I look at Lord Verqur, who looks at with a serious expression. After he is done checking the fortress, he calls to this room, and I know the reason why.
"Tell what you see."
I nod and take a deep breath. A hologram appeared on the table a second later, showing my mory. I can see them see what I saw earlier, and the longer they see it, the more their face gets paler.
The mory lasts for two hours, and by the end of it, I can see Lord Verqur’s expression change from surprise to fear.
I know that feeling. The feeling of seeing the enemy you thought was not too powerful, but in reality, they are an untouchable being that you should not fight, or how an RPG gives you a boss that you cannot beat.
He looks down and releases a sigh.
"This is a disaster. How can they have this much power? Potions, healing magic, and now that summoned creatures?!"
I sit in my seat with a smug expression on my face after they are done watching the mory. So, do you still want to attack them if they are too powerful? They were already independent because the previous king did not want anything with the South, and they improved their territory to the point that they could survive without the North.
Healing? They have the most powerful healer with them, and what makes matters worse, they have many other healers that did not have a tie to a guild or the church.
Intimidate them with your military? Well, go on and let your people die in battle against a big fuck off monster the size of a three-floor building. Combine it with their flying army and mage; you will fight against an army that will never die and can get into your backline when you least expect it.
"Shit. I need to tell the king about this information. Second"
I blink a little when I see soone appear behind Lord Verqur. They are wearing an all-black outfit, an outfit that a ninja usually wears. The one that covers their entire body and face.
"My lord"
"Do you see all of them?"
"Yes, my lord."
"Tell the king about it all and tell him to make sure the Great Nobles know what they will get if they decide to attack the South. We did not have anything to beat them. Strength, Economy, or even politics. They have it all. We cannot beat them with an army. They have a steady and strong trade route with other kingdoms instead of us and manage to be independent in that sector. Combining it with the potion business, they will be the richest territory in a couple of years or five at the latest. It can be faster if they decide to trade with other continents. As for politics, the South can be considered its own kingdom if not for its honorable nature. Tell this to the king."

After saying that, the ninja disappears into the shadows to who knows where. I can see Lord Verqur lean on his chair and release a tired sigh. He looks at and says.
"Heiress Catharina. Let ask you sothing. Are you aware of this?"
I look at him and say.
"Aware? No. Suspicious? Yes. Why do you think I started trading with them? Not only are they honorable and not trying to scam us, but they are also growing. If their past food problems are fixed, I know they will grow very fast."
I take a deep breath and continue.
"Do you know why the South still survives to this day even with their food problem?"
"Their mine. The South is rich in iron, copper, and coal. Their mountain is full of those things."
"And what did you see when we arrived in this place?"
"What do you want to say? We see farmland and... mountains. Do you think they...?"
"Yes. Those mountains should be full of goods like what you said earlier. I have a suspicion that they did not mine them because there is nothing in it, but rather it was because they didn’t have ti and people to check them. With the constant attack from the monster and Gokuya Kingdom and their food problem, they did not have to consider expanding their already built mine. However, if soone fixed their food problem... you will have a territory full of resources and the people who are willing to get them."
Lord Verqur looks at for a few seconds and looks to the ground, deep in this thought. After half a minute, he looks back at and says.
"You give a lot to think of. It looks like I still think that they are barbarians who cannot expand beyond what they have. The South will grow, and in the future, they will have the thought of rebellion."
"What?"
"Let explain. I guess you cannot call it rebellion but rather a war for independence. It will not happen in this generation, but I know it will happen in the future. The North is too stupid to think of them as anything but a at shield; sooner than later, the South will think that they would rather rule themselves than be ruled by soone incompetent or too prideful. We need to do sothing about it. We need to make a relationship with the South."
Lord Verqur looks at and says.
"Heiress Catharina, you are the most suitable for this job. Don’t worry. This job will not worsen your relationship with the Cunningham Family."
I look at him for a few seconds and nod.
"Very well. What is it?"
"Help choose which princess you think is suitable for Gwyndolin Alexander Cunningham."
I look at him in shock and cannot help but say.
"What?"

I take a sip of the wine while patting Sonia on my lap. We are currently on the wall, relaxing before marching to the enemy territory.
At first, I didn’t want to use one of the most expensive and rarest items I have inside my guild vault, but I stumbled into sothing.
Before we march, I stumble into Lord Verqur and Catharina, having a conversation. I learned Catharina has the power to copy talent, but by the look of it, she did not copy mine. She only did that to anyone who agreed with her and her enemy. I’m glad she did not do that.
That makes respect her even more. It looks like she truly sees and my family as an ally rather than only trading partners. However, Lord Verqur is not the sa. He and the king use their power to make her record the battle and learn how to defeat us.
He already thinks that we are already trying to rebel even when we are not trying to do that. We keep our loyalty to them, and when the sign of one bad egg appears, they already think that the rest of us are the sa as the bad one. They did not think that we just wanted to live our life.
Because of this talk, I decided to change my decision. I only want to fill the hole and slowly build a new fortress because I know that the Gokuya Kingdom will not attack us for another decade because of their loss against us.
With Catharina giving them our full power when we fight against the Gokuya Kingdom, I will show them my power if they want to attack us. An instant fortress will be a nightmare for any military general, and Lord Verqur knows it.
"My lord"
I snap from my thoughts and see Jonathan walk toward . I smile at him and say.
"Oh, Jonathan! What is it?"
"As you predicted, my lord. Lord Verqur imdiately called over Lady Catharina to a private room."
"Does the other Jonathan also co?"
"Yes. Lord Verqur’s son also ca with her alongside the other lady."
Right. Veronica Yorn. I don’t know who she is, but I know what kind of family is the Yorn family. They are a family that is famous as a rchant and as an adventurer. Her Great Grandfather is a famous explorer that found an ancient ruin that contains gold that can buy a small kingdom.
From this new richest, they decide to expand their trade route to the other continents.
I think Catharina befriended her in one of their trade agreents.
"I see. That ans they are talking about that, huh?"
I mutter to myself.
"Thank you for that, Jonathan."
"It is my pleasure, my lord."
I want to follow them, but I feel a presence hidden within the shadow when I’m about to follow them. It looks like Lord Verqur brings one of the ninjas. However, the one they bring is more powerful because I did not notice them imdiately.
"What should we do next, my lord?"
I think for a few seconds and nod. I wake Sonia gently and smile a little when I hear her grumbling. After she wakes up, I get up and say.
"Jonathan, do you want to learn the summoning spell?"
I cannot get into two places at once. So I would rather have soone I can ask to go sowhere and defend that place. Other than Sonia and , Jonathan has the highest magical talent, and I think he can be a powerful mage in the future with the right training.
"Yes! I like to learn from you!"
