Once the ward was quiet, Xie Lin passed the folder he was holding to Han Jingnian.
As Jingnian unfolded the envelope and pulled out a stack of white paper, his eyes imdiately caught the three words "Xia Wan’an".
This was the dical examination report which he had arranged for Xie Lin to conduct on her a while ago.
At the end of the report, Xie Lin had written the results of the dical examination, but Jingnian began reading from the first page nonetheless.
He read very carefully, more focused than he had been on any other docunt before.
Halfway through reading it, his expression changed drastically and the pressure within the ward seed to drop suddenly.
The room was very quiet, save for the occasional sound of Jingnian flipping the pages.
After quite so ti, Jingnian moved his gaze from the report to Xie Lin.
Catching his staring eyes, Xie Lin began to detail the situation: "Mrs. Xia is healthy in all aspect. The only problem is that traces of a drug were found in her system. The main effect of this drug is contraception, specifically, ergency contraception."
As Xie Lin spoke, Jingnian’s grip on the docunt tightened.
Zhang Te, standing on the side, felt his heart pounding incessantly.
This spelt disaster. Could it be that Mrs. Xia had been secretly taking contraception pills without Jingnian’s knowledge?

Seeing Jingnian like this, Zhang Te realised he had guessed the true aning behind Xie Lin’s words a step ahead.
"So...these pills were not taken by Mrs. Xia herself, but were secretly fed to her by soone else?"
It turned out that the actual situation was far more severe and cruel than Mrs. Xia taking ergency contraception pills herself.
