Amon took in the ring of curious faces around him and let out a low, satisfied laugh.
"Not bad at all, Miss Robin. Three items, and every single one of them is sothing special."
"Really?" Robin straightened slightly, the excitent she was trying to contain already showing around the edges.
"Absolutely. Let's start with the briefcase."
Amon reached in and produced the Da Vinci Super Spy Attaché Case, holding it up for everyone to see.
"Hm? What on earth is that thing? Looks rather peculiar," Kizaru said, tilting his head.
"Ahem." Amon cleared his throat with great ceremony. "This, gentlen, is the Super Spy Attaché Case, a masterwork from the hand of the legendary inventor Da Vinci himself."
"A masterwork from the legendary inventor Da Vinci?"
The na alone was enough to draw a collective gasp from the group. It sounded important and powerful even though they really didn't know who that was. The kind of thing that only appeared in myths and history books. Envy flickered quietly through the room as they reminded themselves that they had each only gotten one item from their jars, while Robin had pulled out three, all of them apparently extraordinary.
"Sounds like my luck isn't too bad after all," Robin said, still unsure of what the briefcase actually did, but willing to trust the energy Amon was putting into his introduction.
"What does it do, exactly?" Fujitora asked.
"Ahem. Glad you asked. The uses of this case are, in fact, nurous. First and most obviously, it functions as a briefcase, aning you can store things in it. It contains a compressed interior space, so no matter how many docunts or books you put inside, it never fills up."
Robin's eyes lit up at that.
"And second," Amon continued, his grin widening, "don't let the exterior fool you. The true purpose of this item is that it is, in essence, a portable chair."
He paused for effect.
"Watch."
He snapped the case open, drew out four segnted iron tubes from inside, and slotted them together. Then he sat down on the assembled fra, crossed one leg over the other, and settled back as the case's inner lid folded out automatically into a full backrest.
"Remarkable, isn't it? Not only can you carry your belongings inside it, but at any mont, anywhere you happen to be, you can have a proper seat waiting for you. Portable, practical, and completely indispensable for life on the road or at sea. Truly one of Da Vinci's finest contributions to the world."
Kizaru stared at him.
Fujitora said nothing.
Crocodarny's expression went flat.
Robin blinked once.
The silence that followed was from everyone present realizing at the sa mont that what they were looking at was, stripped of all the flourish, a chair. Just a chair. They had been braced for sothing that could level a battlefield, and instead the great inventor's masterwork was a folding seat with a built-in backrest.
The collective inner sigh was almost audible.
Robin, however, was the exception. She pressed a hand over her mouth and laughed. Amon noticed it with so surprise. Most people would have responded to this particular reveal with exasperation, and he had half expected the sa from her. But Robin apparently worked differently. She operated on her own frequency, and it suited her.
"It seed quite impressive for a mont there," she said, still smiling. "Could I try it?"
"Of course. It's yours."
Robin settled into the chair and the smile on her face shifted into content. "This is actually rather comfortable. And it massages?"
"Indeed it does. That's Da Vinci's genius at work," Amon said, continuing the performance without missing a beat.
She was a reader by nature, soone who spent long stretches sitting with books in whatever corner she could find. A case that could carry unlimited books and then unfold into a comfortable reading seat was exactly what she would have designed for herself. She leaned back, let the built-in massage work its way through her shoulders, and decided she liked it very much.
"Ha. This is growing on . Now I'm even more curious about the next one."
"Coming right up. The second item is this, the Beauty Elixir."
Amon produced a small pill and held it out toward the group.
Kizaru leaned forward imdiately. "A Beauty Elixir? And what strange thing is that?"
Fujitora and Crocodarny both tilted their heads in, equally curious.
"Now this one is the real treasure of the three. Less versatile than the briefcase in terms of functions, but infinitely more valuable in what it does." Amon kept his expression serious as he said it. "The Beauty Elixir, as the na suggests, beautifies. One pill, and your appearance is restored permanently to how you looked at twenty years old. Permanently. And beyond that, it refines the skin's very constitution, leaving it luminous and radiant in a way no ordinary treatnt could ever achieve. It is, without question, one of the most coveted items among won across countless worlds."
He delivered the whole thing in one smooth breath.
Fujitora and Kizaru exchanged a glance. Eternal youth and glowing skin. Neither of them had any particular feelings about their complexions, and the whole thing sounded more like a costics advertisent than sothing a grown man needed to get excited about. Their interest evaporated almost imdiately.
Crocodarny and Robin, however, were a different matter entirely.
Both of them went absolutely still.
"It can preserve your appearance? Permanently at twenty?"
For any woman, appearance was sothing deeply personal. For Robin, who was still young but had lived hard enough years to show for it, the idea of what this pill could do landed with real weight. Crocodarny, for her part, had only recently made her transition and was very much in the process of forming new priorities. The mont the words were out of Amon's mouth, her eyes had already fixed on the pill with an intensity that left very little to interpretation.
"Robin." Crocodarny's voice was sweet, but the urgency underneath it was unmistakable. "Let's talk about this. That elixir of yours, why don't you let your big sister have it? I'll give you a hundred million berries. No, a billion. Just na the price."
A billion berries.
Kizaru and Fujitora both turned slowly to stare at her.
For a beauty pill. A billion berries.
The two of them were still absorbing that when they noticed sothing even more staggering.
