Han Jingnian turned his head and glanced at the girl in the mirror.
She was completely different from the girl he knew, lively and sprightly, yet with a hint of mischief.
He looked at her for a while before finally entering the changing room.
Xia Wan’an, satisfied after her bout of self-admiration, turned off the tap and dried her hands. Then she darted towards the bed, jumped on it, and closed her eyes contentedly.
The next second, the door to the changing room opened, and Xia Wan’an turned her head in surprise.
Han Jingnian ca out, having changed into his pajamas.
When had he returned to the bedroom? Had he heard all those narcissistic words she’d just said?
As Xia Wan’an inwardly grappled with her thoughts, Han Jingnian calmly entered the bathroom.
Given his lack of reaction, it seed he hadn’t heard what she’d just said...
Xia Wan’an settled back down and happily buried her face in her pillow, rubbing it back and forth for a bit, before finally falling asleep.
...
Apparently, her colleagues had noticed Gu Yuzhi’s fiancée’s frosty attitude towards Xia Wan’an, so the next day at work she felt a distinct coldness from the others.
Xia Wan’an didn’t mind, however. She arrived at her desk, greeted Xiaochen as usual, then turned on her computer to start working.
At one o’clock, Xia Wan’an received a ssage from Gu Yuzhi: "Wan’an, Gao Lin is just like that. You shouldn’t take her seriously."
At the ti, Xia Wan’an was busy and accidentally copied and pasted a portion of her work into the chat with Gu Yuzhi, and sent it.
However, she quickly noticed her mistake, and imdiately recalled the ssage, replying, "I understand, Director Gu," before returning to her work.
It wasn’t until three in the afternoon that Xia Wan’an had a mont to relax.
Craving bubble tea, she ordered two cups--one for herself and one for Xiaochen.
When the bubble tea arrived, Xia Wan’an was on a phone call, so Xiaochen volunteered to go downstairs to get it.
When she returned, Xiaochen passed the bubble tea to Xia Wan’an and said, "Wan’an, do you know who I ran into on my way downstairs? There was a courier calling soone’s na. Can you guess who it was?"
"Who was it?" Xia Wan’an asked, clutching her bubble tea and taking a big gulp.
"Song Youman."
Upon hearing these three words, Xia Wan’an’s forehead creased.
Xiaochen, oblivious to Xia Wan’an’s reaction, continued to mumble, "Don’t you have a friend nad Song Youman? It’s such a coincidence that we have soone in our company with the sa na... "
After hearing the rest of Xiaochen’s words, Xia Wan’an’s expression softened. She gave a noncommittal "hmm," remarked what a coincidence it was, and then turned contemplatively to her computer screen.
Could it really be a coincidence that soone at the company shared Youman’s na?
Sipping her bubble tea, Xia Wan’an thought about it. The more she thought, the more she suspected sothing was wrong. She ssaged Han Zhijin: "Did you buy anything under Youman’s na today?"
[Young Master, I am the Handsost]: "No."
A second later, Han Zhijin changed his nickna and replied.
[The most handso kid in the whole Capital]: "What’s up, little auntie?"
[The most beautiful kid in the whole Capital]: "Nothing, I was just asking. Hey, do we have soone at the company nad Song Youman?"
[The most handso kid in the whole Capital]: "No, why do you ask?"
[The most beautiful kid in the whole Capital]: "Just curious. How about we go out for dinner tonight?"
