Earth’s most sophisticated exploration and drilling equipnt was transported to its far-flung destination with the most concentrated effort.
On Earth, countless astronors and geologists had conducted rigorous analyses to find the best areas to drill, but no one knew the soil quality of Jupiter’s moons, the experts could only make an approximation. This was the reason why a drilling expert was needed as part of the landing personnel.
“Hey, everyone! Do we count ourselves as one of the first people to land on other planetary moons?”
An expert from England was walking on the satellite in a spacesuit, but as he wasn’t well-trained, he lost his footing quite quickly.
He laughed as he got up from the ground while borrowing the signal transmitter to chat with others.
These ‘Avengers Alliance’ mbers would carry out seventeen hours of ntally tense work, during which there could not be any rest. Any slight error could lead to their own and the entire human race’s demise. The psychological pressure on them was unimaginable, and as such, they needed to resort to humor to diffuse so of the tension.
“With today’s technological developnt rate, I guess it would be impossible for to travel to Jupiter and walk on its moon in my lifeti, but thanks to Jupiter LXVI traveling across millions of kiloters by itself, I get to be the first. Fate is truly mysterious.”
Another expert from the United States squatted down to touch the rocks on his feet and said jokingly.
“Haha! I wish that this kind of fate never ca though.”
“Dr. O’Neill, would you and Dr. Gennady please check the operational systems of the nuclear weapon again.”
“Yes, I’m on my way!”
After a couple of jokes, the experts stopped talking and got busy with their own work again.
The Arican nad O’Neill quickly rejoined the Russian researcher and the two of them went to a device to carry out another series of checks.
The others also collected their smiles and continued to transport large pieces of equipnt to the destination. Fortunately, there were no airborne sounds there, so it was not noisy.
Old Xu and several experts from other countries were surveying near the landing area to find the best drilling position.
“Here? Yes, this is it! The soil beneath us shouldn’t collapse if we drill here, and it shouldn’t be so hard as to hinder the drill either.”
“Old Xu, I think we can think about it so more. This is not Earth, so gravity is lower. We don’t have to think too much about collapses.”
Old Xu slapped his head to his chagrin, “You’re right. I almost forgot that. I need to change my considerations… Then how about here? We can tilt the drilling equipnt to a 10-15 degree angle. It would allow us to easily dig to the core of the asteroid and save us a lot of ti.”
The other experts quickly asured and calculated with their equipnt, but because of ti constraints, they were not able to calculate accurately. This ti, experience was the key, which was why Old Xu was chosen to co along.
“Mr. Xu, you are the most experienced among us, so we will listen to you!”
“Have the equipnt transported here, fast! We have already wasted an hour and cannot waste anymore!”
With everyone united, it didn’t take long for the world’s most advanced drilling technology to be set up. Old Xu gave out instructions while inspecting the equipnt. After determining that there was no problem, they activated the drill to let it dig to the core of the asteroid.
Old Xu was here to supervise the work while the rest did their job. So people who were no longer working gathered together to discuss and design a new plan because no one could guarantee that the drilling would be 100% successful. They needed to prepare a backup plan in case things didn’t pan out well.
If Jupiter LXVI was not under the influence of an evil force, then Earth could just blast its surface with multiple nuclear bombs to change its trajectory.
In the universe, a small angle of deviation was enough to cause a huge error. As long as the asteroid was moved by a few degrees, it was possible to make it fly past Earth.
However, the asteroid was observed to not only accelerate and decelerate but even stop and change directions. Everyone knew that the first plan would not succeed. Even if the asteroid was blown 180 degrees, it would just stop and change its direction again. It was simply too bizarre.
“Oh my God!”
Just as the crowd was busy, a voice suddenly echoed over the headset.
“What happened?”
“What’s going on?”
“Are there any problems?”
“Who is speaking, and where are you? Please answer!”
“……”
A barrage of questions echoed through the headset, and the one who lost his voice for a bit responded in panic, “I found so writings here. Yes, there’s no mistake, there are writings on Jupiter LXVI, and it’s writing that I have never seen before!”
As the words fell, the voice seed to be gasping for air.
The crowd was shocked by this news. Other than the staff who could not leave their posts, other people in the vicinity quickly arrived at the scene. They saw a Frenchman kneeling on the ground while convulsing. In front of him was a stone.
The people carefully and quickly ca to the Frenchman’s aid, then they also coincidentally looked at the stone in front.
Just as the Frenchman said, there was writing on a stone. The characters were so twisted and ugly that they did not look like sothing from any of Earth’s civilizations. There wasn’t much text, but it looked extrely mysterious and carried a corrupt and evil atmosphere.
As everyone looked at the words, several more people knelt on the ground while trembling and even let out dry wretches.
“Oh, shit!! Don’t look at the words. It’s very strange!”
“I feel the call of madness and evil. Oh, God, what kind of writing is this, to think I almost went crazy from looking at it.
“Too terrifying, too terrifying! I actually have the urge to kill when I see these words.”
“Look everyone, there are also words in other places too. There might be a demon on this asteroid!”
“This is probably an evil spell, or even the demon itself. It’s possible that these words are the rune of evil magic!”
“Send the news of this place back to Earth, quickly. We must quickly get out of here!”
“……”
The crowd pulled each other out and quickly left the place.
After knowing that Jupiter LXVI was able to defy the laws of physics, the people of Earth had long guessed that this was related to sothing supernatural. After seeing these evil words, more and more people were sure that it was the deed of the evil gods!
The work continued. The drilling equipnt had been largely successful, but the faces of the people beca more and more ugly as their hearts were buried with a layer of gloom.
