The luxurious carriage began touring around Dragon City. Derek was a legendary rank warrior, but he drove the carriage at the slowest speed possible so the princess could admire the city view.
The pedestrians on the street were amazed at the carriage’s splendor and so even asked passersby which noble’s carriage it was, but that was all. In this miraculous city, people were already used to seeing luxurious things.
“Dragon City is really clean and tidy. You can’t even see any foul-slling ditches.”
Aurora peeked through the curtains of the carriage to see the liveliness outside while trying to think of a topic to talk about.
She had excitedly invited Louie to tour Dragon City because she wanted to spend more ti with him, and at the sa ti, she was truly curious about what this world-renowned famous city was like.
Aurora did not know if she would still have such free ti if she went directly to the palace, so she took this chance to tour the city.
“Dragon City was originally known as Central City, a territory of the Slaine Theocracy. Hmm, I guess Aurora does not know much about that state. It’s probably just a mark in the history books for you.”
It was only then did Louie feel the passage of ti and begin reminiscing. The tis had changed. From his first descent in the Silver Moon Kingdom of the world of San Soliel until today, eighty years had passed and within those eighty years, the Slaine Theocracy and the Subila Empire had fallen apart and only remained as nas in history books.
The Subila Empire was considerably better as the royal family had survived and still possessed territory. But the Slaine Theocracy that had once gathered faith in several gods had been abolished without a trace.
The God of War and Goddess of Morning would never leave a single trace of this country, even if it was once populated with their believers.
“About eighty years ago, Central City was invaded and conquered by Louie Galakrond. It was then renad Dragon City. Despite being a dragon, the Dragon God, Louie Galakrond had extraordinary talents in city defense construction and political planning. The Dragon God stated destruction needed to precede construction, and from the ashes of the old, he established a new city. At that ti, the sole work assigned to the entire population of the city was to excavate the city in order to rebuild it.”
“At that ti, many people laughed at the Dragon God and called the inhabitants of the city slaves. No one knew what use there was in excavating the city. They did not know that it was then that an extrely complex underground piping system was created. This allowed today’s Dragon City to remain clean and stay flood-free even under heavy rain.”
Louie explained the developnt of Dragon City. Through his elegant speech, he could spin a magnificent tale of how Dragon City developed and flourished, cursing Aurora’s eyes to flash like stars. Her eyes gazed at him full of admiration.
“Mr. Ramses is truly knowledgeable. Although I have a basic understanding of the historical developnt of Dragon City, it’s not as detailed as your explanation.”
Aurora said admiringly. She felt that Louie was speaking as if he had experienced it all, making her feel as if it was like a story. She was only twenty years old and had been carefully sheltered by Andrea, so she still possessed a young girl’s innocence and curiosity.
From this point, Aurora was indeed no match for her sister Alexia who could be said to have been given great responsibility from birth. After all, Alexia had been set to work by Louie and the Silver Moon Goddess when she was less than a year old…
Looking at Aurora’s admiring gaze, Louie was also dumbfounded. He felt that talking about his past achievents to his daughter like this was like a father talking about his past heroics to a daughter.
But Aurora did not know his identity. Instead of a father-daughter type familial love, the emotion born had beco more profound.
Of course, Louie knew that Aurora’s current feelings for him were sowhat distorted and knew that his bloodline caused this, but even knowing this, Louie did not want to change anything. For a true god, everything was for the sake of his happiness. Even if he was treating his daughter unfairly, he did not care at all.
Louie’s temper had long been different. He was neither a human nor a dragon, but a true god. His ethics, morality, and even his perception of things had undergone trendous changes.
He now bore nearly no resemblance to the man he was when he first started out on this journey.
The carriage entered the park and Louie continued, “This park was built back when the Dragon God was still the lord of this land. From the beginning, he planned to devote this place to the residents of the city. At that ti, the people did not know why the lord wanted to give such a magnificent garden to re commoners. Now this park has beco a symbol in Dragon City. It represents the great Dragon God’s love for his people.”
The park’s size had now expanded significantly and was surrounded by excellent greenery. There were even a few fountains placed within it. In this multiracial urban hub, it was rare to see such a place with birds singing and fragrant flowers.
In the center of the park was a huge sculpture of the Dragon God which wasn’t there seventy years ago. People were free to wander around and enjoy the park, but only this statue could never be touched and was only used as an object of worship.
Since the local residents of Dragon City were almost a hundred percent believers of the Dragon God, this rule did not have to be stated as people spontaneously complied.
There were druids pruning the branches and leaving in the afternoon ti. There were also beautiful elves wandering everywhere as this was their favorite place to be.
In the corner of the park, Aurora saw a pair of lovers sitting on a bench. The lovers were surrounded by a lot of soldiers in civilian clothes. From the eyes of the soldiers, it was clear that they were experienced veterans, aning that the identity of the lovers was extraordinary.
The reason why Aurora looked at them was not because of the status of the lovers but their appearance.
One of them was a man that already had white hair and appeared to be about fifty years old, while the elf he held in his hand was young and handso that looked to be in his twenties. Although the age gap and appearance between the two were very large, there was clearly love in their eyes. This love made Aurora look at Louie beside her.
If this was a pair of human and elf lovers, Aurora would not have been surprised, but this pair of lovers were both males!
“That’s General Wyatt…”
Louie noticed Aurora’s gaze and felt emotional, “General Wyatt is a native of Dragon City. He joined the army about seventy years ago. That year, he was less than eighteen years old and was part of the oldest group of soldiers in Dragon City.”
“He participated in Dragon City’s initial crusade in the Shadow Realm, fought in the battle against pirates in the south, gained rits in the battle of the Seven Kingdom Alliance, and slew many enemy tribes and surrounding monsters for the sake of the city. It could be said that he has made outstanding contributions to Dragon City. The elf beside him is his lover. The two t in the barracks and fought on the sa battlefield.”
“As the Holy Maiden of the Church, you should know that the Dragon God Church allows homosexuality, while the Silver Moon Goddess prohibits it due to the scarcity of the elves. In order to be with his lover, the elf even chose to change his faith to beco a believer in the Dragon God. If it was in the past era, the Silver Moon Goddess would have never allowed this, but with the relationship between the two churches, the goddess allowed it so long as it was not a large-scale conversion.”
Louie gazed at this pair of lovers with a gentle look. They were his believers; extrely devout ones that could be called fanatics.
The oldest generation of Dragon City who had not died yet, experienced Louie’s rule and guidance. As a result, almost all of them beca fanatics. It could be said that the believers in this city alone were enough to make Louie beco a high-tier god.
“General Wyatt is already more than eighty years old. As a ninth-rank warrior, his life expectancy is longer than others, but if he cannot break through to the legendary rank, he would soon reach his twilight years. Aurora, you may not know this, but that elf had made a decision. If Wyatt dies, he was willing to give up his entire lifespan and head to Dragonblight. There he would live with his lover again.”
“Originally, all the gods had forbidden suicide, but this elf had pleaded with the Pope, hoping that the Pope would allow him to die with his lover. The Pope was moved by the sincerity of his love and especially asked the Dragon God for permission, which was granted. Thus, he was allowed to join with his lover in the Dragon God's divine kingdom by taking his own life.
Louie just told her the story that many people in Dragon City knew, but Aurora had been moved by this. After hearing such a tearful love story and seeing the people with her eyes, Aurora’s eyes slightly reddened. She looked at Louie with eyes that were more and more complex as if she had made a certain determination.
“The Dragon God is truly a benevolent God!’
Aurora praised her Father God.
“Yes, Aurora, your Father God is a benevolent God!”
Louie said with a playful smile. He turned his head to look at his daughter’s pretty face. This caused her face to redden even more and lower her head.
