After hanging up the ergency call, Zhang Te hurriedly ran over: "Mr. Han, I’ve called the police," he said.

Han Jingnian glanced at Zhang Te without a word, grabbed Xia Wan’an, took on a stern face, and headed straight for the car parked by the roadside.

Zhang Te knew from Han Jingnian’s expression that he was being asked to stay and handle the situation, so he wisely stayed put.

As Han Jingnian gripped her arm, walking a little distance, Xia Wan’an’s cellphone suddenly rang.

Xia Wan’an was stunned for a mont in the midst of the ringtone before finally coming to her senses. Hastily, she answered the phone. Before she could say anything, a polite voice ca from the other end, "Hello, the private car service you requested has arrived at the destination..."

"The person doesn’t need your service now, just charge the fee," was the curt interruption from Han Jingnian as he snatched Xia Wan’an’s phone, said coolly and hung up.

Han Jingnian had perford this series of actions with such fluidity. He never let go of Xia Wan’an’s hand and continued walking her away without missing a beat.

It wasn’t until they reached the car that Xia Wan’an realized she had walked the entire way hand in hand with Han Jingnian after he gestured for her to get into the car.

This was the first ti he held her hand in the two years they had been married...

After Xia Wan’an got into the car, she couldn’t take her eyes off the hand that Han Jingnian had just held, so much that she failed to notice his grim face and the force he exerted in gripping the steering wheel.

It was only when the car jerked to a stop, causing her body to lunge forward, then looking up to see a familiar parking lot, did she realize they were ho.

But, it seed like they had only driven for a few minutes...

As Xia Wan’an pondered this, she glanced at the ti on her phone and realized that Han Jingnian had sped all the way ho.

She quickly turned to look at the man beside her, who was just parking the car in reverse, and noticed his alarming mood; he looked as though he would freeze the entire world with his chill.

After getting out of the car, Han Jingnian, without uttering a word, still held Xia Wan’an’s hand and stepped into the elevator.

Even inside the elevator, he showed no signs of letting go of her hand.

Once they were ho, without even bothering to change his shoes after turning on the lights, he dragged her directly into the bathroom.

He turned on the tap, tested the temperature, then pushed Xia Wan’an towards it, before starting to spray the shower onto her.

He had turned on the water at full blast which discomforted Xia Wan’an; she instinctively tried to dodge it, but he grabbed her wrist, drew her in close, secured his hand tightly around her waist, and continued to rinse her with the showerhead.

In no ti, their clothes were drenched, and after rinsing her for a while, he found her clothes intrusive, so he quickly helped her out of them, then started to apply shower gel on her.

He squeezed several rounds of the gel, creating a pile of bubbles on the floor, showing no signs of stopping.

It wasn’t until she was covered in the fragrance of the shower gel and her skin started to wrinkle from the prolonged contact with water, that he stopped. Then he wrapped a bath towel around her and, ignoring her resistance, began to dry her hair and body.

As with squeezing the shower gel, he repeatedly wiped her body several tis with the towel, as if there were bacteria on her skin that he despised.
