Monica understood that this 18-year-old boy who looked very innocent would not leave her today. He would not stop. Not until he knew everything.
Monica's feet were in a lot of pain. A sharp throbbing agony.
But she could not say anything. She couldn't even make a sound. Because her mouth was still stuffed with tissue.
Then Adam raised his hand. He showed five fingers. A silent question. Seeing this Monica shook her head in denial.
Her movent was frantic. Then Adam raised both his hands. He showed all 10 fingers.
Then Monica nodded her head up and down and said yes. She confird it. Seeing this signal Adam thought so there are 10 people here. An entire squad.
Then Adam ca a little closer to Monica. He leaned in so his face was right next to hers.
He said in a very dangerous voice "Is your leader also present here?" Monica stopped for a second.
She hesitated. Adam's eyes narrowed. Then Adam brought his hand down with the knife. But before he could stab the knife down again Monica moved her head back and forth.
She signaled yes. The leader was here.
Adam stopped his action. He understood what a big mistake he had made last ti. He had been completely blind to the real situation.
Adam took a deep breath. He sat back on his heels.
He thought if I had directly attacked the house next door what a big opportunity I would have lost. I would have only killed a single sniper. I would have alerted the rest of them.
Adam understood this now. The full scope of his near-fatal error.
Adam had to neutralize all of them now. Especially he had to catch that leader alive. Because he had the answers to many questions that Adam wanted.
And Adam would not kill the leader of The Ghost Group under any circumstances. Not until he answered his questions.
He needed to know the truth about his parents. He needed to know why the Royal Family wanted him dead.
So Adam looked at Monica. She was already closing her eyes and enduring the pain. Her face was pale. Then Adam took out more ropes from his inventory.
He tied Monica's hands and feet properly to the side of the bed. He wrapped the ropes around the bedposts.
This ti Adam did not show any leniency. He tied them very tightly.
Because of which Monica's hands and feet which were tied to the corner of the bed were in a lot of pain. The ropes bit into her skin.
Then Adam said "I don't intend to kill you right now. I will definitely co back." Hearing Adam's words Monica understood that Adam was thinking of torturing her even more.
She felt a new wave of fear. She could not see any way to use to alert the people downstairs. She was completely helpless.
Adam picked up a cloth lying on the bed. It was a dark-colored sheet. He tore it and tied it over Monica's entire eyes.
Because of which Monica could not see anything around her. So that Monica would beco even more helpless. And could not free herself completely.
Adam also covered Monica's ears properly and tied them. He used another strip of cloth for this. Because of which she could not even hear.
Adam knew that last ti Monica had drugged him in just a few seconds and put him in such a bad condition. This ti Adam did not take any risk. He would not be fooled again.
After tying Monica properly Adam stood at the door of the room. He slowly opened the door of the room. He peeked outside a little.
Adam saw that there was no one in the corridor. And a short distance from the corridor there was a staircase. It was going downwards to the first floor. Adam saw that there was light coming from the staircase.
From downstairs. Which ant that the people downstairs were in a single room with the light on. Or they were doing so work.
Which Adam did not know yet. Seeing this Adam closed the door.
Adam could not see any way to launch a direct strike on them. Not without risking the leader's life. Adam knew that even if he launched a direct strike he could easily win against those people.
His stats were high enough for that. But he had to ensure one thing in this strike. And that was to catch the leader of The Ghost Group. Alive.
Then Adam decided that he would wait for the people to co up. He would pick them off one by one. He looked at Monica.
He thought they must have been waiting for here since late at night. That is why Monica was tired and went to sleep. To give her body so rest. It was not like all the people would be on duty at the sa ti.
They would have shifts. Soone would co to wake Monica up.
That would be a very good chance for Adam. To deal with as many people as possible before they knew what was happening.
Then Adam rembered sothing. Sothing from Suman. The sniper he had killed. He stepped back from the door. He opened his inventory.
He found what he was looking for. In the last loop Adam had killed a sniper from The Ghost Group.
And he had taken his communication device from him. It was still lying inside Adam's inventory.
As soon as Adam took it out a voice ca from inside it. It was from Team One. They were the ones waiting for Adam in ambush near his house.
Their voice ca "Team One we still have no news of the target." Then the voice of the leader of The Ghost Group ca "Stay in your positions."
As soon as Monica heard these voices she knew what was happening. Although the sound was very faint because Adam was standing right next to her she could hear it.
And she knew what was in Adam's hand. But she was very confused. Because she had deliberately kept that communication device turned off in her table.
So that there would not be much noise. And only in an ergency there was an alarm in it. She did not understand how this hidden communication device got into this boy's hands.
And she understood that her entire team was in trouble. But she could not do anything.
As soon as Adam heard this a smile ca on his face. Because he could now know every activity of the enemy. Without the enemy knowing that soone was listening to them.
Adam sat behind the door of the room for a long ti.
He would not rush anything. He would wait for the team. Soone would co to change Monica's duty. And to wake Monica up.
Adam was waiting for this. He was keeping an eye on their every mont on that communication device.
If they got even a little hint then so signal to retreat would go on that communication device. From which Adam would know that they knew about Adam.
This was an advantage for Adam.
So Adam had a gun in one hand. He was sitting on the floor. His attention was on the corridor outside. The corridor after the room.
To see if anyone was walking there or not. And his other attention was on the communication device. However his main attention was not on the communication device.
But on the corridor outside. For which he was rewarded. Because he heard the sound of soone walking. Especially walking on the stairs.
Adam imdiately moved back. He stood up. He sat down right next to that table. He raised his gun very slowly.
Adam could only hope that whoever ca up was not the leader. And second that he would definitely co into this room. However there were only two rooms on this floor.
One was Monica's. And Adam did not know what kind of room the other was. But Adam hoped that they had co to wake Monica up.
Then Adam saw that the lock on the door was turning. The door opened with a click. And a man slowly ca inside.
His first attention went to the bed. Where he saw that Monica was tied up properly next to the bed. Seeing this tension and worry spread on his face.
He opened his mouth to shout. As soon as Adam confird that this was not the leader of The Ghost Group he imdiately pulled the trigger of his gun.
Because of the silencer there was no sound from it. And a bullet went straight and hit that man's head.
This was a common mber of The Ghost Group. Not the leader. And this common mber fell straight to the ground as soon as the bullet hit him.
Adam ca very fast. He dragged this man inside. He closed the door. Monica had also heard so noise.
And as soon as she heard the sound of soone falling she felt a mont of happiness. She thought that maybe her teammate had killed the boy.
But when no one ca to her and instead there was a slight noise from the side which Monica could not understand at all it did not take her long to understand that whoever had co to wake her up was dead.
She now knew that all her teammates were going to have the sa fate. And that too by their own target.
The Ghost Group the legendary assassin group was being hunted down by their own target. One by one. And their legendary group had no idea what was about to happen to them.
