"Foolish, you lowly beings could never understand the existence that I beco when incarnated as a Nightmare Demon,"

Deep purple ripples undulated, shaking the space around them, and a voice filled with tepid mockery followed.

Upon hearing these words, not only did Wang Mang furrow his brows tightly, but even the two followers behind him showed faces of surprise.

Is this arrogance?

Even You Lv, who always managed his expressions carefully, couldn’t help but reveal a look of amusent.

There was no helping it, after all, his master was fiercely aweso!

Sure enough, a few monts later, Wang Mang let out a cold laugh, and a flash of scarlet light passed through his eyes.

A horrific aura began to faintly emanate from his body,

If Wang Mang had been a sleeping beast just monts prior, he now resembled a group of lions ready to strike!

An endless murderous aura gradually seeped from Wang Mang’s body.

This symbol that had erged from mountains of corpses and seas of blood!

With piercing eyes fixed on the source of the ripples, a rare look of seriousness appeared on Wang Mang’s face.

Perhaps sensing the volcanic, bubbling aura ready to erupt from Wang Mang, the Nightmare Demon refrained from further mockery.

However, the dark purple ripples in the sky grew more turbulent!

Clearly, both parties were serious now. Although they had not yet t face to face, the auras they emitted were clashing invisibly.

A murderous intent that reached for the heavens confronted a mysterious and formidable aura.

Both auras stood their ground, each radiating a majestic presence unique to its owner.

This was also the will of the aura’s masters!

The terrifying clash of auras continued, yet the space that bore them could no longer hold up and began to collapse rapidly.

Like a shattered mirror, cracks started to appear in the surrounding space.

Yet this minor disturbance would not stop either party.

After all, both had reached such a level that the collapse of space posed no threat whatsoever.

The two auras kept clashing, and the fracturing of space drew forth gusts of fierce wind.

Sharp winds surged, spreading outwards.

Dao runes erged around Wang You and King Lu, and they still stood firm in their original spots.

Soon, the space in that area vanished completely, revealing even deeper void beyond.

"How boring," Wang Mang said indifferently and then retracted his released aura.

Instantly, the dark purple undulations surged, rippling toward Wang Mang.

Faced with the oncoming dark purple waves, Wang Mang’s gaze hardened, and the power of the Great Dao that had been accumulating within his body erupted thunderously.

Five different strands of Great Dao power burst forth like a tidal wave, instantly dispersing the dark purple patterns that approached him.

Just as Wang Mang’s power of the Great Dao was about to reach the Nightmare Demon, the latter’s eyes suddenly shone with dazzling purple light.

Behind it, dreamlike, resplendent purple and black light surged violently, like a surge of purple qi rising from the east.

Slowly the purple qi churned around it, blocking the several strands of Great Dao power.

The mont the two magical powers collided, Wang Mang clearly felt his attack miss its mark.

However, his vision had deceived him.

What appeared before him was his own power of the Great Dao and the purple qi countering each other, mutually dissipating.

But through the feedback from the power of the Great Dao, Wang Mang could affirm that his attack hadn’t hit any solid target, not even feeling a hint of impact.

"Deceived again?" Wang Mang frowned, his eyes filled with confusion.

He didn’t understand why he had fallen into the opponent’s Illusion Technique so unexpectedly and without warning.

Just like Qing Yi, was this an Illusion Technique that needed no dium and could be cast across space?

Before Wang Mang could ponder any further, a burst of resplendent purple and gold light suddenly bore down on him!

So swift was its approach that Wang Mang only saw a blur before the purple and gold pillar of light was almost upon him!

Just as Wang Mang was preparing to swing the Slaughter Halberd to shatter this pillar of light, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind, causing him to stop his action.

"Behind you!" the remnant soul of an ancient god warned Wang Mang.

Hearing this, Wang Mang did not hesitate to turn and swing his halberd toward the direction behind him.

Bang!

A dull sound erupted, a great shockwave transmitted through the Slaughter Halberd into Wang Mang’s right arm.

Wang Mang’s complexion shifted, yet in his heart, he felt imnse relief.
