|Catharina von Xenotra - Heiress of Baron Xenotra|
"How is it? Before you show us, tell what you see and the situation in the frontline."
I look at one of the spies under Jonathan’s wing kneeling before us. He is the one who can broadcast what he saw in the past. I get that talent from him.
"Chaos and Hope, my lady."
"Chaos and Hope? Are you sure? Those two words are in the opposite group, you know?"
"Yes. It was chaos because of how many monsters appeared from the Void Crack."
"Wait! Void Crack?! How big?"
"It was ten ters tall and around five ters long.
"Type-3 Void Crack, huh?"
In the ga, Void Crack has five types. The first one is smaller and only summons a few monster hundred monsters, with five hundred as a maximum cap. It is a ter tall. Type two triple the previous one. It can summon a maximum of fifteen hundred monsters. It was three ters long and three ters wide.
The third type above is the most troubleso one. They did not have a maximized number, but they kept spawning monsters for a certain ti, depending on the size of the void crack. The taller it gets, the longer the spawning ti it will be; the wider it gets, the more powerful the monster it will spawn.
Ten ters tall... That ans the fight will last for four hours. Five ters wide... That ans the monster is around mid-tier to high-tier. What makes it worse, there is a flying monster, the bane of all foot soldiers.
Flying monsters are the most annoying monster type in the ga because foot soldiers will have difficulty fighting them. There will be a 60% chance of them missing their attack, while the flying monster has a 100% chance of critical damage to the foot soldier.
You need quite a bit of long-range and mage units in your army to fight them.
"How are they fighting the flying monster?"
"Heir Gwyndolin. He summons massive creatures that can always hold the flying monster."
"What about the second Void Crack? Does it have the sa size? If it does, how can he hold all the flying monsters?"
"Yes, the second Void Crack has the sa size as the first one. Heir Gwyndolin manages to hold the second one with his magic and another summoned creature. This ti it was a massive blue snake that could fly into the air."
"Do you know what it was called?"
"It was called Ophiuchus."
The thirteenth zodiac? I’m not a zodiac master, but I had a friend who was really into that type of thing in my past life. She kept saying sothing about the reason why she stayed with in college because I’m a Virgo, and the two of us are compatible. She is a great friend, but I was a little bit hurt when she said that we are friends because of my zodiac sign rather than my personality or sothing.
Anyway, because of her, I learned one or two about the zodiac, and one of them is the so-called forbidden or cursed sign, Ophiuchus.
"I see. Continue."
"Yes. Chaos because of how the monster attacks us from all directions without any formation or movent that we can predict. We must keep improving and ensure the monster does not hit us in our weak spot."
"What about hope?"
"Hope is because we know that we will survive this war with Gwyndolin on our side."
"Is he that powerful? I can see him fight because of the talent I copy, but it was only an overall battle, and I cannot see the detail."
The man kneeling on the ground looks up and sees right in the eyes.
"If not for him, we would be dead at worst or defeated at best. If not for him, the rest of the army would return with large casualties at the week’s end. That flying monster alone can wreak havoc and kill many of our soldiers on the ground."
"How can you be sure about that?"
"Because he can do it all, my lady. He can heal and bless us with sothing he calls ’Buff’ where he makes our arrows pierce almost anything, our sword cuts through the toughest hide, and makes our mace destroy even the biggest boulder."
"Buff? Did you say buff?"
"Yes. I’m standing near him when he talks to himself."
"Tell what else he said."
The man looks at in confusion but decides to obey my order.
"He said sothing about Cooldown, Debuff, and AOE. I don’t know what kind of term it was, but he kept muttering that kind of word."
No way! NO WAY! Please, god! Please let my suspicion co true. Please make Gwyndolin another reincarnated person as well! In the Isekai Novel, many readers hate it when another reincarnated person is in their story. That is understandable if you have not reincarnated yourself!
I want soone who I can talk to about this world and my previous one. I will make sure that they are not soone who wants to kill first, but when I know that they do not want to kill , I’m glad to talk to them and maybe share so past life experiences.
I know that Gwyndolin is a kind young man and the opposite person that he was in the ga. Now I understand why.
Well, not all of them. If what in the ga still happens in this world, I know that the South will rebel, and the ga tiline will continue. I thought it was because of that the tiline changed greatly, but it looks like two butterflies are flapping their wings to cause this much change.
I shake my head and release a sigh.
It is a sha I cannot talk to him now, but I will talk after the war.
"I see. Continue."
"Of course, my lady. Other than that ’Buff’ and healing, he also can create a barrier that blocks one attack to notify us in case an enemy manages to get near us."
"I see. The entire party can rest easy with a powerful healer and buffer."
"That! Heir Gwyndolin also says sothing like that. However, he also says sothing about a cleanser healer or sothing like that."
Cleaner Healer? Ah, the one that removes the debuff from their ally and themselves. So what is he? A [Druid] is a healer and debuffer in the ga. That leaves [Astrologian] as a damage dealer and cleanser, huh? Interesting.
"With Heir Gwyndolin around, we have hope in our chest, knowing we will survive. A few hundred people died in the last battle because Heir Gwyndolin needed to defend the other side of the fortress. He tries his hardest but even he is not omnipotent who can heal anyone in the world."
"I see."
So even he has his limitations, huh?
"Thank you for your report, Gerrald. Can you show us what you see?"
"Of course, my lady."
He takes a deep breath and opens his palm. A second later, we can see an intense fight between humans and monsters. I can see how Gwydolin summons four creatures to hold the flying monster and then create a massive swamp that traps the monster trying to get close to the fortress.
I can see how Gerrald and the rest of the archers under Jonathan 2 command run to the northern wall of the fortress. Once again, I can see him summon another creature, this ti a massive blue and white snake that flies to the sky, freezing any monster in its path.
Like in the southern part of the fortress, Gwyndolin creates another swamp by touching the ground, and unlike the previous one, he summons a larger amount of monsters that stay in the swamp.
The fight lasts for hours before Lord Cunningham and Lord Verqur release a victory roar.
I release a sigh after watching an hours-long event that happened not too long ago.
"Gerrald, when will they continue their journey?"
"It has been two days since I rode my horse here. They should be preparing to continue their march tomorrow morning."
"They decided to have a three-day break, huh?"
I nod and look at Veronica, who is eating so cookies, and says.
"Veronica. What about the spy you sent to the city in the Gokuya Kingdom? What is it? The na of the city."
Veronica looks at and says.
"Barukan City, and they have not sent anything. They should already be in the city but have yet to send anything."
She wipes her mouth and looks at seriously.
"There must be sothing wrong in that city. The people I send there are not ordinary ones. They are a forr high-ranking adventurer from the Northern continent."
Adventurer was another na for rcenary, but they did not involve themselves in war among races but rather fought a monster.
"There must be sothing going on in that city. Either they are arrested, or sothing even worse happens in that city."
I look at her for a few seconds and say.
"Let’s wait for a few more days. If they are not sending any ssages, we should send more without them entering the city. Send a tracker or image among them to see if they are alive or not."
"Sure. Easy enough."
"Thank you, Veronica."
I smile at her while thinking about what she said. My instinct tells there is sothing wrong with that city. I just hope that it was not sothing bad.
