While continuing to receive presents, I’d already made it through a decent number of rounds. Physical fatigue gets healed whenever I move between parallel worlds, so it’s only ntal fatigue I have to deal with, but even that isn’t an issue at all.

I an, receiving presents doesn’t really require stamina, and even though I’ve been talking a bit, it’s just fun conversation, not anything that tires out. Honestly, I feel like I can go all the way to the end without taking a break.

Oh, next is Tre-san. I wonder what her present is? Probably sothing like a magic crystal? While I was thinking about that, Tre-san ca over, led by Ein-san. She had a smug look on her face, she’s totally about to say sothing like "It's finally the turn of this long-awaited !".

[Fuuu, kept you waiting, Kaito! At last, it’s finally the turn of this long-awaited Onee-chan!]

[That line was exactly what I expected.]

[W- What……!? Y- You read !? Ngh…… you’ve gotten better, Kaito…… But don’t think you’ll get the better of next ti!]

That kind of perfect back-and-forth is honestly so much fun. It’s really nice how she always reacts just the way I hope.

[Well, anyway…… Kaito, happy birthday~~]

[Thank you very much.]

[By the way, what number are you on now?]

[Huh? You know about the whole using parallel worlds to receive presents?]

[Unn! Everyone was told ahead of ti. They explained that Kaito would be receiving presents during this ti, and afterward the parallel worlds would rge and our mories would carry over, so we wouldn’t get confused~~]

[Ahh, yeah, now that you ntion it, if there’s going to be a rge at the end, people definitely need to know or it’d be super confusing.]

It looks like all the participants were inford beforehand about the use of parallel worlds for present deliveries.

Well, yeah, considering the number of people, receiving presents from everyone directly would take forever, and the thod is already so supernatural that no one’s going to complain about it.

[Let’s see…… this is about the 32nd one, I think.]

[Oh wow, you’ve already gotten that many? Are you okay? Not tired?]

[Not at all. Physical fatigue gets healed, and ntally, it’s just chatting while I get presents, so I’m genuinely enjoying it.]

[Heehh, you’re pretty tough. I an, we sent a bunch from our side too, but there’s a lot from others as well, right……? Like, unless I’m imagining things, there’s gotta be about 500 people?]

[Yeah, that sounds about right. Pretty much all of Kuro’s family and everyone from Lilia-san’s mansion ca, and a bunch of people I greeted at the Harmonic Symphony tea party also showed up, so it probably adds up to that.]

It’s definitely not as many as a thousand. I’m pretty sure it’s limited to people I’ve at least exchanged a word with. Otherwise, we’d have every single God showing up here, and that’s clearly not happening…… That said, even a single word seems to qualify, and honestly, there are so people whose nas I can’t even rember. Like, we may have exchanged greetings in passing, but I’m not sure I ever formally introduced myself to them.

[So you’re going to keep receiving presents from everyone? Isn’t that tough? I an, just hypothetically, I understand this would never happen, but even if the handoff went super smoothly, at 500 people, if each took just one minute, that’s 8 hours. And if it averages 10 minutes with chatting, that’s like 80 hours!]

[Well, they’re all celebrating my birthday, so I’m actually happy to receive them directly. It’s not like I’m just doing the sa thing over and over, and compared to sothing like walking through an unchanging space for a hundred years, this is nothing……]

[No, like, I don’t know how to respond when you compare it to literal mind-breaking torture…… Kaito, you’re one tough kid. Onee-chan’s seriously impressed.]

Well, I an, I don’t know if it’s actually 500 people, but even if it is, it’s not a big deal. Sure, if I were spending an hour talking with each one…… I might get tired, but I’m just casually chatting while accepting presents, so there’s zero reason to feel exhausted.

[Oops, looks like we got a bit off track. Here you go, my long-awaited present!]

[Thank you very much. That’s quite a large box.]

[Fufufu, it’s a bookshelf for your desk! The center part slides out, you know. Pretty cool, right~~?]

I thought it might be sothing related to magical tools, but it turned out to be completely unrelated. Still, I had to admit, it was an impressively spot-on choice.

Now that I think about it, I had been wishing for a small bookshelf for my desk. I could store books in the magic box, but when it ca to sothing like a book I was in the middle of reading, having to take out the magic box every ti, dig through it, and pull it out…… it was just a hassle. Having it right on the desk was way better.

[I’m honestly surprised. You gave sothing unexpectedly and perfectly useful.]

[Hmm? That line makes it sound like you were halfway expecting to bring so kind of gag gift~~]

[……Well, I did consider the possibility, a little.]

[I was torn between this and a super realistic rainbow frog pen holder, you know.]

[I’m glad you went with this one. In any case, thank you again.]

[Don’t ntion it~~ Oh, and hey, doesn’t your Otherworld culture say you’re supposed to return gifts triple in value? I’m loo…… wait, no, I really don’t need three desk bookshelves……]

[Ahaha, well, it’s not like you literally triple what you received…… but if you want sothing in return, I’ll need to know your birthday, Tre-san……]

[……When was it again?]

[Ehhh……]

[I an, I’ve lived so long, you know? And we don’t really have the tradition of celebrating birthdays in the Demon Realm…… But since I do want a return gift, I guess I’ll figure one out!]

As Tre-san gave a big thumbs-up, I couldn’t help but chuckle wryly, holding back the urge to question whether birthdays were really sothing you were supposed to co up with.

Serious-senpai : [It’s easy to forget, but co to think of it, Kaito…… he does have a ridiculously strong ntal fortitude……. like, canonically strongest-level……]

? ? ? : [Well, I an, if soone can walk through an unchanging landscape for a hundred years and then say sothing like "that went by faster than I expected", then yeah…… receiving presents from 500 people probably isn’t much of a ntal burden for him.]
