Durrell Landon returned to the hotel room from the café, and Quiana Sutton was already awake. At this mont, she was staring blankly at the crown.

When she saw him push the door open and co in, her face automatically switched to a faint smile.

"Where did you go?"

"Just wandered around, staying in the hotel is boring."

She didn’t bother to discern whether he was telling the truth or not, rely asking, "When are we going back?"

Durrell Landon lifted his eyelids to glance at her, "You want to go back?"

She nodded.

Just after waking up, she was in a state of weakness, her mind nearly blank, temporarily losing the ability to think. Now, fully awake, considering Durrell Landon’s initial expression, she guessed a little.

Her alternate personality had awakened again.

It seized control of the body while she was in a coma.

Durrell Landon did not force her and agreed, "Okay."

...

When she returned to the Capital City, she found out that so much had happened.

She had no fondness for Vinny Linnel, so the release of this video didn’t evoke any sympathy from her.

The only thing she was curious about was who could have released this video.

Durrell Landon went back to the room to change his clothes. As soon as he returned to the Imperial View Manor, Elder White got the news and sternly ordered him to have a eting with himself.

After changing his clothes, he ca out and saw Quiana Sutton sitting quietly on the sofa, her eyebrows soft and gentle, a stark contrast to her alternate personality.

She was mostly just a bit aloof, but her alternate personality felt like it was soaked in the waters of the underworld, so cold and dead that it seed capable of freezing everyone who approached her.

His eyes darkened.

He walked over to embrace her, tightening his arms slightly,

"I need to go out for a bit, I’ll be back soon. Wait for at ho."

...

Not long after Durrell Landon left, Julian Haworth brought along Charles Foote and Oliver Gale. He was curious about what a crown worth a billion looked like.

Quiana Sutton generously allowed them to take a look.

Julian Haworth toyed with the crown and clicked his tongue, "Spent a billion just for this thing."

Quiana Sutton glanced at him lazily and smiled, "Are you envious?"

Julian Haworth deliberately turned his head away, puffing his cheeks angrily, "I am not envious."

He cried inwardly, who said he wasn’t envious, he was dying of envy.

Previously, he wanted to take Durrell’s limited edition car for a spin, but Durrell refused. Now, without batting an eyelid, he splurged a billion on this crown.

With more than a decade of brotherhood, the differential treatnt was a bit too evident.

Quiana Sutton couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

She realized she quite enjoyed "teasing" Julian Haworth, especially when he got so mad that his mouth puffed up, yet felt helpless against her. It made him even more "adorable."

Just like a haughty Persian cat, it would deliberately show attitude when angry but would still co back if you teased it a bit.

...

At the White Family’s villa.

The butler hesitated for a mont upon seeing Durrell Landon, but spoke up, "Young master, the old master is waiting for you in the study. He’s in a foul mood, so don’t provoke him any further."

Durrell Landon stayed silent without a word.

As soon as the study door opened, an ashtray was hurled directly at him.

He slightly turned aside, the ashtray grazing his forehead and shattering against the wall.

His expression remained indifferent throughout.

He didn’t even call him grandpa, only speaking coldly, "If you summoned just to lecture , spare it."

Elder White was infuriated by Durrell Landon, "Are you even going to stop calling grandpa now?"

"Grandpa?"

Durrell Landon looked back at Elder White with a hint of amusent. If the White Family had soone suitable to inherit the family business, he would probably never think of reaching out to him.

His grandfather, despite the heart-wrenching resentnt, had a sliver of affection for him, but his grandpa cared purely about benefits.

He spoke straightforwardly, "If you want to inherit everything from the White Family, then stop entertaining notions of marrying into the Linnel Family. Besides Quiana Sutton, I will never marry another woman in my life."

Elder White cald down a bit, slowly sitting down, wanting to know one thing: "Did you have anything to do with the video online?"

Durrell Landon’s face remained unchanged, "So what if it was ? What if it wasn’t?"

His arrogance carried a hint of madness.

Looking at Durrell Landon standing nearby, Elder White felt a chill down his spine.

He alone knew that the White Family was on a decline, which prompted his desperate attempt at a marital alliance to secure a long-held position.

However, Durrell Landon was too defiant. Despite his attempts to ta him, he had always ended up failing.

Now, he had even set such a massive trap for him.

Even if they couldn’t directly trace the video to Durrell Landon, he couldn’t think of anyone else capable of pulling it off.

"If it truly was you, do you know what kind of manhunt by the Linnel Family you’re facing?"

Durrell Landon scoffed, "As long as you agree, Grandpa, I can make the Linnel Family disappear."

The reason Elder White was so keen on marrying into the Linnel Family was that the interests of the White and Linnel Families were deeply intertwined.

He did want to remove the Linnel Family, but the cost was just too great.

Hearing Durrell Landon’s words unexpectedly startled him, but also sparked a sliver of joy, though he quickly cald down.

He didn’t believe Durrell Landon could pull it off.

"Do you even know what you’re saying?"

Durrell Landon raised an eyebrow, seemingly indifferent.

"Since Grandpa doesn’t believe , let’s drop it."

After saying that, he intended to leave.

"If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back."

Just before he left, Elder White called him back, "Wait."

He paused, then replied amusedly, "Has Grandpa changed his mind?"

"I only have one requirent for you, whatever you do must not harm the interests of the White Family, and..."

"You must never kill Nathan Firth."

"After all, he is your brother."

Sitting in the chair, Elder White felt drained, as if the strength had been sucked out of him.

Initially, when Nathan Firth was staying at the Sutton Estate, he was happy about it. To him, Nathan Firth was also of the White family’s blood, and if he could stay at Sutton Estate and inherit everything, it ant the Suttons’ assets would also belong to the White Family.

But as he aged, both grandsons distanced themselves from him, leaving him feeling a tad lancholic at tis.

He even wondered at tis if he had truly made the wrong decision back then...
