|Catharina von Xenotra - Heiress of Baron Xenotra|
"The first prince?"
Jonathan looks at for a second before dying.
"He will arrive next year, I think. Is he one of the important people in your vision, Cat?"
I nod and say.
"Yes."
I decided to tell Jonathan and Veronica about the ga tiline as I did not want to create a big misunderstanding. They look shocked at that news and even panic at the ntion of the God of Darkness and Destruction getting resurrected.
It looks like there is sothing the ga did not tell about. So cult tried to do that a hundred years ago and sacrificed ten thousand people to resurrect the God of Darkness and Destruction. It took them a month to stop the resurrection, but they did not completely stop it, as the process had already resurrected a portion of its power.
Fighting that portion of it takes more than three hundred people before the portion of the God of Darkness and Destruction can be defeated. That is the portion of its power, as if ten percent of its power, and it takes three hundred people and their strongest fighter to defeat that thing.
And in the ga, the God of Darkness and Destruction is fully resurrected, and that thing wants to kill as many people in the world as possible.
The ga has five endings: The Good Ending, the Bad Ending, the True Ending, the Cowardly Ending, and the Quick Ending.
The good ending is where the player manages to kill the God of Darkness and Destruction with a special sword that manages to damage its soul enough so that when the player destroys its body, it dies in real life.
The bad ending is the most often and the one many players get. It is when the player dies, is imprisoned, or even brainwashed in the ga. The ga has too many bad endings, and I’m sick of it. I will ensure I will not get any bad ending in this life. I have already dodged several (at least a dozen) paths that will lead to bad ends, and I will make sure that it is kept like that.
There are three paths that will lead to Cowardly Endings. You can take them in each arc of the storyline. The first arc is when the Southern Nobles manage to take over half of your territory. One of the NPCs the player invites to the party will ask the player if they want to leave the continent and go to the other to avoid the battle. The ending will appear when the player accepts this offer—the sa with other arcs.
The Quick Ending is when the player chooses all the wrong questions in the first interaction with other NPCs when they first boot the ga. The ga then tells the player that the Main Character of the ga will be a regular noble heiress and die in the first event of the Southern Noble uprising event. Many players deem this ending as one of the many bad endings because the MC died in the end.
The True Ending is sothing I want to avoid. The reason? The player did not get the special sword from the hardest dungeon either because they did not have enough ti to clear it, because the dungeon had a ti limit, or they missed it completely and directly fought the boss. That’s right, the dungeon that will appear in the ga is not even in the main or side quest list. You need to clear it without any reward from the quest and fight powerful monsters and bosses to clear this dungeon. The developer is a shitty developer to make this kind of shit.
"Cat?"
I shake my head and say.
"Right. Sorry about that. I’m thinking about sothing. Anyway, yes. The first prince will be an important figure in the incoming fight. He will learn a holy spell that can deal massive damage to the enemy."
How important is the first prince? Even when the player decides to ignore him, he still appears frequently in the ga storyline and acts as an important figure in the fight. He is the one who cancels the immortality of one of the pillars of the black rose so we can kill it.
He is that important. If not for him, the fight will be impossible. That is why recruiting him into the party of the player is a double-edged sword. He is powerful and a good tank or mage (depending on the build you put him into), but if you decide to recruit him, you make his [Essential NPC] status disappear, and now he can die in battle.
If he died in battle, say hello to Bad Ending, even though the bad ending will appear later in the third arc. Many players manage to kill him early in the ga and always get a bad ending in the third arc. The developer even needs to make an announcent that it was not a bug but rather a feature, and the player is trapped in the loop of bad endings to rest the ga and start from the beginning and make sure he did not die.
That is why many speedrunners decide to ignore him and only recruit NPC that they can use as a sacrificial lamb in their run.
"Holy Spell, huh? That is a complicated spell to cast. Will he be able to do that?"
I look at Veronica and say.
"I don’t know. However, in my vision, he managed to cast it after a couple of minutes of chanting and remove the immortality of a demon that will destroy the capital city."
Jonathan and Veronica look at with a grave expression. After a few seconds of silence, Jonathan says.
"You said that the vision has already changed from reality, right?"
"Yes. In my vision, the Southern Nobles will rebel against the royal family, and we need to fight them."
"However, in the real world, it did not happen. Sothing must have happened to change that vision."
Yeah, it is because Gwyndolin and I are reincarnated people. Our presence makes the butterfly effect change into a dragon effect because of the massive change happening in the main tiline. The change is too big for the butterfly’s wings to do.
"I think it is because of ."
Veronica and Jonathan look at with a surprised expression. Veronica put her hand on my tight and said.
"Why did you say that?"
"Because once I get that vision, I make sure that my family makes a trade with the Southern Nobles. Lucky for , my father did not see them as barbarians but as a human and willing to trade with them at a reasonable price. Not only that, I think Heir Gwyndolin also managed to solve the source of their problem."
"Which is?"
"Their food resource."
"Right!"
Jonathan perks up at that word.
"I received a report that the Southern Land cannot produce enough food because the alchemist from the North created so kind of concoction, and it exploded into the river and the land in the South. It created famine for the South, and I have a feeling they are angry at the king for not doing anything about it."
I nod at Jonathan’s words and say.
"Yes. That is the reason why they are rebelling. For years, they have endured humiliation. Add famine to that list, and they would rather die in battle than die of starvation. Lucky for them, Heir Gwyndolin appears into the world and solves their problem."
I release a sigh and say.
"The Southern people are simple creatures. They have already forgotten what we have done to them and continue to endure. Not because they respect us, no. It is because they think of their family. If they go to war, many people will die. Many children will lose their fathers, and they did not want that to happen."
Jonathan and Veronica nod at my word. Veronica looks at the ceiling and says.
"If the famine was still happening, they did not have anything to lose, huh? And as you said, Cat. The Southern people would rather die fighting than die of starvation. In their desperation, they wage war against the Royal Family and die for it."
"Yes. However, we know we can hold the incoming disaster with the Southern people united under one banner."
Jonathan looks at and says.
"Speaking of disaster, your vision said the disaster would co from the south, right?"
"Yes."
"Then why does the Black Rose that we follow go to the east instead of the south?"
I look at him in shock before saying.
"Don’t tell ..."
Jonathan nods his head and says.
"Yes. They are making sure that we are following the wrong people. We are following them to the east while their real base is in the south."
I look at him, and my eyes widen at that realization.
"The enemy has played us. We are chasing the wrong goose the entire ti."
Shit.
