They returned to the kingdom, and just as Jake and Zunda arrived, they spotted around ten massive chas lifting a large, round object into the sky as they watched from atop a mountain. It was the artificial sun.
"T-That's it? It's kind of small," Jake comnted, squinting up at it as it rose.
"It might expand… but yeah, it's smaller than expected," Zunda replied, watching intently as the object ascended. As it reached the upper atmosphere, her vision started to blur—details becoming harder to make out. anwhile, Jake could still see everything clearly.
"I can see it all…"
Up in space, the device connected seamlessly with the previous system—one that had been blocking solar rays and cosmic radiation from reaching the red planet.
"I-It just linked up with the old sun blocker," Jake muttered.
"Really?! I wanna see it too!! Please!" Zunda whined, nudging him over and over. With a sigh, Jake placed a hand on her neck and began carefully channeling his Ki into her eyes.
"Focus your vision," he said.
Zunda nodded. Jake was using his Gyo technique on her behalf, guiding Ki precisely to avoid even the smallest mistake—since one slip could lead to blood poisoning.
"I can see it now!" she gasped.
They watched as the artificial sun began to expand, growing to the size of a small star. Slowly, the side facing the vampire planet lit up, glowing like dawn.
"It's acting both as a sun blocker and a light source," Zunda explained, her eyes wide with awe. "It filters out harmful radiation and converts solar energy into safe light for vampires. It basically leeches power from the main sun. Over ti, it'll increase its output—and it even has a built-in day-night cycle to give the tech ti to cool down and reset. It's all nanotech."
Jake blinked, scratching the back of his head. "None of that made sense to …"
Then suddenly, the entire vampire planet lit up. The gradual increase in brightness mimicked a sunrise—brighter than Earth's, but still soft enough to be called beautiful. Jake looked toward the vampire settlents and saw pure chaos. People were screaming and running for shelter as if Judgnt Day had arrived.
"I thought they announced this on TV and all dia outlets? That an artificial sun was being launched today to help us overco our major weakness?" Jake said, his brows furrowed.
"Haha, you can't expect them not to panic," Zunda laughed softly. "The sun's a trauma for us. For so long, we believed it was instant death. Even though so vampires survived brief exposure, it was rare. Most would turn to dust, especially at peak intensity. But now, with this tech, we're finally taking the first step toward adapting—maybe even evolving genetically to withstand the sun."
Jake nodded, then looked on in amazent as the sa terrified citizens began erging from their shelters, cautiously stepping into the light. When they realized the sun wasn't hurting them, their fear turned into joy.
Celebration erupted. Cheers filled the streets. People waved posters and banners reading *We love you, Prince Jake!* and *Prince Jake for King!* The adoration was overwhelming.
So citizens even began marching toward the palace, but they were intercepted by soldiers and gently redirected back to their hos.
Watching everything unfold, Zunda suddenly pulled Jake into a hug, burying her face in his chest.
"I wish you had reincarnated earlier and t . I would've had all my kids for you. I wouldn't have been forced into marriage… The vampires would've been leaps ahead in research. Thank you, Jake. Thank you for everything you've done. In just a few months, you've accomplished things we couldn't even manage in decades," she said, her voice trembling as tears of joy stread down her face.
Jake could feel the weight of her emotions. He gently ran his hand through her hair.
'What is this feeling?' he wondered. 'Aside from lust… I think I actually like Zunda. Like, a lot. I only ever get this emotional with Misty.'
"It's my duty to give my people the best," he said softly.
Zunda looked up at him with tear-stained eyes. "Then why don't you want to beco king?"
"We'll talk about that so other ti," Jake replied, brushing her hair back gently.
They stayed like that, in silence, wrapped in each other's arms. Their shadows stretched over the mountain, two figures quietly taking in the view and the cool breeze until the sun dipped below the horizon. Whatever Jake was feeling for Zunda—it wasn't sothing he could explain. It just… felt different.

The day had finally co. Jake was heading back to Earth.
The day before, he had visited Myra and Kira to apologize for being gone so long. Myra's baby bump was already visible, while Kira's pregnancy was still in its early stages. He made sure to set up warpers for them and explained how they worked. Myra was especially happy about the idea—knowing she could visit him anyti once all the coordinates were set brought her peace of mind.
'Even though I've set a warper here on the vampire planet… it wouldn't be fair to the others back on Earth if I didn't spend at least a week with them,' Jake thought as he made the final preparations.
He'd also installed a warper in Zunda's research facility per her request.
Jill and Stella had packed their luggage and stored it all inside a space ring. Gogo stood nearby, looking up at Jake with watery eyes, like he was about to cry. In the background, Guida hovered in her ethereal form, making faces and mocking Zamira.
"Hehe, look who's going to be lonely," Guida teased, sticking her tongue out. "Didn't you say I was going to be sealed away in sword form forever? Guess who's the loser now?"
"You're annoying," Zamira muttered, choosing to ignore her entirely.
That only made Guida more irritated.
anwhile, Jake knelt in front of Gogo and brought their faces close. "Don't worry. Zamira's going to take good care of you. And Carter will take you out to hunt so beasts too, okay?" he said gently.
Gogo wiped his tears and nodded.
"Hmph, we should just farm his crystal. You've gotten too soft, Master—"
"Alright, clearly you haven't learned your lesson," Jake said, cutting her off mid-sentence as he swiftly reverted Guida back into her sword form—Excalibur.
"Phew. Finally," Zamira exhaled and walked over, giving Jake one last kiss. "Don't take too long to co back to us," she said, speaking for both herself and Zagrath, who was currently away on a special mission.
At that mont, old man Duke also stepped in, offering his farewell.
"I'll miss you, lad. Don't keep us waiting," the old man said as he pulled Jake into a firm hug.
Just then, a car descended from the sky and parked in front of Jake's residence. The door opened, and Carter stepped out in his butler attire.
He gave a deep bow.
"It's ti, Your Highness."
