Just as he was expecting to start his new day with a new job, albeit a temporary one, Alex walked through the company’s grand entrance with great confidence.
What Alex did not know was that this critical information of his joining the company today had reached the very ears of each and every important person in the company.
Unexpectedly, sohow last night the news that there was a new person who was coming to the company and he was also happened to be the boss’s only daughter’s boyfriend had spread throughout the entire company like wildfire.
The gossip network was remarkably efficient in making it sure that it is well known.
Everyone knew that Riya was the only child of Mr. Raghavan who was a CEO controlling billions in assets.
She represented a true example of a wealthy and beautiful woman, a dream woman of every man!
So during the working hours when the company elevator was bustling with morning activity, as soon as Alex entered the elevator everyone fell into imdiate silence upon seeing the handso and unfamiliar face.
At once they knew who he was. The description had been accurate in doing it.
After all honestly if we have to talk about it, Alex was simply too handso to be mistaken for anyone else.
He was impeccably dressed and tall with dashing features that seed almost sculpted by the hands of a artisan or God in his free ti.
The mont he appeared he beca the focus of the entire gathering, a magnetic presence that commanded attention without effort wherever he goes.
Even his casual movents had grace in it.
At once they all took out their phones and began texting each other on their company WhatsApp unofficial group. The ssages flew rapidly in the groups.
The elevator doors slid shut with a quiet chanical hum in them.
The confined space suddenly felt smaller with the weight of so many curious stares bearing down from all directions on him.
Alex stood near the front, facing the ascending floor numbers, unaware of the storm of ssages being exchanged behind his back with great intensity.
Fingers flew across phone screens at remarkable speed, thumbs dancing across keyboards with practiced precision born of years of office gossip.
The silence in the elevator was deafening which were broken only by the occasional muted ping of incoming ssages that people had forgotten to silence by mistake.
Each ping made soone wince.
The employees texted among themselves.
They could not contain their discussion or their overwhelming curiosity about this mysterious newcor who looked like he stepped straight out of a movie.
"Who is this man? I have never seen him before. He is extraordinarily handso."
"He is genuinely handso indeed. Better looking than many top male celebrities I can think of."
"You people are completely out of the current affairs I think, otherwise you would have known this already! This handso man is the chairman’s only daughter’s boyfriend."
"Wow! Are you serious? How did she find such a handso man?"
Upon hearing this shocking news, everyone’s eyes which were down after a mont of surprise were once again widened with disbelief hearing this ground-breaking revelation that changed everything.
They all looked at Alex with new appreciation and understanding. The pieces clicked into place.
Male employees felt worship and admiration coursing through them. He had achieved what they could only dream about.
Female employees felt envy mixed with a strange sense of validation that such n actually existed.
While they were earlier surprised, they were only so because of his extraordinarily handso face, but now they only felt deep appreciation towards him and his remarkable achievent in winning over the notoriously selective heiress.
"So it was him. The one who managed to win the chairman’s daughter’s heart. That is quite an achievent considering how selective she is known to be."
"Yes, I also saw how she is extrely willful, she never obey her father at all."
"As expected of a wealthy and beautiful won they always have such handso boyfriends. It’s like a law of nature."
"I am envious beyond asure. What does he have that I don’t? Besides the obvious of course."
"I feel the sa way. Life isn’t fair sotis. Why wasn’t I born with that face? WHY?"
The employees whispered among themselves continuously through their digital channels. They might feel envious but worship was worship, and respect was undeniably deserved for this accomplishnt.
The elevator continued its steady climb with chanical precision.
Floor after floor passed in what felt like slow motion to so passengers.
Usually people would exit at various levels going about their business, but today everyone seed content to ride longer than necessary, stealing glances and soaking in the presence of this celebrity-like figure.
The opportunity was too rare to miss.
A woman who should have gotten off at the fifth floor pretended to check her phone intently, scrolling through nothing in particular, delaying her exit with obvious intent to observe longer.
A man whose office was on the seventh floor suddenly rembered he needed to go to the tenth floor instead, fabricating errands in his mind with impressive creativity.
With envy and worship ca the realization that they reached unanimous consensus imdiately. They absolutely must not offend this future son-in-law under any circumstances!
Even the thought of making him move might leave a bad impression on him. They did not want to risk even that slight possibility of causing displeasure.
The elevator chid softly as it passed another floor with its characteristic bell tone. Alex shifted his weight slightly, adjusting his stance for comfort.
This small movent caused a ripple effect throughout the cramped space. Several people stepped back slightly, creating more space around him as if he occupied a protective bubble that should not be breached under any circumstances whatsoever.
Alex blinked with slight confusion about all the attention that was being directed at him, although they were subtle yet unmistakable signs.
While none were looking at him directly and were seemingly engrossed on their phones with great concentration, he could not help but feel that they were talking about him, discussing him in hushed digital whispers.
Sothing felt different about this elevator ride too. None of them were leaving the lift even when the doors opened several tis at different floors inviting exit.
Well, none of my concern but still... he wondered if perhaps he had sothing on his face or if his outfit was sohow inappropriate for the office environnt he was entering. Maybe his tie was crooked?
Alex resisted the urge to check his reflection in the elevator’s tallic walls.
Instead, he focused on the ascending numbers, counting down the floors until he could escape this peculiar situation and finally begin his first day properly without all these strange stares.
----------
After exiting the elevator Alex arrived at his designated departnt step by step. Wherever he passed he turned heads without trying.
First he proceeded to the office to report to his marketing director. The door was already open.
He was t with an aged face that spoke of experience and wisdom at a glance. The wrinkles told stories.
The Director whose na was Divansh knew that Alex represented the future son-in-law of Mr.Raghavan and may be the future heir of the Company too.
Therefore upon seeing Alex Divansh beca trendously enthusiastic imdiately. His entire deanor shifted.
He grasped Alex’s hand warmly with both hands. His face bead with genuine smiles while welcoming Alex’s arrival with exaggerated hospitality.
"Haha welco welco! We are so honored to have you!"
"Take this...this is premium Darjeeling tea from my private collection specially reserved for important guests. I love it personally, hope it will suit your refined taste well.
Drinking it in the morning will refresh your mind beautifully too. The aroma alone is therapeutic."
Director Divansh asked Alex to sit on the comfortable leather sofa. He personally brewed tea for him with careful attention.
His attitude was polite and greatly flattering trying heavily to please him as he knew pleasing him however shaful that might seem would help him in the long run.
Career advancent required sacrifices to dignity after all.
Throughout the company it was not wrong to say that more than ninety percent of employees knew about Alex’s special status already.
The gossip had been thorough in making it clear who was he to all who are active within those social circles.
However there were also unexpected situations like this one currently unfolding.
One of the managers who was extrely unpopular in social circles of the company happened to be completely unaware of Alex’s identity and significance.
He happened to enter the director’s office without knocking and witnessed Divansh being so polite and enthusiastic toward this young man he had never seen before.
He saw how the director was making tea personally and smiling obsequiously towards him like a servant attending royalty.
Which stunned him a little...okay actually quite a lot. His mouth fell open slightly in shock and confusion at the bizarre scene unfolding before him.
