It was then that Nagisa truly found herself swallowed by the emptiness of being utterly alone in the world. She drifted through that nightmare of an existence, wandering like a beggar through the wastelands of hell itself. Her steps were aimless and were haunted by ash and silence, carrying nothing but the weight of her own past and scars that refused to heal.
Days blurred into nights, and ti felt aningless, until fate—or maybe cruel rcy—led her into Yuuna’s path.
Yuuna, with eyes that seed to see right through Nagisa, beca sothing Nagisa never thought she’d have again. It was a faint, flickering beacon of hope.
Deep down, Nagisa knew the truth from the very first mont. She wasn’t naive anymore. She could tell what Yuuna was, and she knew that she was a manipulator, soone who’d use her and bend her into whatever shape fit her plans.
But when you’ve been crawling at the bottom of hell, starving for even a scrap of light, what do you do when soone reaches out a hand?
"Do you want to get out from the depths of hell?"
Those words cut through the darkness like a blade.
Even knowing that hand might pull her into chains again, there was no way Nagisa could turn away.
So she reached out, her voice raw and shaking, as if even the simple act of speaking hurt.
"...Yes..."
And with that single word, she stepped into Yuuna’s world and beca a part of her faction.
At first, she braced herself to be nothing more than a tool, like she was a living relic of a once-powerful oni clan, reduced to being useful only for her bloodline. She was ready to be used and to be treated like a weapon pointed at Yuuna’s enemies.
But strangely, the longer she stayed, the more it didn’t feel that way.
Instead of chains, she found sothing close to belonging. It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t warm or gentle, but it was sothing. Even if she couldn’t quite na it, it felt better than anything she’d known in a long, long ti.
Then ca Kouhei.
At first, Nagisa only saw him as sothing mildly amusing, like a distraction she could tease, but nothing deeper. But that changed. Little by little, her heart betrayed her. What started as harmless curiosity grew into sothing fierce and uncontrollable, until she realized she had fallen.
Hard.
She’d fallen for him so deeply it scared her.
At first, she told herself she was losing her mind. But no matter how much she tried to deny it, the feeling grew stronger until it spilled over. And when she finally chose to chase that feeling—to show him what he ant to her—it blossod into sothing real and sothing she thought she’d never deserve.
It felt too good. Too fragile, in fact.
And then it shattered the mont Kouhei was killed in battle.
They fought desperately, refusing to give up—and sohow, they brought him back. But by then, the person who had first saved Nagisa—the one who’d reached out to her in the depths of hell—Yuuna—had been taken.
They knew damn well the odds were against them. They didn’t care. So things mattered more than survival or victory.
For Nagisa, this war was about more than saving Yuuna.
It was also about facing the monster she hated most in the entire world... and that was her own aunt, Yuzuha.
Nagisa glared at Yuzuha, her eyes smoldering with raw, seething rage that felt like it might burn her from the inside out.
Yuzuha only laughed, a sharp, mocking sound that cut deeper than any blade. "What the fuck are you staring at like that for? You really think you can do anything to ?" she giggled, as if the very idea was pathetic and funny.
"Why don’t we fucking find out, Yuzuha? Let’s see if I can," Nagisa spat back, her voice trembling with fury she could barely contain.
"Mmmh... You’ve really grown more stupid, haven’t you?" Yuzuha sneered, her smirk twisting into sothing dark and cruel.
Then it happened.
In a single heartbeat, both of them launched themselves forward. The force of their leap shattered the ground beneath them, craters exploding outward like scars in stone. Their massive forms blurred into motion that shouldn’t have been possible for bodies that size with them being monstrous and graceful all at once.
And then, in the blink of an eye, they crashed into each other.
Their fists collided with a sound like thunder ripping the sky apart. The shockwave tore through the battlefield, flinging anyone nearby like rag dolls caught in a storm. Dust and shards of broken earth spiraled into the air, and the ground itself cracked and cratered beneath the force of their clash.
The instant their fists smashed together, the air itself seed to scream — a sharp, BOOM! echoing out like the crack of a hundred cannons firing at once. Stone shattered underfoot, flying up in jagged shards that scraped against Nagisa’s skin, but she barely felt it. All she could see was Yuzuha’s face twisted in that smug, hateful grin.
"HRAAAHH!" Nagisa roared, voice hoarse and raw as she shoved forward, pushing against Yuzuha’s strength. Sparks spat from where their fists ground together, each breath like fire burning in her lungs.
"Tch... pathetic!" Yuzuha hissed back, her voice dripping with scorn. She pivoted, twisting her massive body with terrifying grace, and swung her knee into Nagisa’s ribs.
Pain exploded in Nagisa’s side.
She felt bone strain and sothing inside give, but she didn’t falter. Her eyes narrowed, burning with hate.
"Fuck you...!" she spat, blood flecking her lips.
Nagisa grabbed at Yuzuha’s leg, her fingers digging into flesh like iron clamps, and hurled her sideways. The ground split beneath them, dust and chunks of rock billowing into the air like smoke.
Yuzuha slamd her palm into the ground, halting her montum with inhuman force, then launched back at Nagisa. Her fist cut through the air, loud enough it felt like it shook Nagisa’s eardrums.
BANG!
Nagisa raised her arm in ti, but the impact sent her skidding back, feet digging deep furrows in the scorched earth. Dust rolled around her, coating her skin and sticking to the sweat pouring from her brow.
"You really think you can beat ?" Yuzuha barked, her voice echoing like thunder across the battlefield.
"I don’t just think it... I fucking will!" Nagisa snarled back, voice ragged but steady.
They clashed again, fists and elbows striking like hamrs.
THUD! CRACK! BANG!
Each blow sounded like stone splitting or iron smashing into iron. The shockwaves rippled outward, toppling broken pillars and tossing smaller demons through the air like dolls.
Nagisa’s breath ca in harsh, wet gasps. Her knuckles were raw, skin torn, blood dripping freely down her arm. But she kept going. Every step forward was driven by hate, by the mory of seeing her clan burning, by her mother’s face, by everything Yuzuha took from her.
Yuzuha moved with monstrous grace, every punch backed by power that could crumble mountains. But Nagisa matched her, fury turning her movents sharp, desperate, and unstoppable.
At one mont, Yuzuha swung low, trying to break Nagisa’s legs from under her, but Nagisa leapt, twisting midair, and drove her fist down into Yuzuha’s shoulder.
The blow smashed Yuzuha to one knee, the ground cratering beneath her. Dust exploded upward, swallowing them both in a choking cloud. Through it, Nagisa could see Yuzuha’s eyes widen, just for a heartbeat, with surprise.
"You fucking insect—!" Yuzuha roared, fury spitting from every word.
"You’re the insect, Yuzuha!" Nagisa bellowed back, voice breaking from the strain.
She swung again with a wild, savage hook that connected with Yuzuha’s jaw.
The sound echoed like a whipcrack, and Yuzuha’s head snapped to the side, blood and spittle flying.
The impact made Nagisa’s bones scream, but she didn’t stop.
Another punch. BAM! Another. THUD!
The air itself seed to split with each strike.
Yuzuha staggered back, teeth gritted, growling low like a cornered beast. "You worthless fucking freak...!"
"Shut the fuck up and fight !" Nagisa roared, voice cracking into a ragged howl.
They charged at each other again, feet pounding against broken stone and when they crashed together, the shockwave this ti was so violent it sent cracks spiderwebbing outward across the ruined ground.
Dust, blood, and sweat clung to them both, the sll of iron sharp in the air, every breath burning like hot coals in Nagisa’s lungs.
But just as Nagisa launched forward again, vision burning red with rage, sothing shifted.
Yuzuha’s smirk twisted into sothing colder, crueler with her eyes flashing with a sharp, knowing glint.
"Enough playing around..." she hissed under her breath.
Before Nagisa could even process it, Yuzuha ducked low, muscles coiling like a drawn bow, then exploded upward. Her massive fist smashed straight into Nagisa’s gut.
"Ghhha—!"
The air ripped from Nagisa’s lungs in a ragged gasp. Her eyes bulged, pain like molten iron stabbing through her ribs. She felt her feet leave the ground as the sheer force of the blow lifted her bodily into the air.
Her back slamd into broken stone, chunks flying off as she hit, coughing out spit and blood that spattered the cracked earth.
Nagisa tried to catch her breath, but Yuzuha didn’t give her a second.
"Too slow, little girl!" Yuzuha snarled, her voice dripping with venom.
Before Nagisa’s boots could even touch the ground again, Yuzuha closed the distance in a single monstrous step with dust spiraling around her legs.
A knee drove up into Nagisa’s chest.
Nagisa wheezed, pain burning down her spine, her vision blotting out at the edges. The shock made her drop her guard, and Yuzuha seized the opening without rcy.
"I told you, you worthless defect!" Yuzuha spat, grabbing Nagisa by the horn jutting from her forehead. The grip was brutal, twisting sharply. CRRCK! Pain ripped through Nagisa’s skull, white-hot and blinding.
"AHHHH—!"
Before she could pull back, Yuzuha dragged her head-first and SLAMD her face into the ground. Stone cracked, chips flying, the taste of blood filling Nagisa’s mouth.
Nagisa tried to push herself up, arms shaking, but Yuzuha’s hand crashed down on the back of her head, forcing her face back into the rubble. Dust and grit filled Nagisa’s nose and mouth, burning her throat as she coughed blood.
"What’s wrong? Where’s all that pathetic bravado now?" Yuzuha taunted, her breath hot against Nagisa’s ear, voice vibrating with twisted glee.
Nagisa’s heart pounded like a war drum, pain crackling through every nerve. But still, she growled, a sound low and feral, fighting to rise.
Yuzuha’s heel smashed into her side, sending her rolling over the broken ground, pebbles and shards scraping her skin raw.
Nagisa gasped, struggling to get air into bruised lungs with her vision swimming. Every breath tasted of iron and dust. But even as she tried to steady herself, Yuzuha’s massive form was already looming over her.
WHAM!
A punch crashed into Nagisa’s cheek, snapping her head sideways.
Her ears rang, stars exploding in her vision.
Another punch followed, even faster, slamming into her shoulder, bone grinding painfully.
Nagisa staggered back, steps shaky, blood dribbling from her split lip. She lifted her fists again, chest heaving, vision blurred with tears and rage.
"Not done yet...? You never learn." Yuzuha sneered, stepping forward, her massive shadow swallowing Nagisa’s battered fra.
In a flash, Yuzuha’s fist blurred and smashed into Nagisa’s ribs again and a sharp, stabbing pain shot through her side, and she tasted bile rising in her throat.
Another blow, this ti an elbow crashing down across Nagisa’s back, forcing her to her knees. The ground splintered beneath the weight, dust clouding around them.
Nagisa coughed violently, blood splattering on the broken stone beneath her. Her arms shook, barely holding her up. But in her chest, her heart still hamred, refusing to stop.
Through the ringing in her ears, she heard Yuzuha’s cruel laugh.
"You really thought you could stand against ? You’re nothing, Nagisa. Always have been... always fucking will be."
Nagisa sucked in a ragged breath, spit and blood running down her chin. Her vision swam, but the fla in her eyes refused to die.
Even as Yuzuha towered over her, fist raised for another crushing blow, that stubborn spark still burned.
I won’t fucking fall here... not to you...
And the ruined ground trembled under them, as Yuzuha prepared to bring her fist down.
