
"If you’re opening a portal to Earth," he said quietly, "could I... could I co with you? I’d like to see it. The world without wings. Maybe it would help figure out how to exist without flying."
Alex felt his chest tighten.
"Of course you can co," he said. "Anyone who wants to see Earth can co. Though fair warning—it’s going to be extrely weird explaining any of you to my sister."
"How do you plan to explain this?" Granite asked reasonably. "Any of this?"
"Badly," Alex admitted. "Very, very badly. But honestly? After six months of impossible things, what’s one more?"
[PORTAL PREPARATION INITIATED]
[Gathering energy from Seven Stones...]
[Estimated ti to portal opening: 24 hours]
[Location: Current position (Dragon Citadel)]
[Destination: Earth - Alex’s last known residence]
[Duration: 24 hours maximum]
[Travelers: Select party mbers now]
"Twenty-four hours to prepare," Alex said, looking at his assembled family. "Who’s coming to Earth with ?"
"I am," all three mates said simultaneously.
"Obviously," Alex said. "Anyone else?"
"I’ll stay," Granite rumbled. "Soone needs to begin scouting the sanctuary location. And I’m not sure Earth is ready for a seven-foot bear-man."
"Well. Earth isn’t ready for anyone among us," Alex chuckled.
"I’ll co," Skye said. "If you’ll have ."
"Of course."
"And I," Drakar announced. "This is non-negotiable. I must see this world of yours."
[Helpful suggestion: The system can provide temporary human-appearance disguises for beast-form features. Wings, tails, scales, and non-human characteristics can be hidden for up to 24 hours.]
"That’s actually useful," Alex admitted.
[SEE? I’m helpful! I’m making up for the lying!]
"You’re on thin ice," Alex said. "But yes, that helps."
He looked at the six snakelings—currently in various states of chaos, sleep, or attempted dragon-climbing.
"The babies stay here," he decided. "They’re too young, and I don’t trust them not to bite soone important. Granite, can you—"
"I’ll watch them," Granite said imdiately.
Granite confird. " A bear can handle six three-month-old snakelings for twenty-four hours. Probably."
"Your confidence is inspiring," Alex said dryly.
The next twenty-four hours were controlled chaos.
Alex tried to prepare ntally for seeing his sister again.
His mates peppered him with questions about Earth—What do humans eat? How do they fight? Do they have territories? What’s a ’car’? What’s ’wifi’? Why do you need so many different types of coffee?
Drakar studied human clothing with the intensity of soone preparing for war, eventually settling on black jeans, a dark shirt, and a long coat that sohow made him look even more intimidating.
Skye practiced walking without letting his wings droop—the glamour would hide them, but the muscle mory remained.
And the six snakelings sensed sothing was wrong.
They clung tighter than usual. Jade refused to leave Naga’s shoulder. Ripple wouldn’t let Alex out of sight. Siddy’s escape attempts beca more frequent and more desperate. Sterling climbed everything in reach. Onyx stopped sleeping well.
Even River seed unsettled, his calm blue eyes tracking Alex’s every movent.
"They know," Naga said quietly, watching Alex try to soothe Ripple for the third ti. "They sense you’re leaving."
"Just for a day," Alex said, stroking the anxious snakeling’s scales. "One day. Then I co back."
"They don’t understand ti yet," Naga said. "They only understand absence."
"Then we make sure they know I’m coming back," Alex said firmly.
He gathered all six babies—Jade, Ripple, Siddy, Sterling, Onyx, and River—into his lap.
"Listen," he said, knowing they couldn’t understand words but hoping they’d understand tone. "I have to go away for a little while. Just one day. One sleep. Then I co back."
Six pairs of eyes watched him—so drowsy, so alert, all focused entirely on his face.
"Uncle Granite and Uncle Zale will watch you. Your fathers will co with , but we’re coming back. All of us. I promise."
River coiled tighter around his wrist, as if trying to hold him there.
Siddy hissed softly—not aggressive, just... sad.
Jade’s hood flared slightly, then settled.
Ripple pressed his face against Alex’s palm.
Sterling climbed to Alex’s shoulder and stayed there, perfectly still for once.
Onyx woke up long enough to chirp once, then dozed off again against Alex’s chest.
"I love you," Alex whispered to all of them. "All six of you. So much. And I’m coming back."
When the portal opened, it was beautiful.
The seven stones rose from Alex’s pouch—floating in a perfect circle, each one pulsing with its unique energy. Black Void, Golden Light, Silver Life, Bronze Earth, Blue Water, Clear Air, Red Fire.
They spun faster, faster, until the space between them rippled like water disturbed by wind.
And then—
