I sat across from Lee Gunwoo at the old table the children had brought.
There were three chairs - one wooden log and two tal ones - but six people who wanted to sit.
Though we were short on chairs, it wasn't a problem for us.
Sharing seats was an everyday thing for us.

Gaeul smiled brightly as she squeezed onto the log chair beside .
Just shifting over slightly was enough for both of us to fit on the log chair.
'The others...'
Saebyeok sat Levinas and Bom on her lap in the tal chair.
Being strong, Saebyeok could handle two on her lap.
'Everyone's seated.'
Ti to start the interview.
Ahem, just as I cleared my throat, Levinas drumd the table with her small fists.
"This will be a pressure interview!"

Gaeul raised her eyebrows like Levinas had.

Gaeul stood up from the log chair and thrust out her clenched fist.

An ant scurried around on Gaeul's palm.
It even bit her palm with its distinctive pincers, but Gaeul remained still as if unbothered.

Gaeul's expression showed shock.

The ant that flew off her hand scurried across the floor.

Gaeul's ears perked up as she plopped back down on the log chair.
Then she started clapping.

Beast-kin magic is quite amazing.
It was a perfectly understandable reason.
"Studying magic in the beast-kin village is fine, but I'd like you to teach magic to the beast-kin in return."
"Yes. I had no intention of taking without giving back."
"Oh. Then you pass."
At my declaration, the children clapped.
Only Bom didn't clap, just fidgeting with her feet.
"Thank you. Should I prepare until it's ti to go?"

After playing in the park, we got on the elevator.
Bom wagged her tail while watching outside through the rising elevator.

When the elevator doors opened and all the children got off, Bom stayed behind and pressed the first floor button.

As I watched Bom, she looked out of the elevator and said:
"I'll just ride once more."

We went back down to the first floor and rode up to ho with Bom.
Even on the second ride, Bom's excitent hadn't diminished.
"Want to ride again?"
"Hmm..."
Bom looked back and forth between the first floor button and us.
After so thought, Bom chose us over the elevator.
"I rode twice already, so let's go ho and play now."
"Okay."
Though she seed to want more rides.
Had she endured that desire to choose us?
The children seed happy that Bom had chosen them, wagging their tails gently.
"Levinas is second!"
"Second?"
"Yeah! Today Bom gets to go in first!"
Levinas opened the front door and pushed Bom's back.
Though pushed, there was no resistance in Bom's steps.
"Today I'm first!"
After taking off her shoes, Bom ran down the hallway.
The rest of us ran after her.
As I looked around while running down the hall, I noticed Saebyeok wasn't beside us.
Stopping my run and looking back, I saw Saebyeok organizing the shoes we'd carelessly kicked off.
"Oh..."
Saebyeok was so grown-up.
I wanted to go back and help, but Saebyeok had already finished organizing the shoes.
I decided to just say thank you.
"Saebyeok, thanks always."
"Yeah. I'm always thankful too."
"Hehe..."
So Saebyeok was thankful to too.
Though I didn't know why, I didn't ask.
I knew Saebyeok's feelings were sincere.

Back ho, Levinas flopped down on the sofa.
Today's plan was to casually explore the mysterious human world.
She took out her smartphone from her pocket and clumsily typed away.
Today she wanted to check how humans thought about beast-kin.

Though she'd told the truth and been kind, the responses were negative.
Frustrated, Levinas got up from the sofa and started hopping in place.

The angry Levinas stomped on the innocent floor.
She shook her arms and head up and down wildly.
Why was Levinas suddenly acting like this?
Sitting on the sofa, Gyeoul watched Levinas with mouth agape.
