As she looked at the huge creature in front of her, Wang Mang's old grandmother was stunned for a long ti.

Eventually, she raised her head and looked at Wang Mang. "Are.. Are you my grandson?"

"Grandma, it's ." Wang Mang nodded his large head.

"My boy, what happened to you? Did you beco like this because your soul was eaten by a demon...?"

"Oh, what did our Wang family do to deserve this? How could you do this to my darling grandson...?"

The old woman's voice trembled as she sobbed. She reached out her wrinkled hand and stroked Wang Mang's huge body.

Wang Mang was struck speechless by his grandmother's words.

Only then did he rember that his grandmother's generation was much more accepting of these things than modern people would be.

Besides, the older generation was extrely superstitious. They always believed that the gods were constantly watching them.

Therefore, it was much easier for Wang Mang to reunite with his grandmother than he had imagined.

Wang Mang said softly, "Grandma, at least I'm still alive!"

After hearing Wang Mang's words, the old lady nodded. "Yes, you're right. Why, you might even beco a snake spirit in the future!"

"If you're lucky enough to win the favor of an immortal, you might even beco a deity one day!"

The thought of that possibility greatly improved the old lady's mood. She affectionately stroked Wang Mang's basin-sized head.

She looked at Wang Mang, who seed extrely ferocious to outsiders, with nothing but love in her eyes.

No matter what her grandson turned into, he was still her beloved grandson.

Wang Mang did not call her out on her misunderstanding. So what if Grandma was being superstitious? It did not matter as long as she was happy.

"Grandma, I want to see Mom and Dad," Wang Mang said after so hesitation.

His grandma nodded her head repeatedly. "Yes, of course. I'll tell your father right now."

She trembled as she took out her phone and called Wang Mang's parents.

After the call went through, Wang Mang did not say anything the entire ti. He only listened excitedly to his father's familiar voice on the phone.

Grandma simply said that she had sothing important to tell his parents and asked them to co ho tomorrow. However, she did not ntion anything about Wang Mang turning into a giant python.

After hanging up the phone, Grandma looked at Wang Mang and said, "My boy, co back to your room and get so sleep!"

Wang Mang smiled bitterly. "Grandma, there's no need for that. I'll sleep in the forest in the backyard!"

Grandma scolded him. "That won't do!"

Wang Mang laughed dryly. "Grandma, I've already turned into a giant python. It's not convenient for to stay in the house."

The old lady still firmly disagreed. "Nonsense! What if soone discovers you out here? What if they try to kill you?"

Helpless, Wang Mang could only relent. He curled up his huge body and slept in the second-floor room that used to be his.

Even after Wang Mang's death, the old lady still kept Wang Mang's things and daily necessities right where he left them out of a sense of nostalgia.

The furnishings in Wang Mang's room were the sa as usual, but there was no dust anywhere in the room. Clearly, his grandmother often ca to his room to clean it.

After returning to his room, Wang Mang was filled with emotions. He finally felt the warmth of his forr ho.

After two months of living as a cold-blooded animal, Wang Mang had almost forgotten that he was once a human.

Fortunately, now that he had reunited with his family, he did not have to live like before.

Early the next morning.

Grandma personally cooked a few delicious dishes for Wang Mang to eat.

However, Wang Mang was exasperated to find that this food was completely unpalatable to him now.

Not only did his sense of taste reject his grandmother's cooking, the food could not even provide him with any evolution points.

Therefore, Wang Mang had no choice but to tell his grandmother the truth. He said that he liked to eat live prey.

Grandma thought for a mont and felt that Wang Mang was right. How could a python eat rice?

Moreover, her grandson might even beco an immortal in the future, right?

He was already a snake demon, after all!

That was right. In the old lady's eyes, her grandson, Wang Mang, had already turned into a huge python, yet he could still speak human language. That clearly ant he was a snake demon.

Hence, the old lady thought for a mont and asked Wang Mang, "In that case, should I buy you so live chickens and ducks?"

Wang Mang imdiately shook his head and said, "Grandma, it's fine. I can go without food for a long ti after eating. It won't be a problem even if I don't eat for half a month."

Seeing that Wang Mang hurriedly refused, the old lady thought for a mont and did not force the matter. "Alright, my boy. When your father cos, I'll talk to him."

Hearing this, Wang Mang nodded. He still needed his father's help to beco stronger!

In the afternoon, Wang Mang's parents arrived.

How did Wang Mang know?

He could hear the sound of a car approaching from miles away.

Through the window, Wang Mang saw his parents, who he had not seen for two months, walking over with so supplents.

Soon, Grandma went down to open the door.

When his parents walked into the room and saw the haggard old lady, they felt even guiltier.

Ever since their son passed, the old lady had been depressed, her health deteriorating every day.

Yet for so reason, she made them rush back ho today.

They knew that the old lady was not in good health, so they ca back in a hurry.

"Mom, are you alright?" Wang Long asked worriedly, and so did Li Juan.

Hearing this, the old lady shook her head, looking at her son and daughter-in-law. She said slowly, "Go upstairs! My grandson wants to see you."

Mr. and Mrs. Wang were stunned. They looked at the old lady in shock.

Wang Long could not help but worry. "Mom, don't overthink things. If Mang'er were still alive, he would want nothing but the best for you."

"Shut up! Of course I know that my grandson wants the best for !" The old lady imdiately scolded him, "You unfilial son, do you think I'm going senile?"

Mr. Wang, "???"

Mrs. Wang: "╯▽╰."

They did not dare to say anything else and could only remain silent.

The lady explained everything to the two of them.

After hearing her story, Mr. and Mrs. Wang felt that she must be hallucinating.

She must be missing her grandson too much!

When she saw the looks on her son and daughter-in-law's faces, how could the experienced old lady not know what they were thinking?

Trembling with anger, she grabbed a feather duster from the side and swung it at Mr. Wang's head, cursing, "You... You unfilial son!"

At the sa ti, Wang Mang, who had heard the commotion, ca out of his room and arrived at the railing on the second floor.

Looking at the familiar figures of his parents downstairs, Wang Mang suppressed the excitent in his heart and shouted at his parents downstairs, "Dad, Mom! Grandma was telling the truth."

When they heard Wang Mang's familiar voice, both Mr. and Mrs. Wang froze.

He was their son, after all. How could they forget his voice?

They even thought that they were hallucinating!

However, when Mr. and Mrs. Wang looked up, they saw a spine-chilling scene that almost scared them witless.
