I understood the general outline of the ga tournant, but I couldn’t help being curious about the so-called commorative prize given to the winner.
Knowing Alice, I doubt it’s sothing I’d genuinely dislike……
"Incidentally, the commorative prize for the winner is…… this trophy-style ornant!"
"Hmm~~ Ah, that’s the necklace Kai-chan always wears!"
"Exactly. Since this is a tournant commorating Kaito-san’s birthday, the trophy is designed with the necklace he always wears. Well, this necklace isn’t a magic item, it’s just an ornant, so it doesn’t actually use any magic crystals."
I see, that’s the approach they took…… What Alice pulled out was a trophy with a design that enclosed the black magic crystal necklace I always wear, the one I got from Kuro, inside a crystal-like cylinder.
That necklace really is sothing I wear all the ti, so in a way, it could be said to symbolize .
It seems like I didn’t need to worry, and feeling relieved, I listened as Alice continued explaining. It seed that aside from the actual tournant, there were also ga consoles set up for practice, so if soone was nervous about jumping straight into the competition, they could warm up first and then join from the second tournant onward.
As I watched the recruitnt for the first tournant’s participants after the explanation ended, people’s personalities really started to show. For example, Frea-san and War King's Subordinates were quick to sign up for the first round, seemingly with a “let’s just give it a shot” attitude.
On the other hand, the mbers of the Ten Demons and the Seven Princesses were mostly in observation mode for the first round, planning to join in from the second round or later…… Well, Blossom-san seed pretty enthusiastic and joined the first one right away though……
Still, seeing it all like this, the number of participants is pretty large. Unlike the ti on the ship party, it seems that everyone who could even loosely be considered an acquaintance of mine is here, even if I don’t have their contact info.
It’s surprising how many acquaintances I have whose contact info I don’t actually know. Especially among the War King's Subordinates———— thanks to attending a few banquets hosted by giddo-san, I’ve talked to quite a few of them before.
Many of them have those lively extroverted personalities who love fun, so while I’ve had conversations with them at parties and such, we never really exchanged contact info. Still, a good number of them showed up, which adds to the headcount.
Also, people who’ve played on my ga console and have experience with the ga are entering the first tournant. Well, just because they’ve played before doesn’t automatically make them favorites to win……
For example, Aoi-chan is competitive and skilled but…… she tends to prefer flashy, novel characters. The kind with huge wind-ups, super slow attacks that rarely hit, but when they do, they deal absurd amounts of damage, or glass cannon-types that are ridiculously fragile and require perfect dodging with invincibility fras, but hit like a truck and move lightning fast…… Anyhow, she doesn’t go for the strong ta characters, but rather the stylish ones. So while she’s good, her win rate isn’t great when playing against or Hina-chan.
Hina-chan, on the other hand, really dislikes slow characters and favors speed types. She’s all about aggressive offense, which makes her vulnerable to counter-type attacks, but when she grasps the pace of the match, she’s insanely strong.
Al-san sotis leaves openings because she goes for flashy combos, but she also has by far the most playti experience, so she’s very strong. She just seems really happy to be playing with friends, so she often plays with …… but honestly, she beats about 70% of the ti, so I’d say she’s a real contender for the championship.
Other than them, Tre-san has also played before…… but she’s ridiculously bad at the ga, so I think even soone who’s only played a little could easily beat her. If she manages to win even one match, that’d be impressive.
Cento-san and Cien-san, at least when we played together before, seed to still be struggling with the difference in senses, but if they manage to adjust to that, they could probably be pretty strong.
And then…… there’s Lilia-san, who seed like she’d be strong. She shouldn't have ever played this ga, but she picked up racing gas and got to a high level really fast, so I feel like once she gets the hang of it, she’ll beco strong in no ti.
……Still, overall, I think people with experience have a massive advantage. It’s not just about being good at the basic controls, there are techniques that you can’t really do unless you know about them. Like utilizing invincibility fras during air dodges, or moving behind soone who's in a guard state. So, at least for the first tournant…… it’s probably going to be Al-san huh?
While I was thinking about all that, I happened to notice Kuro touching the magic tool used for tournant registration.
Arehh? That’s weird. I’m pretty sure Kuro’s never played that ga before…… but for so reason, I just had this intuitive feeling…… that Kuro is gonna get the overall victory.
