Han Jingnian’s face turned even colder, and the aura he released was more frightening.
The servants felt that the usually luxurious and extravagant mansion now resembled more of a living hell.
Ironically though, Mr. Han seldom preferred company. He was always cold to everyone and never truly let anyone in... The only one in the Han Family, who could trigger slightest of his emotions, was probably just his grandmother.
But what happened to Mr. Han today... Why has he suddenly beco so aggressive?
While the servants were puzzled and lost in thoughts, Han Jingnian spoke up again: "Keep calling!"
The servant muttered, "Young Master Zhijin said, after he finishes singing, he wants to have a foot massage, then have late-night snacks, and then he will see whether he wants to go ho..."
"Keep calling!"
"Young Master Zhijin, he didn’t answer the phone..."
"Keep calling, until he answers!"
"Young Master Zhijin, he..."
Han Jingnian looked at the stumbling servant and asked impatiently: "What is it?"
"Young Master Zhijin, he...he...he has blocked the ho phone..." After those words left her mouth, she felt a chill wind, which imdiately sent her running to the nearby restroom, locking the door with a bang.
All the servants hid, shivering.
However, just when everyone thought Han Jingnian would tear the entire house apart, they faintly heard Han Jingnian’s voice.
His tone was quite calm.
One brave maid cracked open the door to peek through.
She saw Han Jingnian, who was previously sitting at the dining table, now standing by the living room’s floor-to-ceiling window, holding his phone and talking: "What ti is it? Why aren’t you ho yet?"
"Didn’t remind you to co ho before? Why am I reminding you today? No particular reason, I just suddenly felt like it... Han Zhijin, I have no ti to argue with you, if you don’t want your mother to find out that you’ve skipped three day shifts this week, you’d better defy ...Also, when you co ho, go to the study and reflect for 12 hours!"
Whatever Han Zhijin said on the other end of the phone, Han Jingnian didn’t respond, instead, he took the phone away from his ear as if satisfied, and put it in his pocket.
The mansion beca quiet once again.
Han Jingnian stood in place without moving, looking at a large bunch of blooming roses in the garden outside the window, his expression becoming sowhat bewildered.
In Golden Splendor, a girl asked her if she knew him, she said she didn’t; facing the blind date introduced by a lady living on the sa floor, she didn’t refuse; in the company, when soone knocked on the door, her first reaction was to hide, not wanting to be discovered; she had dinner with Han Zhijin, when Han Zhijin asked if he should be brought along, she didn’t hesitate and rejected Han Zhijin’s proposal...
What was wrong with him? Why would he suddenly care about these things which could be considered trivial to him?
Before long, the dazzling headlights lit up at the entrance.
When the car drove into the courtyard and stopped, Han Jingnian saw Han Zhijin dispiritedly get out from the driver’s seat, only then did he himself turn around, take the elevator to the villa’s underground parking lot, get into his car and leave.
Back to his place, as he opened the door, darkness filled his sight.
Han Jingnian involuntarily took a half step back, then using the hallway light, he turned on the room light.
As he bent down to change his shoes, he suddenly rembered, after marrying her, he seldom ca ho, but every ti he did, the spotlight at the entrance would always be on... as if it was purposely left on for him...
