"Xie Lin, do you still have that experintal dication? Could I get another bottle of it? I’m really curious..."
"Tell , I’ve been practicing martial arts until now and I still can’t beat Boss Han. If I take that dicine, can I contend with three Boss Hans?"
"Xie Lin..."
Zhang Te’s mouth was once again taped shut by Xie Lin.
...
Upon arriving in Beijing, Zhang Te was imdiately taken to the hospital by Xie Lin.
After seeing Han Jingnian and Xia Wan’an off at the airport yesterday, Zhang Te also boarded a plane, so the car was left at the airport. After Zhang Te and Xie Lin left in the pre-arranged ambulance, Han Jingnian and Xia Wan’an went directly to the airport parking lot to get the car to return ho.
Even though Xia Wan’an was sitting in the passenger seat, she had been looking out the window all the ti.
Han Jingnian, who was driving, kept turning his head to look at Xia Wan’an from ti to ti. The more he watched, the more nervous he felt.
She remained silent, but her complexion looked fine... who could tell him whether she was still angry or not?
When they reached their apartnt building, Han Jingnian stopped the car, imdiately got out, and walked around the front of the car to her side to open the door for her.
After Xia Wan’an had gotten out, he quickly grabbed her suitcase from the trunk and followed her into the elevator.
During the elevator ride, Han Jingnian glanced at Xia Wan’an twice, then looked at the small bag she was carrying and offered, "Let carry that for you?"
Xia Wan’an didn’t respond.
Han Jingnian extended his hand to take the bag, but seeing that she didn’t hand it over, he racked his brain to switch topics: "Are you hungry?"
His words were t with silence in the elevator.
Han Jingnian cleared his throat and tried again: "It’s almost noon. Is there sothing you feel like eating?"
This ti, the only response was the elevator’s "ding" sound.
When the elevator doors opened, Xia Wan’an imdiately walked out. Han Jingnian quickly grabbed the suitcase and caught up with her, inputted the door lock code, and opened the door for her.
Once Xia Wan’an had entered the apartnt, he promptly brought the suitcase in, then went to the shoe cabinet to take out her slippers and place them in front of her.
Xia Wan’an stared at the slippers by her feet but did not move.
Han Jingnian knelt down and untied her shoelaces.
This action startled Xia Wan’an, causing her to take a step back. She then quickly took off her shoes, put on the slippers, and entered the apartnt.
Han Jingnian changed his shoes, brought the suitcase into the master bedroom, and started hanging up their clothes one by one in the dressing room. He then put Xia Wan’an’s costics back on her vanity as per their original arrangent.
With everything back in its place, he didn’t forget to store the suitcase into the storage room. During this, he asked Xia Wan’an again, "What do you want to eat?"
Xia Wan’an continued pretending as if she hadn’t seen or heard anything and played with a small mirror on the sofa.
Han Jingnian stared at Xia Wan’an – who was completely ignoring him. With a furrowed brow, he looked troubled for a while before heading to the kitchen.
Half an hour later, he ca over to Xia Wan’an with a bowl of noodles, "I added two eggs for you."
He paused, then added, "We only had two eggs left at ho."
