Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Zeke Landon is an absolute brother-complex case, clearly dissatisfied with her staying at Imperial View Manor, but he was annoyed that he couldn’t criticize her too much because of Durrell Landon.

She crossed her arms, looking at him with amusent.

"Mr. Landon, don’t look at like that. It was Durrell Landon who personally asked to stay at Imperial View Manor."

Zeke Landon didn’t speak, just looked at her quietly. He knew about their secret marriage back then, and until today, even with Durrell’s amnesia, he still made uncharacteristic moves because of her. He was really curious about what made this woman so special to Durrell.

He spoke in a detached manner, "I naturally won’t easily interfere with Durrell’s decisions, but if I find out he’s hurt because of you, don’t bla for being ruthless."

Quiana Sutton: "..."

It’s the second ti today she’s heard this statent.

Does she really look like a plague goddess? Do people who get close to her get hurt?

Suddenly, sothing crossed her mind, and her eyes grew distant for a mont but quickly regained focus.

Only indifference remained in her eyes.

"Since you’re so worried about him, you should convince him to divorce sooner."

Upon hearing this, there was a montary silence around, only the sound of the man’s breathing remained.

Did she think he hadn’t tried to persuade them? He had opposed their marriage back then, but knowing Durrell’s nature, it seed improbable that he would genuinely fall for a woman. If it was just a passing fancy, he didn’t want to upset his brother by refusing, so he agreed.

But when he ca to visit today, he found that things seed to have changed a bit.

His brother, despite the amnesia, inexplicably seed to care about her.

There was an inexplicable tumult in his eyes, and as she t his gaze, her lips curled, carrying a hint of mockery.

At this mont, a voice ca from not far away:

"Big brother..."

Zeke Landon snapped back to reality and saw Durrell Landon walking over from a distance. His tense deanor relaxed slightly.

"I just happened to see Miss Sutton and chatted a few words, Durrell, you don’t mind, do you?"

Durrell Landon didn’t answer, he only fixed his gaze on Quiana Sutton.

By now, the sun had set, and the spreading sunset glow cast upon her, seemingly staining his dark pupils with an extre hue of blood.

As he looked at her, she also glanced back at him. He clearly saw that amidst that blood-like glow, only the impression of him was left imprinted.

In that silent void, there was a fleeting mont where he suddenly felt his heart being enshrouded by that red hue, pulling and dragging him down with no escape.

Zeke Landon noticed Durrell’s complexion was a bit off and was about to speak, when suddenly he saw Durrell clutch his heart, stumbling back a few steps.

Zeke rushed forward to support Durrell, calling out to him but getting no response. His eyes were as cold as a deep pool as he made a call to Oliver Gale.

Oliver Gale was in the shower. Hearing the phone ring, he frowned slightly but grabbed a towel to dry off his body, picked up the phone, and seeing it was Zeke Landon, he answered without hesitation.

"Durrell fainted, co to Imperial View Manor imdiately."

Oliver Gale: "..."

They had been fine during the day, he just went ho to shower, how did he end up fainting?

Wasn’t his car accident wound healing well?

The speed at which he’s fainting could almost match the frail Lin Daiyu from the classic novel.

Though he grumbled internally, he was well aware that the blood clot in Durrell’s brain remained a potential hazard.

Quickly changing his clothes, he headed to Imperial View Manor.

Half an hour later, after examining him, he walked to the side of a gloomy Zeke Landon and spoke, "Durrell’s fine. The sudden fainting was likely caused by the movent of the blood clot in his brain."

Upon hearing that everything was alright, Zeke’s gloomy visage relaxed slightly, though not quite relieved.

"During this ti, take care of him closely."

Oliver Gale: "???"

Hearing "take care closely," the corners of his lips involuntarily twitched.

Durrell isn’t a three-year-old child; if he takes care of him closely, is he sure he won’t get kicked away by Durrell?

But in front of Zeke Landon, he didn’t dare to argue, only ekly replied, "Yes."

Before leaving, Zeke Landon paused to glance at Quiana Sutton, who was lying nearby with half-closed eyes. The words he wanted to say in the end stayed unspoken.

After Zeke left, Oliver walked to Quiana’s side, for the first ti without his usual nonchalant deanor.

"Quiana, can I ask you a question?"

She opened her eyes, "Ask."

"If Durrell never wakes up, what are you planning to do? Will you still insist on divorcing him?"

She was silent for a mont and then spoke, "He just fainted, it’s not a terminal illness, especially with you around, how could he not wake up?"

He could save Durrell Landon’s body, but he couldn’t save that heart wanting to self-detonate.

The movent of the blood clot might trigger previously hypnotized mories, and if everything indeed ca back, he couldn’t predict what kind of outco Durrell would have.

"You only know that Durrell is the second young master of the Landon Family. Do you know that Durrell and his brother are half-brothers?"

"I didn’t know."

She’d never inquired about Durrell Landon’s family background. The only thing she knew was that he was the second young master of the Landon Family. As for the rest, if she didn’t ask, he wouldn’t say.

Moreover, being half-siblings is common in wealthy families, isn’t it?

Oliver Gale saw Quiana Sutton’s lack of interest in his concern and let his words sink into silence.

The night at Imperial View Manor was eerily quiet.

Quiana Sutton lay on the sofa, tossing and turning; she hadn’t slept the previous night, and it was evident she was suffering from insomnia again tonight.

Just as she was about to find a guest room to rest, she suddenly felt the sofa next to her sink down.

She abruptly opened her eyes and saw Durrell Landon sitting beside her.

Durrell didn’t have the slightest guilt about waking her.

He’d just had a dream, dreaming of being trapped in a windowless basent — nothing inside, no people, not even light.

He couldn’t see or hear anything; all around was a vast darkness and silence, and it felt like he was at the very center of it.

Just when he was about to break down, he suddenly heard the sound of a calm, even breath.

Uncontrollably, he found himself drawn towards the sound.

In that mont, he experienced a peace he had never been aware of before.

Seeing her awake, staring at him unblinkingly, he pressed his lips together and after a long pause, finally spoke:

"You’re awake? You can ignore , go back to sleep."

Quiana Sutton: "..."

She was a light sleeper and easily woke; now with soone beside her watching, how could she possibly fall asleep?
