Milly leaned forward slightly, her gaze steady as she asked, "So, what do you think?"

Watts let out a short laugh, shaking his head slightly. "I think you’re crazy," he said, his voice carrying a mixture of amusent and disbelief.

Milly sighed, leaning back into the couch as if she had expected that response but was still hoping for a different one.

"If you’re willing to consider our proposal, then perhaps you understand that so deals are less about gain and more about survival. Think about it, Watts. Sotis, the best way to free yourself from the past is to make a deal with it."

"Look," she continued, her tone becoming more serious now.

"Look, we know you have so unfinished business with the Order. They’re not just a group of thugs—they’re an organization built on ruthless tactics, dismantling any opposition with sheer brutality."

She paused, giving him a mont to let that sink in before continuing. "All we want is for you to work with us on this one operation, and then we can finally get the Order off your ass."

Watts chuckled again, shaking his head, but this ti, it wasn’t out of amusent.

"All I see is a shitty deal," he said flatly. "I don’t see where I gain from it." His tone was calm, but firm. "I was going to take the Order off my ass anyway—sooner than you think. So..."

Milly just stared at him, unblinking. Watts t her gaze with equal intensity, neither looking away nor breaking eye contact. They sat like that, locked in an unspoken challenge, both refusing to back down.

Then, the door creaked open, breaking the mont of tension.

The Captain stepped in, his sharp eyes scanning the room as he imdiately picked up on the heavy atmosphere lingering between the two.

He paused for a brief second, clearly debating whether or not to say anything, before finally addressing Milly.

"Your ti is up, ma’am" he said simply, his voice carrying a neutral tone.

He didn’t wait for a response before turning around and walking back out, almost running, leaving the door slightly ajar behind him.

Milly exhaled, rubbing her temple lightly before refocusing on Watts.

"I’m sorry we won’t be able to talk much longer, but I need you to think about it," she said, her voice now softer, but still holding a determined edge. "What do you want for this to work?"

Watts smiled slightly, tilting his head as he observed her for a mont.

Then, he replied, "I’ll have to add a bit more to this for it to work out." He paused before continuing, "But first, I need more information on the deal."

He had read the docunts earlier—one glance was all it took for his Eyes of the Universe to absorb everything written within them.

The papers contained classified data regarding the rankings of different families across various colonies in the galaxy.

The classified data whispered of a vast network of alliances and betrayals—an intricate chess ga played across galaxies.

Watts couldn’t shake the feeling that this deal was just one move in a much larger ga, one where every piece, including himself, might be sacrificed.

However, the focus of the docunts was on the top eight families, their strengths, resources, and specializations.

The Mijjory family, the very sa one Milly belonged to, was ranked eighth on that list. That alone was surprising, considering their influence and wealth.

As he scanned the docunts with his Eyes of the Universe, Watts noted that the rankings weren’t just about wealth.

They asured influence, resource control, and covert political maneuvering.

The Mijjorys, though imnse in fortune, were stuck at number eight.

But what stood out even more was the reason why they were stuck in that position.

According to the docunts, the only thing preventing the Mijjory family from rising in the rankings was sothing the Order had in its possession.

Watts didn’t know exactly what that sothing was just yet. But if the Mijjory family was coming to him with a deal, it likely ant they wanted him to steal it.

He wasn’t going to agree to anything without knowing more.

For now, he needed answers.

Milly smiled behind her veil, her eyes gleaming with sothing between amusent and confidence.

"All we want you to do is act as bait, and we shall do everything else ourselves," she said, her smile widening as she observed Watts’ reaction.

Watts blinked, montarily stumped. He stared at her, waiting for so elaboration, but none ca.

"I’m sorry, what? Didn’t quite get you there," he said, eyes narrowing slightly.

Milly tilted her head ever so slightly, her amusent evident even with half of her face hidden.

"What? You thought we wanted you to steal it for us? Oh, co on. You’re still too weak for that. We already have a plan in motion, and all we lack is an opportunity."

Watts blinked a couple of tis, then chuckled softly, shaking his head in disbelief. "So... I’m the opportunity?" he asked, the sheer ridiculousness of the situation settling in.

"Exactly," Milly replied curtly.

For a mont, Watts said nothing. Then, out of nowhere, he laughed—a genuine, deep laugh full of irony and wonder.

"Wow. And here I thought I was an important part of so kind of secret covert mission like in the movies," he said, smirking as he leaned back slightly in his seat.

Milly, unfazed by his sarcasm, simply tilted her head and asked, "So, are we doing this or not?"

Watts took a deep breath, amusent fading into contemplation. "Where and when do you need ?" he asked, now turning serious.

"You will be inford when we are ready," Milly replied smoothly.

Watts frowned. "You do realize I also have a reason for coming to this city, right?"

Milly let out a small chuckle, the sound soft but carrying a hidden sharpness.

"I am sure your plans have everything to do with the Order, so..." She trailed off, smiling at him as if she were enjoying his thought process unraveling.

Watts stayed silent for a minute, his mind racing.

His super brain calculated at impossible speeds, formulating multiple scenarios, weighing risks and benefits.

But more than that, his luck—it was stirring, buzzing with excitent. That ridiculous, almost supernatural luck of his.

The kind that defied logic and reality itself. The kind that ant no matter what he did, things always turned out for the best.

And of course, with luck like his, falling into problems was never truly a problem. If anything, it was an opportunity in disguise.

Luck like this couldn’t let him die, not that it mattered since he was already immortal.

But it reminded him of Domino from Marvel—the way her probability manipulation made her untouchable, impossible to kill.

Things just happened to fall into place for her, just as they always did for him. Even the worst scenarios would bend to favor him. It was both a gift and a curse.

I an the woman could walk on street during a gun fight and no bullet would even co close to her.

Surely what are the chances that a stray bullet would find itself lodged in her head? Almost 90%.

It was almost a sure deal that one would get hit, but then her luck turns that probability to a near impossible occurrence. And she will walk right through the bullets without even a scratch

He tapped his fingers against his knee, glancing at Milly, who was still watching him intently, waiting.

Her eyes betrayed curiosity—perhaps even a little bit of impatience. She had expected pushback, maybe even anger. Instead, he was smiling.

Finally, Watts grinned widely. "You know what? I’m in," he said, leaning forward slightly.

Milly didn’t move, but he could feel the shift in the air, the subtle tension of expectation. She was waiting for the catch. And she was right to do so.

"I just have one tiny condition," he added, his smile widening even further.

Milly’s expression didn’t change, but sothing in her posture stiffened ever so slightly. "Tiny?" she repeated, as if the word itself tasted foreign coming out of her mouth.

Watts nodded, still smiling. "Tiny."

But the way he said it, and that unsettling smile, made her believe it wasn’t tiny at all.

To all the readers following along, thank you for being part of this journey. Your support ans everything!

.....................

I find it fascinating how Watts’ journey has evolved so far. He started as a mysterious and powerful individual, but as the story unfolds, his personality and motivations beco clearer.

His intelligence, enhanced abilities, and even his sense of humor add depth to his character, making him more than just a typical overpowered protagonist.

His interactions with others, especially Milly, show his ability to stay composed even when thrown into unexpected situations.

One interesting aspect is how the world around Watts reacts to him. He doesn’t seek attention, yet he keeps drawing it from powerful individuals and organizations.

The tension between him and the Order, as well as his current deal with the Mijjory family, adds an intriguing layer of conflict. The balance of action, mystery, and humor keeps the story engaging.
