With a sowhat indescribable feeling in my heart, I looked up at the sky, which was annoyingly clear and blue.
Well, no point in complaining. Deciding to head straight to the castle, Alice snapped her fingers, and the massive gate slowly opened…… revealing an overwhelming sea of people that completely filled my vision.
……Wait, are these all supposed to be illusions? The realism is insane———- if anything, my embarrassnt isn't reduced at all, it's just skyrocketing……
The parade car moved forward, and the crowd erupted into applause and cheers. The realism was so intense that, if I hadn't been told in advance, I would have assud they brought real people here.
No, wait a minute……? Given what Shiro-san and Makina-san are capable of, if they wanted to, they could probably create new life forms just to cheer for the parade. Of course, that kind of disposable life creation would be a huge ethical issue, so I doubt they actually did it. One thing was certain, it was flashy and lively. But just as Alice had ntioned earlier, it felt like they cramd in everything they wanted, resulting in what could only be described as pure chaos.
A rainbow appeared in the sky, a massive number of balloons floated up, and with every step forward, more and more effects were added…… If I were watching from a completely unrelated location, I'd probably think it looked fun and festive.
But being at the center of it, seeing the humongous "Happy Birthday" written in the sky alongside an overly stylized caricature of my face, what I felt first was the pain in my stomach.
At the very least, I could tell, with painful clarity, both figuratively and literally, that Shiro-san and the others were taking this very seriously…… And the scariest part? We hadn't even arrived at the venue yet…… The real event was still ahead of us.
