Noelle Sutton exited the page.

She didn’t read the text description.

But the image of Sophie Hughes’s long, straight black hair was seared into her mind.

She also had long, straight, jet-black hair.

In monts of passion, Tristan Lawson loved to play with her hair. He would tell her how beautiful it was, how lovely...

So things truly couldn’t stand up to scrutiny.

For seven long years, if only she had paid a little more attention, she might have known everything long ago.

Noelle Sutton’s throat felt tight, as if she were suffocating.

Love truly blinds you, makes you a moth to a fla.

Tristan Lawson couldn’t get in touch with Noelle Sutton.

However, he had asked Mrs. Miller when Noelle left, checked the possible flights she could have taken, and gone to the airport in advance.

In the tifra he’d estimated, there were only two flights.

He waited until the second flight arrived, but there was still no sign of Noelle.

Tristan Lawson’s brow was tightly furrowed.

When he and Sophie Hughes had rushed over, his grandfather had been perfectly fine.

He knew what was going on, so he didn’t press the issue.

Since they were already here, and Joshua Lawson wanted to co too, he thought he’d take this opportunity to have his grandfather et Noelle.

If his grandfather saw Noelle and witnessed how respectful they were to each other as a married couple, he would naturally stop making comnts in the future.

So, his grandfather was also looking forward to Noelle’s arrival and had prepared a al at ho.

Sophie Hughes called him.

"Tristan, have you picked up Noelle yet?"

"No."

Sophie sounded a little worried. "She can’t speak. Do you think sothing happened to her?"

"No!"

That was the last thing Tristan Lawson wanted to happen, and his voice was stern.

Sophie Hughes was taken aback for a mont.

She quickly said, "Sorry, I was just a little worried about Noelle. I shouldn’t have said that."

Only then did Tristan realize he had been a bit harsh.

"I didn’t an to bla you. She can’t speak, but she understands English."

When Noelle goes out, she carries a pen and paper with her.

If she doesn’t want to write, she’ll type on her phone.

"Tristan, why don’t you call Mrs. Miller, or have your secretary check her exact flight information."

"Okay."

"I’ll hang up then, so I don’t take up any more of your ti."

Tristan Lawson ended the call with Sophie Hughes and imdiately dialed Secretary Shaw.

"Quick, check if my wife booked any flights."

Tristan put his phone away, his eyes still fixed on the exit as he waited for Secretary Shaw to get back to him.

About half an hour later, Secretary Shaw called back.

"CEO Lawson, I’ve checked. Your wife hasn’t booked any outbound flights recently."

Tristan Lawson’s expression turned utterly grim.

He had ordered wedding dresses for her.

Both Chinese and Western styles, he’d arranged for everything.

He had even booked the best photography studio and ticulously planned a destination wedding photoshoot itinerary.

And she stood him up.

’Fine. Just fine.’

’She could forget about him ever taking wedding photos with her again in this lifeti.’

Tristan Lawson hung up and left the airport imdiately.

Noelle searched online for a while but couldn’t find any shop that could repair the sound-emitting necklace.

The device was just too niche.

Plus, it required the addition of AI functionality, so she was almost certain it was a custom-made piece.

And custom-made items were even harder to track down.

With no other options, she finally decided to contact Wyatt Yates.

Director Ford’s exhibition was the next day. She had bought a ticket and returned to Glenwater.

After getting off the train, it was around dinnerti, so she sent a ssage to Wyatt Yates, inviting him to a al.

Wyatt Yates replied to her quickly.

When Noelle was choosing a place, she ultimately decided on Myre River Pavilion.

She had seen the fireworks show already.

It wasn’t as beautiful as she had imagined.

The obsession she once had with dining at Myre River Pavilion and watching the fireworks with her beloved was gone.

Now, Myre River Pavilion was just a place to eat.

’I have to face this calmly and completely remove Tristan Lawson from my world.’

Noelle went straight from the station to Myre River Pavilion.

Just as she arrived at the entrance of Myre River Pavilion, she received a ssage from Wyatt Yates.

[The Little Mute, I’m waiting for you on the top floor.]

Noelle took the elevator up. As soon as she walked into the main hall, she saw Wyatt waving at her.

She walked over and sat down across from Wyatt Yates.

"The Little Mute, what do you feel like eating? I have no idea if your tastes have changed now that you’re grown up. Why don’t you order?"

Wyatt Yates handed the nu to Noelle.

Noelle pushed the nu back to him, signing gracefully, "I’m treating you, so it should be based on your preferences. You order."

"Whether you order or I order, isn’t it all the sa? You know I’m not a picky eater."

Wyatt still gave the nu back to Noelle.

In truth, Wyatt Yates had changed.

He was no longer that street punk who loved to fight and whose father was unknown.

Perhaps because of his experiences as a youth, he still had a hint of a roguish air about him. But he had transford into a noble young master, acquiring a calm and elegant disposition.

Since it was difficult for Noelle to communicate, she didn’t push it back and forth with him any longer.

She placed the order.

In her seven years of marriage to Tristan Lawson, she had learned many of the etiquette rules a wealthy wife was expected to know.

She knew how to order properly in a high-end restaurant like this.

It was just that Tristan Lawson never took her to any events, so no matter how much she learned, there was never an opportunity to use it.

While they were waiting for the food, Noelle took out the diamond necklace and signed apologetically, "I’m sorry, I accidentally broke the hidden speaker inside. The sound-emitting function is useful for soone like who can’t speak, but it’s useless to anyone else. It’s still a perfectly fine necklace, though."

Noelle handed the necklace to Wyatt Yates.

Wyatt quickly took the necklace and said, "It’s fine. I’ll send it back for repairs."

Noelle quickly waved her hands. "Wyatt, you’re lying to . I looked at it closely. Those are real diamonds on it, not fakes. I can’t accept such an expensive gift from you."

Wyatt held the necklace, his fingertips tightening slightly. He looked at Noelle and asked in a low voice, "Are you afraid Tristan Lawson will find out?"

Noelle shook her head.

"If that’s not it, then why can’t you accept it? We’re friends, neighbors, and classmates. We haven’t seen each other in years. Why can’t you accept a gift from ?"

Wyatt was getting a little emotional. He let out a breath, calming himself, and softened his tone. "Just think of it as compensation for how I used to bully you."

’These past few years, he’d been studying dicine and was close to figuring out a treatnt for aphonia.’

’He gave her this gift as a temporary solution.’

’He didn’t dare tell her yet that he had a way to cure her. He had to wait until the treatnt was fully tested and proven successful before telling her.’

’Otherwise, for soone who had been voiceless for so many years, it would be even more painful to have her hopes raised only to be let down.’

Noelle pursed her lips, unsure how to respond.

BOOM—BOOM—BOOM—

The sound of fireworks exploding filled the air.

Multicolored sparks had already risen into the sky.

They were rainbow-colored auspicious clouds...

In just over ten seconds, as far as the eye could see, massive clusters of these rainbow clouds cascaded downward like a waterfall.

Before Noelle even had ti to be amazed, a splash of wine hit her full in the face...
