Chapter 148: Both Lost Their mories
The police and rcenaries worked together to scatter the refugees. When Jin Yang returned to the villa with Little Yu in his arms, he found that it was already empty.
“I’ll get you sothing to eat, okay?”
Jin Yang recalled so parenting books that he had previously read, and wanted to use food to placate Little Yu.
He was just about to place Little Yu on the sofa when the frightened little girl refused to let go. She felt an inexplicable closeness towards Jin Yang and hugged his neck tightly with her arms. Little Yu’s grape-like eyes revealed an uneasy look as she shook her head and said, “No!”
“Little Yu is afraid of the bad guys! They might be hiding sowhere!”
Jin Yang looked at the adorable little girl and felt his heart lt from her childish voice. He could only hold her and sit down to coax her. “The bad guys have been chased away.”
His gaze landed awkwardly on the corner of the window where Qiu Tong and Song Yan had been. He frowned and fell into deep thought.
Little Yu bit her red lips and sized up Jin Yang seriously. “Uncle Song Yan, are you really our Daddy?”
“Every ti we encounter danger, you will appear to help us! Just like a hero in a fairy tale, a prince!”
After interacting with him a few tis, Little Yu’s impression of Jin Yang had changed. She even felt that it might be a good thing to have him protect her mother.
Jin Yang paused and shook his head after a mont of silence. “No.”
“I just t your mommy not long ago. We didn’t know each other before. Don’t call Daddy.”
Jin Yang raised his hand and tapped the tip of Little Yu’s nose. Seeing the loneliness in her eyes, his heart ached as if soone was tugging at it.
In the forest, Song Yan heard this conversation through the surveillance devices he had left in the villa. He leaned against a tree trunk with interest and frowned as he recalled the paternity test report that had been released from the hospital. “Strange, could it be that he doesn’t know?”
Song Yan recalled Jin Yang’s abnormal actions. If he knew the identity of Qiu Xingyuan and the other children, he would definitely bring them back to the official residence to take care of them.
It really did not look like he was trying to avoid responsibility. Jin Yang really did not know!
“This is getting more and more interesting!”
In the distance, Qiu Tong was comforting Qiu Xingyuan and the rest. Song Yan’s gaze landed on her and he muttered, “It looks like Jin Yang did have a past relationship with her, but sohow, both of them lost their mories of that period?”
“Is this an opportunity bestowed upon by the heavens?”
Song Yan took a deep breath, his eyes sparkling with excitent.
The rcenaries returned to the forest in twos and threes to et up with Ke Le. Qiu Tong checked everyone’s injuries but did not see Little Yu.
“Did anyone see Little Yu?”
Qiu Xingqiao tugged at the corner of the rcenary’s shirt nervously as he asked with a trembling voice.
The rcenaries suddenly thought of Little Yu, who was hiding in the bushes. When they went back to look, she was nowhere to be seen!
“Boss, we are sorry!”
They wanted to kneel down and apologize, but Qiu Tong held them up. “Don’t do that.”
She suppressed her anxiety and said, “You didn’t do anything wrong in the situation just now. Little Yu is very obedient. She definitely won’t run far. We have to find her as soon as possible before it gets dark…”
“Yes!”
The rcenaries searched the surroundings. Song Yan looked in the direction of the villa and frowned as he called out to Qiu Tong.
