"It's been a while since I entered your house. Hmm, it still looks clean. i sure knows how to do everything diligently. That I have to hand it to her," Yuro comnted as she surveyed the interior of the house after bringing Arion in.
She then took him to the dining hall and said, "Give a few minutes. I will cook up sothing light and tasty. It should guarantee to make you feel good."
"Mhm," Arion nodded. After Yuro left, Arion's expression beca pensive. Despite acting like nothing was wrong, his mind still had not recovered from the devastating ntal blow he received this morning.
However, now, instead of feeling hopeless, his desperation to beco a Defier only increased. He had lived a shitty life for the majority of his life in this life and the previous life.
He already had enough and couldn't help but feel tired of living like this. How long does he have to suffer like this, and why did he even deserve such a life?
'There must be another way...what the fuck was all that Origin Blood about then?' Arion now wondered if Aldress' Origin Blood was indeed a curse that seed to hold him back.
But then he felt that he wouldn't have been disabled before. At least yesterday, he was able to form a connection with Prana for the first ti in his life.
He felt that there was sothing he was missing, and there had to be a good reason why he wasn't able to connect with Prana. He again closed his eyes and desperately kept on trying.
However, besides the sll of an appetizing dish being picked up by his nose, he felt nothing.
He opened his eyes, feeling frustrated, but the sll of the food indeed made him feel hungry. He realized he had not eaten much this morning due to his excitent.
Yuro ca out with a smile with a sizzling dish on her hands, "Arion, I am sure you will like it.
Fortunately, there was so at left, and I was able to make roasted atballs out of them. Tell how it tastes," She eagerly said as she placed the dish before Arion.
Arion involuntarily gulped since just by looking, he could sense how tasty this spicy dish would be. He slowly moved his hand over to the at fork kept beside the plate and decided to eat this tasty food to make himself feel better.
As the saying goes, 'Eat good, feel good.'
"Let cool it for you," Yuro said as she held his hand and brought her lips closer to his hand.
She opened her lips and blew over the atball in an alluring way, making Arion feel distracted for a mont seeing how seductive this woman's actions were. He wondered if he was the one having ridiculous thoughts or if she was doing this on purpose.
She slowly moved her gaze towards Arion and said, "Hmm, do you find this old woman pretty? Or is there sothing on my face?" Yuro chuckled.
Arion's face beca red as he quickly put the atball into his mouth and said while relishing its taste, "I was just thinking about sothing else."
Yuro offered a bemused smile, feeling it good to tease a youngster like Arion.
He felt it embarrassing that he got distracted by the actions of a woman as old as her. Even though she didn't look old, based on his previous life, she would be at least as old as a random grandma.
But then he thought that he didn't know how old i was. Since these people were all Defiers, it was hard for him to tell their true age, especially when they were hell-bent on keeping their looks.
However, he rembered that although i had a mature figure, her bearings were that of a young adult and didn't seem like a senior hiding behind the skin of a young woman. So, he felt that she wouldn't be 'old' at all.
He also felt it rude to ask i her age, wondering if she might misunderstand his question.
However, he rembered i having slightly immature features the first ti he saw her. So, he was quite confident about her age.
His romantic life wasn't great since he rembered that even his first girlfriend only stuck close to him because he was the young master of a big-shot family. She was only after his money.
After that, all his girlfriends only seed to get worse, and he kept breaking up one after the other after finding out that their intentions were totally sothing else other than love.
And his last girlfriend was the one who dropped the bomb on him by leaving him when he needed her the most. Since then, he never expected to have the so-called "true love" with any woman and considered such a concept completely unrealistic.
However, after coming to this world and seeing the angel-like i, the influx of emotions from his heart and mories made him feel like maybe he should give "true love" one more try.
But now, he wasn't in a state to think about such things. Such things didn't matter if he was still sitting in a wheelchair.
"Does it taste good?" Yuro asked as she leaned on the table.
"Mhmm...Aunt Yuro, I don't think you ever need to ask that question since the answer would be the sa as always...incredibly tasty," Arion said what he truly felt since the atballs indeed tasted as if they were made in heaven. He felt like he needed to pick up so cooking skills from her so that he can make these himself.
"Aww, you really know how to flatter a woman. Now" Yuro continued in a serious tone, "are you not going to tell what happened today?"
"What's going on here...this sll...ehh, who is this woman?" A puzzled and lazy voice sounded from behind.
Arion turned his head to see that it was Shun who walked out with a crutch while Yuro had a surprised look, not knowing there was soone else in the house.
