She picked up the brush and foundation, applied it on her shoulder in front of the mirror for a while, until it looked no different from normal skin. Only then did she leave the bathroom, stand in front of the wardrobe, and start trying on clothes.
Just after she had finished dressing, her cell phone rang. It was a call from Lin Chen, letting her know that he was already waiting in the underground parking lot.
After hanging up, Xia Wan’an imdiately went downstairs. As the elevator doors opened and before she could walk out, she already saw Lin Chen had stepped out of the car and opened the car door for her.
After Xia Wan’an climbed into the car, Lin Chen drove out of the Four Seasons Hotel’s parking lot. Then, they took a route that Xia Wan’an was incredibly familiar with. About twenty minutes later, they entered a neighbourhood she could find with her eyes closed.
The car stopped in front of a house, Lin Chen got out and rang the doorbell. Before long, the gates were opened, and the car drove straight in.
This ti, before the car had even co to a complete stop, the door was already opened by soone waiting in the yard.
In Xia Wan’an’s sight was a face she missed trendously. As soon as she opened her mouth and before the word "Mom" could escape her lips, tears were already falling down.
This ti, she did not deliberately disguise her voice. As soon as she spoke, her mother’s tears started falling as well: "An’an..."
The mont Xia Wan’an got out of the car, she was tightly embraced by her mother. Mother and daughter cried at the house entrance for a while until Lin Chen and Cheng Tongyi had to coax them inside.
Although Song Youman had already explained the details of the mariti accident to her parents on Xia Wan’an’s behalf, after seeing them, Xia Wan’an had to recount the event from start to finish. Feeling extrely guilty afterward, she apologized to her parents: "Dad, Mom, I’m sorry, I was too headstrong."
Were they angry? Of course, they were, angry that their precious daughter had suffered so much.
Blaming? How could they? No parent who truly loves their child could ever bla them.

The reason for Xia Wan’an’s visit today was not only to see her parents but also because Xia Chen’an was bringing Qin Shujian to et the parents at lunch.
For the Xia Family, this was indeed a day of double happiness. So, by 11 o’clock, Xia’s mother and Cheng Tongyi, along with the servants, started cooking lunch.
Just as the food was almost ready, the doorbell rang. Before anyone could answer it, the door was swung open and in walked Xia Chen’an and Qin Shujian, one after the other.
Xia Chen’an had already inford Qin Shujian about Xia Wan’an, so a reunion scene was inevitable upon seeing Xia Wan’an.
However, the touching reunion didn’t last long as it was soon ti for lunch.
Sitting at the dining table, Qin Shujian politely and respectfully called out to Cheng Tongyi and Xia’s mother, "Dad, Mom."
The greeting filled Cheng Tongyi and Xia’s mother with joy, each of them handed Qin Shujian a hefty red envelope.
