...

Three days later, in the United Kingdom.

Han Jingnian and Zhang Te landed at the local international airport at four o’clock in the afternoon, as per the local ti.

The two on a business trip, after checking into the hotel, plunged into their busy work schedule without even a mont to adjust to the ti difference.

A three-hour eting, a two-hour banquet, two hours of eting clients... when Han Jingnian and Zhang Te finally found a mont to catch their breath, it was already late local ti.

Zhang Te, exhausted, passed out as soon as he returned to the hotel. However, Han Jingnian, staying in the room next to him, stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, looking out at the brilliantly lit city. He swallowed several sleeping pills but still couldn’t fall asleep.

The next morning, the endless work schedule continued, not giving them a chance to breathe until the afternoon.

Sitting in the car, Zhang Te glanced at the weary-eyed Han Jingnian and asked, "Jingnian, do you want to get so rest at the hotel while we have so free ti?"

Han Jingnian fell silent for a few seconds but finally said, pointing to the largest shopping mall they had just passed, "Let’s head to that mall."

Zhang Te acknowleded with a ’yes’, then took a turn at the next intersection into the underground parking lot of the mall.

From the first floor to the fourth, Zhang Te, who was following Han Jingnian, spotted him sending texts to Xia Wan’an’s number several tis.

"An’an, do you prefer yellow or Tiffany blue?"

"An’an, do you think the erald pendant looks better, or this ruby one?"

"An’an, which shoes do you like, mid-heel or high-heel? The high heels are prettier, but mid-heels are more comfortable..."

"An’an..."

His ssages, like stones tossed into the sea, never got a reply. Yet, the number of shopping bags in Zhang Te’s hand kept increasing.

Upon reaching a clothing store on the fourth floor, Han Jingnian, trusting his own judgent, picked out two spring-sumr skirts for Xia Wan’an.

As the salesperson went to get the clothes for him, Han Jingnian sat on a sofa in the rest area, staring blankly out of the window.

Zhang Te, who had all along accompanied Han Jingnian, was on a work call. In the midst of Zhang Te’s lengthy English conversation, a female voice in English ca from the nearby changing room, "Excuse , do you have this in a size S?"

A simple question, but it made Han Jingnian, who was staring out of the window, abruptly turn his head towards the changing room.

"Yes, miss, please wait a mont." The blonde saleswoman replied and then stepped out of the changing room.

She went to the counter, checked the stock record of the clothes, and then returned to the changing room, "I’m sorry, miss, we do have this size for this item. Unfortunately, it was reserved by a gentleman from China just five minutes ago."

"What a sha..." the female voice who had originally inquired about the size spoke again.

At her words, Han Jingnian felt as if he had been struck by sothing. He shuddered violently and then abruptly got up, striding towards the won’s changing room.

"Jingnian!" Startled by his behaviour, Zhang Te instinctively called out to Han Jingnian.

But Han Jingnian didn’t respond to Zhang Te. He walked straight to the door of the changing room and reached out his hand.

"I’m sorry, sir, you can’t go in..." A female saleswoman hurried over and stopped Han Jingnian.
