Xia Wan’an and Han Zhijin didn’t notice that soone in the parking lot was watching their every move.
Just five minutes earlier, Han Jingnian had ended a eting where he displayed Xia Wan’an’s designs. He took the private elevator down to the underground parking lot and imdiately spotted a familiar silhouette.
Zhang Te, his assistant, also stopped in his tracks when he noticed Jingnian halting, asking, "Mr. Han, what’s the matter?"
Han Jingnian didn’t say a word.
Zhang Te looked at Jingnian suspiciously a few tis and noticed his complexion had changed. Following Jingnian’s gaze, he saw Han Zhijin and the Mada talking and laughing as they walked towards a parked car not too far away. He subconsciously blurted out, "Uh, isn’t that Young Master Zhijin and the Mada?"
As Zhang Te finished his sentence, he didn’t know what Zhijin had said, but the Mada playfully hit him on the head. Zhijin showed no annoyance, rubbing his head before continuing to laugh and chat with the Mada, who looked rather pleased.
Right at that mont, a car drove by. As the Mada was walking on the outside, Zhijin quickly pulled her towards him and switched places with her.
Witnessing all this, Zhang Te instinctively glanced over at Jingnian, whose face was cold enough to form droplets.
Frightened, Zhang Te moved a large step aside, creating distance from Jingnian. He then silently broke out into a cold sweat for Young Master Zhijin: Oh dear, Young Master, you’re walking into a disaster!
The two figures in the distance seed oblivious to the deathly stare from behind, continuing their cheerful conversation as they walked on. When they approached the car, Zhijin courteously opened the car door for the Mada.
"Uh..." Seeing this scene, Zhang Te blurted out, "Young Master Zhijin, are you taking the Mada ho?"
After saying this, Zhang Te felt a bone-chilling cold sweep over him.
Darn it, he had dug a hole for Young Master Zhijin!
Quickly trying to redy his faux pas, he rushed to explain, "The Mada and Young Master Zhijin were classmates, and they’ve been close friends. They grew up together, just like the Mada and Miss Song. Furthermore, the Mada and Young Master Zhijin were kindergarten, elentary, middle, and high school classmates. Had Zhijin not gone abroad for university, he would’ve surely been classmates with the Mada. I once saw the Mada at the old house, and she was brought there by Young Master Zhijin..."
The more Zhang Te talked, the more he felt sothing was wrong.
Terrified, his voice grew softer, and he realized too late that he was only making things worse.
Just as he was scrambling to make ands, the silent Han Jingnian next to him briskly marched towards his car.
Zhang Te quickly followed.
Upon reaching the car, just as Zhang Te was about to open the car door for Jingnian, Jingnian’s stern face turned towards him and he stretched out his hand, saying nothing more than, "The keys."
Zhang Te, caught off guard, blurted out a surprised, "Ah," before his car keys were snatched away by Jingnian in the next instant.
By the ti Zhang Te managed to react, Jingnian had already settled into the driver’s seat and revved up the engine.
With a roar, the car shot out of sight.
Mr. Han had left on his own. Did that an he could go ho now?
While feeling guilty about Zhijin, Zhang Te couldn’t help but rejoice for a while. Just as he prepared to call a cab to go ho, he glanced out into the distance and saw Jingnian’s car rear-ending Zhijin’s.
