I release a sigh when I see them retreating away from the fortress. When I see my father and his group returning with the unknown group of people, I quickly fly toward them, land near them, and cast an AOE healing spell.
A few seconds later, all the one who is injured is healed.
The one who is leading the unknown group suddenly laughs after I heal him.
"Bwahahahaha! What great power!"
The man in front of is tall, more than two ters tall, and he is built like a tank. His body is full of muscle. His eyes are sharp, and his hair is as wild as a lion’s mane. He looks at with a grin on his face and says.

I can only smile at him and say.

Instead of being offended, the man actually laughed at my words.

I blink for a few seconds and smile. She is the first one to help the South when we are in need. It looks like she is serious when saying she wants to create an alliance with us. However, my smile turns to a frown as I know she will create an enemy in the north.
Those people never think of others and only think for themselves. Allying with the South can be seen as an insult to the ’Noble’ people of the North. They did not think that we were also noble, and even my family was higher in noble ranking than them.
They think of us as Barbarians who should die and do not think the Gipan Kingdom would cease to exist if not for us.
"I see. Lady Catharina, huh? I should make sure to thank her later."
I snap from my thoughts when my father voices his words.
"I will reward her with sothing later. However, there is still one problem. What is your price? What is your price for the remainder of the war?"
The large man gives us a large grin and says.
"Remainder of the war? That is a long-ti contract, my friend. We cannot do that. This war can last for a year, maybe two."
"Then how about a non-aggression contract? We will hire you and your group for the next three fights and your group will not join our enemy."
"That we can do. Let’s talk about price."
"Then follow ."
My father looks at and says,
"Gwyn, I will leave the cleanup to you."
"Of course, father."
Cleanup, huh? I look in the distance and see a mountain of corpses and a massive siege tower being abandoned by the enemy. I can only sigh and look at my n.
"Alright, people! Let’s give our comrade a proper burial."

It takes us five hours to gather all our fallen comrades’ bodies and put the enemy into one pile. I stand before a tall pile and take out a scroll from my inventory. This is an instant spell, an expensive scroll that can be bought from the NPC.
It cannot cast a high-level spell, but it can cast under a level hundred spell.
I tear the scroll, and suddenly a jet of fla rushes out from my palm and hits the corpse’s pile. We already take all their armor and weapons and only leave them with their birthday suit to properly burn them.
I release a sigh and walk back to the fortress, where I see the others already cooking so food for us. I look around and see that my father has already finished his business and is taking care of the inventory.

"Jullian! How are you?"

"Yes! So of us get quite the beating, but we survive, and now our wounds have already healed by the doctor."
"That is good. Have you heard what we will do next?"

He said that the enemy will likely wait for their ally to gather in one spot and attack with all their might."

Quantity against quality, huh? They can keep replacing their number while one of our soldiers is as precious as gold. We cannot replace our soldiers unless we want to reduce our quality.

I can only sigh at his answer, but I cannot help but smile at his conviction.
"Ah! The Lord asked to tell you sothing."

"Sonia is coming here, young master. The Lady sent us a letter from Shadowfall about her and twenty people coming here. The Lady said sothing about Sonia wanting to et her father after a long ti."
I can only sigh at that as I only leave her for a couple of months.
