“Sir, this is a ssage from Japan.”

A young officer walked into a villa and respectfully handed over a piece of paper.

The old man did not take the paper. He just leaned back in his chair and half-squinted his eyes.

“My old friend is performing a ritual in the shrine, right?”

The young officer hesitated for a mont before he stood up straight, “Yes, sir! I was sent from above to ask you what we should do, and we expect to receive your guidance.”

“Just make your own decision. As for my old friend, he has no other desire. His only goal is to restore the people’s faith in Amaterasu Omikami. There is no need to worry about him. He is not interested in earthly power just like .”

The old man spoke in a soft voice, but the words that ca from his mouth made the officer’s face red with sha and embarrassnt. What the upper echelons of the Chinese governnt were worried about was indeed power. Those who are in charge, they were willing to lose everything, but they could never live without power. This was how poisonous power was.

“I understand, sir! I will report your suggestion to the top.”

The old man closed his eyes without saying anything more. The officer saluted and retreated with slow steps.

At this ti, Louie had already started to manipulate ‘Typhon’ that was wreaking havoc on the North Arican continent, ready to use it to complete another plan of his own.

……

The searing hot lava seed to never cool down. The river that continued to flow was attempting to subrge the legions of tanks in front of it. The human steel seed overwheld in the face of the supernatural, the face of the greatness of nature.

The tracks of the tank lted under the rushing stream of lava and even the steel-made behemoths were gradually being invaded by the heat of the lava.

“AHHHH—”

The personnel inside the tanks scread miserably. The external armor simply could not expel the heat that reached thousands of degrees. The human flesh was slowly baked by the riding temperature. First was the roasted sll of at, and then turned into burnt bones.

“Retreat, everyone quickly, leave this place to a higher altitude. We simply can not stop this monster. We can’t even get close to it!”

The commander of the Arican Ard Corps ordered his soldiers to retreat after seeing the miserable state of the tanks at the forefront. He no longer cared whether he would be court-martialed for running away. Facing a monster that humans could not stop, the commander was not willing to sacrifice his own soldiers that were like his sons and daughters, especially on this unnecessary battlefield.

In fact, the commander could tell that if Typhon wanted to enter downtown Los Angeles, the entire army standing against it would not be able to stop it. Typhon was simply a moving natural disaster, a walking volcano. It was laughable to try any further.

“Roar—”

Typhon simply ignored the fleeing ants. It just continued roaring, and with every roar, there would be new volcanoes forming from the ground and erupting with brilliant orange. In Greek mythology, volcanoes were called Typhon’s fury, and at this mont, that myth was embodied to the fullest.

The eastern suburbs of Los Angeles were completely turned into a scorched hell. A quarter of the entire Los Angeles has fallen and turned into ashes.

As the second largest city in the United States, even the destruction of its suburbs was big news. The resulting economic losses were not low. The only good news among the bad news was that the number of casualties was less than imagined due to the place being a suburb.

After driving away a group of helicopters and armored tanks that were in front of him, Typhon continued to take a firm step in its direction of interest, a valley within high mountains. Inside was precisely a ballistic missile base hidden by the United States of Arica.

“Typhon has moved away from Los Angeles and is heading for our ballistic missile base!”

The observer in the Pentagon shouted. Both the president and the military brass were relieved to hear this news.

They looked at each other and smiled bitterly. When did the great United States actually feel happy that their enemy was going to attack their own military base? The world was truly changing very fast. It was moving so fast that no one could react at all, so fast that the United States of Arica had not yet changed its status from hegemony to being a chick bullied by supernatural forces.

“Mr. President, do we need to move away the nuclear materials in the base?”

“Is there ti?”

“There should be no problem if we hurry.”

Hearing the Defense Minister’s answer, the President hesitated for a mont before saying, “Don’t move it all, just move half of it and leave the remaining half to Typhon. Its goal is most likely the nuclear materials.”

“Typhon’s goal… Oh no, I rembered that there is sothing else in this military base!”

An elderly general exclaid. He hastily grabbed a computer with his own access to the United States internal network and opened a picture, “… This is a tal canister that once appeared in the research base in Sonora Desert, Arizona. We were able to excavate an identical object in Yellowstone Park and bring it to this military base for research.”

“I don’t know if you all rember it, but that tal canister in the base of Sonora Desert changed and from it ca the ‘Demon King of Thanksgiving’.”

The words of this general made others look blank. They rembered the incident that once happened in the Sonoran Desert base. A mysterious jar suddenly transford into the dead souls of Indians and beca a demon king. Those dead souls also nad the dragon scale that was being studied as sothing that ca from the incarnation of Satan.

Now, it seed that the tal can-like thing was probably related to ‘demons’ and other such existences. Otherwise, why would a tal can in the Sonora Desert beco the incarnation of Indian resentnt? Now, Typhons was heading to the military base that was keeping the tal can.

“In that case, I suspect that Typhon might not be coming for the nuclear material, but for this tal canister… Why didn’t you destroy such a terrible thing?! Could it be that you are still playing around with that dangerous thing?”

The president glared at the aged general, the sa as the other people in the room.

“The general wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said, “No, Mr. President! After the incident with Jupiter LXVI, everything that was considered dangerous was destroyed or sealed. As for this tal canister, we used many ans to destroy it, but we couldn’t. As a result, we had no choice but to dig a pit and bury it underground.”

Hearing the General’s words, the President of the United States said with an idea, “… If Typhon is really after this material, can’t we just take it away from the mainland and send it to other countries? Maybe Typhon would leave the United States of Arica and go elsewhere?”

The crowd in the Pentagon looked at the president with consternation, applauding him for coming up with such a mischievous plan.

“S-sir, we might not be able to do it. At that ti, we had buried the tal canister hundreds of ters below ground just to be safe. We don’t have the ti to dig it up again.”

The general said with a bitter smile.

The people in the room could not restrain their expression of disappointnt. That was to say that their plans to lure Typhon to the East had failed before they even started.

The President of the USA gritted his teeth, but he also knew that this was not the general’s fault. After forcing down the bitterness in his heart, only then did he look at the picture on the computer.

The tal canister in the picture was the energy source of the Terran Civilization!
