"Little Mirror!" Xia Wan’an in good-natured warning called out to Little Mirror and then put her phone back in place, playing the video of Han Jingnian’s reergence, again from beginning to end.
"Little Mirror, did you see that? Daddy ca to save mommy..."
"Little Mirror..."
"ow!" Little Mirror let out a w before attempting to escape from Xia Wan’an’s embrace.
Before Little Mirror could manage to jump free, Xia Wan’an grabbed him by the neck and brought him back in front of the phone, "Little Mirror, did you see that line of text scrolling across the screen? That’s what daddy said to mommy..."
Little Mirror owed for a while, accepting the inevitable upon seeing that escape was impossible. He peered out with his lancholy ice blue eyes, sighed, and then laid resignedly on Xia Wan’an’s lap, as if accepting to endure their affectionate mont.
"Little Mirror, Little Mirror..."
Despite Xia Wan’an’s repetition of those words, Little Mirror’s eyes gradually closed.
When the video again ca to an end, Xia Wan’an replayed it, and as she chatted on, she buried her face in the fluffy fur on Little Mirror’s back, "Little Mirror... I really like your dad... Even though he has done so many things that have hurt , I always end up forgiving him, forgetting... this afternoon, the reporters were so intrusive, I really hated your dad for a mont, but as soon as he appeared, my hatred vanished... Little Mirror, do you think I’m pathetic?"
As if understanding Xia Wan’an’s lancholy, Little Mirror opened his eyes, rolled them in a most adorable way, then shifted his body, turning his head to lick Xia Wan’an’s face.
The lick tickled Xia Wan’an making her laugh, "Little Mirror, mommy plans to confess her feelings to daddy in a few days. You’ll support mommy, right?"
Little Mirror licked Xia Wan’an’s face again, causing her to break into giggles.
"Thank you for comforting mommy, Little Mirror. To show my gratitude, will you watch the video with mommy one more ti?" As she said this, Xia Wan’an replayed the video.
Little Mirror let out a "ow" in protest, his adorable face instantly transford into a look of deep suffering.
"Little Mirror..." Xia Wan’an once again repeated the sa words to Little Mirror as if trying to impress upon him.
However, this ti, midway through her monologue, the sound of keypad beeping signaled soone at the entrance.
"Uh oh, daddy’s ho!" Xia Wan’an subconsciously dropped Little Mirror, picked up her phone, and stopped the video.
By the ti she had done all these, the door was swung open and Han Jingnian walked in.
Xia Wan’an patted her chest and muttered under her breath, "That was a close call. I’m glad he didn’t hear secretly watching his video..." But just as she was about to say "You’re ho?" to Jingnian, there ca a sudden thud from the entrance.
The noise startled Little Mirror, causing his fur to stand on edge. He looked around, and in the blink of an eye, dashed over to the entrance and began owing hysterically.
Sensing sothing wrong from Little Mirror’s frantic owing, Xia Wan’an rushed over, where she found Han Jingnian kneeling on the ground, single-legged.
