Chapter 367: Chapter 367: Shishi’s Life is More Important Now
Qiu Ying finally relented. Wan Chuni was overjoyed in her heart, but she didn’t show it on her face. She dramatically kowtowed, even hitting her forehead until it turned red. Only after catching a glimpse of Qiu Ying’s awkward expression did she stand up.
“Qiu Ying, you’re willing to help my Shishi, so you’re my biggest benefactor. I, Wan Chuni, will do anything for you in the future, even if it’s working like an ox or a horse.” Wan Chuni wiped away tears from the corners of her eyes and continued, “I only have this one baby daughter. The mont she was rescued, I thought, if anything happens to her, I wouldn’t want to live anymore.”
“What nonsense are you saying? There’s Lu Zi’an, and all of us here. How could anything happen to Shishi?” Qiu Ying held Wan Chuni’s hand, gently patting the back of it to comfort her.
Wan Chuni sobbed for a while longer before pretending to rember sothing. In a hoarse voice, she asked, “Still no contact with Jinghan? If Shishi has caused problems between you and your son, I… I… I’ll tell Shishi to back off…”
“What are you talking about? How could she affect anything? Jinghan is just busy with work. Once he finishes his project, we’ll have him co see Shishi. Don’t worry!” Qiu Ying had already made up her mind—tomorrow, even if she had to tie him up, she would drag Xiao Jinghan back.
If she didn’t push him to marry Shishi now, at the very least, he could co for a visit and offer a bit of comfort. That couldn’t be too much to ask, right?
At that mont, a nurse from Mo Shishi’s hospital room rushed out, looking alard as she found Wan Chuni. “Madam, please go in quickly. Sothing seems wrong with Miss Mo.”
“Shishi!” Wan Chuni’s expression turned exaggerated as she rushed toward the hospital room. Qiu Ying and Xiao Tingshen followed closely behind in a flurry.
Initially, Wan Chuni thought this was part of the plan she and Mo Shishi had agreed upon—to stir up so trouble at this critical mont and elicit more sympathy. But when she entered the room and saw the profuse bleeding, she was utterly shocked.
Mo Shishi had brought this upon herself. To make her act seem more convincing, she ignored the doctors’ and nurses’ warnings and forcibly tore off the dical equipnt attached to her.
Her reckless actions, combined with her lack of expertise, ultimately left her in this dire predicant.
Once again, Mo Shishi was rushed into the ergency room.
This ti, Lu Zi’an had to personally perform the surgery. Before entering the operating room, he stepped out to address the Mo Family mbers and Wan Chuni. Furrowing his brows, he said, “I’m sorry, but Shishi’s uterus must be removed.”
“What?” Wan Chuni’s face turned deathly pale, and her legs gave out as she dropped to her knees.
How could this be? How could it have escalated to needing her uterus removed? They had planned everything so carefully—it was just supposed to be a staged miscarriage!
Now that her uterus would be gone, what would happen to her daughter in the future?
Seeing Wan Chuni’s devastated state, Lu Zi’an sighed. “She tore at the equipnt and injured her uterus. The damage is irreversible. If we don’t remove it, her life will be at risk.”
“But if you remove it, what will she do? She’s still so young.” This ti, Wan Chuni’s tears were genuine.
She had a sinking feeling, as if she’d set a trap for herself. Out of all the plans she could’ve made, why did she choose this one?
What would they do now? Her Shishi was still so young.
“Chuni, Shishi’s life is more important right now. Let Zi’an perform the surgery,” Old Mr. Mo made a decisive call, giving Lu Zi’an a firm look.
Lu Zi’an turned and re-entered the operating room.
The removal surgery lasted three full hours. mbers of the Mo Family and Mr. and Mrs. Xiao waited anxiously in the hospital corridor.
Around four in the afternoon, Mo Shishi finally opened her eyes.
She didn’t want to speak. During the surgery, she had overheard them discussing it—they were going to remove her uterus. She would never be a mother. Her life was ruined.
All of this was Xiao Jinghan’s fault. It was because he didn’t love her. It was because he had fallen for that slut, Ye Weiwei.
