Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Taking You to the Set Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Taking You to the Set The man, upon hearing her, slowly opened his ink-black eyes, his thin lips curling up slightly as he spoke in a dreamy, mumbling manner, “Good night, Weiwei.”

Those four words seed magical, instantly dispelling the gloom in Ye Weiwei’s heart. She took a deep breath, blinked, and muttered to herself, “Forget it, why am I even arguing with a sleepwalking drunk.”

After saying that, she closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep…

Once the little woman in his arms truly relaxed, Xiao Jinghan finally eased the tension he felt. He lowered his head to kiss her forehead, nose, and even her lips, holding her tightly in his arms…

The next morning, Ye Weiwei and Xiao Jinghan woke up at the sa ti. However, Xiao Jinghan didn’t dare to open his eyes first; he waited until Ye Weiwei went to wash up before sitting up from the bed.

Over at Ye Weiwei’s place, she was preparing breakfast.

The eggs had just been fried when her phone rang.

It was Ke Xin.

“Weiwei, be at the set by ten o’clock, don’t be late,” Ke Xin reminded.

Ye Weiwei frowned slightly, glancing at the vintage wall clock, “Wasn’t it supposed to be after eleven? Why has it been moved up?”

“It’s because our award-winning actress proposed it. Plus, this morning, photos of the actress on a date with Jiang Che surfaced on Weibo, and the set is buzzing. Ms. Ye said she wants to co to the set and explain to the fans.”

Explain?

Ye Weiwei laughed, she didn’t believe Ye Chuchu wanted to explain anything. That innocent and pure lotus blossom tactic, she probably wanted to make it sound even more ambiguous and lead everyone astray.

“Anyway, as soon as she opens her mouth, it’s bad news for us. My house is three hours away from the film city. I’m already in the car. You have a child, make arrangents for the child, and don’t be late!”

“Mmm, I understand. See you on set.” Ye Weiwei said, hanging up the phone.

Ke Xin’s apartnt is a three-hour drive from the film city, she isn’t in a much better situation.

And they say to be there by ten, but as a mber of the makeup crew, they need to be at the set by nine-thirty.

It’s already seven-thirty; she needs to get ready to leave now.

Seeing Ye Weiwei hastily packing up again, Xiao Jinghan, holding his daughter, asked puzzledly, “What’s happening?”

Ye Weiwei was combing her hair as she explained, “The ti to go to the set has been moved up, I won’t have ti for breakfast.”

“What ti?” Xiao Jinghan looked at his watch.

“They said ten, but per the rules, I need to be there by nine-thirty.” Ye Weiwei finished her hair in a bun and turned around to find clothes in the wardrobe.

After picking an outfit, she rembered sothing and popped her head out again, “Mr. Xiao, are you free during the day? If you are, could you look after Xixi for ? If not, I’ll take her to the studio.”

“I’m free.” He finished speaking, and Xiao Jinghan’s ssage was sent, while he whispered sothing to the little girl, prompting her to quickly go change.

When Ye Weiwei ca out, Xiao Jinghan and the little girl were also neatly dressed.

Ye Weiwei was startled, “Where are you two going?”

“To drop you off at the set,” Xiao Jinghan said confidently as he picked up the little girl.

“No need, I can take the subway, I’ve already tid it,” Ye Weiwei didn’t want Xiao Jinghan and the child tagging along.

“The subway is too crowded, are you sure your makeup box won’t be damaged?” Xiao Jinghan pointed at the silver makeup box that had been dented from a collision.

Ye Weiwei bit her lip, took a deep breath, “Alright then.”

In the end, she, Xiao Jinghan, and the little girl all got into a van together.
