Kavya said happily "Then should we go for a walk in the nearby park together?"

"That sounds good. I just finished eating a large al so walking would be beneficial. I,mmt helps with digestion after eating," Alex did not refuse her suggestion, not noticing the strange look on Kavya’s face.

A girl is asking you to take a walk and all you care about is improving indigestion?

Are you for real??

---

Alex drove his electric scooter to a nearby public park for an evening walk with Kavya on the back.

This particular park was extrely lively and crowded today unexpectedly.

Many elderly ladies and elderly n were gathering here in large numbers.

Today the atmosphere buzzed with another type of energy.

"Why is it so lively here?" Alex wondered aloud.

Alex felt confused and suspicious.

Looking up ahead in the distance he could see these elderly n and won behaving as though they were attending so kind of marketplace.

It was an unusual sight for a park in the evening.

Furthermore they all shared another distinctive odd thing today.

Many people were carrying umbrellas despite the clear evening weather.

The sky was perfectly cloudless with no sign of rain anywhere.

Looking more carefully Alex observed that these elderly n and won had placed their umbrellas on the ground.

Attached to each umbrella were nurous sheets of paper.

The papers not only displayed nas but also included detailed personal information and contact numbers of individuals.

So even had photographs attached, carefully laminated to protect them.

Alex was stunned by this discovery. He could not help but drive his bike up to an elderly lady to ask

"Excuse , Grandma but what are all of you doing here?"

The elderly lady responded as though it were the most obvious thing in the world. "We are selling our daughters and sons of course."

"What?" Alex was completely stunned.

Selling daughters?

Selling sons?

Was that not a serious cri? His eyes widened in shock at this casual admission.

"Look more carefully. This is the matchmaking corner of the park," Kavya who was sitting in the back seat of the scooter could not help but laugh at Alex’s confused expression. His innocence was too lethal for a young heart of the girl.

She on the way of her journey here had gotten to know him better and unexpectedly the more she knew about him the more she was liking him.

He was truly funny, surprisingly humble despite his wealth, and refreshingly unaware of his own appeal to won like her. This combination was dangerously attractive.

Alex felt foolish and turned to examine the scene more carefully.

He discovered that it genuinely was a matchmaking corner!

This elderly woman’s umbrella displayed a paper sheet with detailed information about her daughter. The presentation was surprisingly professional.

The information read sothing like:

Native Mumbai resident.

33 years old.

Bachelor’s degree holder.

Height 165 centiters.

Weight 68 kilograms.

Works for a foreign company.

Monthly salary 60,000 dollars.

Requirents for potential husband: Must own house and car in Mumbai. Must be over 180 centiters tall. Must have annual salary of no less than 3 million dollars.

"Good heavens!" Alex gasped.

"Are these requirents truly so extrely high?"

Alex took a sharp breath and felt absolutely stunned.

These requirents for the man were far too excessive and demanding! The disparity between what was offered and what was demanded seed astronomical.

Alex had heard previously that there were matchmaking corners in parks throughout all major cities.

However seeing this phenonon now with his own eyes was truly an eye-opening experience. The reality was far more intense than any description.

These elderly n and won gathered here on behalf of their sons and daughters to conduct what could only be described as "next generation breeding programs." Tm

"Auntie not only do you require a house and car in Mumbai but you also demand an annual salary of more than 3 million dollars.

According to the conditions you have listed here for your daughter are your requirents for a son-in-law not sowhat excessively high?"

Alex could not help but voice his complaint.

He genuinely wanted to know what made this elderly lady so suprely confident.

The requirents were written with such brazen boldness and absolute certainty.

The elderly woman held her head high with trendous pride.

She pointed at the words "native resident" and declared loudly with unmistakable superiority in her voice.

"Look here! My daughter is a native Mumbai resident! She possesses native resident status!"

Alex suddenly understood and nodded with acknowledgnt.

"So that is how it works I see."

It had always been said that native residents of Mumbai were extraordinarily arrogant about their status. The local pride was legendary.

Now that he witnessed it personally he could confirm this was absolutely true. The sense of awe was to be expected.

Kavya could not help but whisper in his ear "Having such a demanding mother ans this elderly lady’s daughter will never be able to get married. My own mother would not dare to list such excessive conditions." Her breath tickled his ear as she spoke.

Alex smiled knowingly. "So that is why you could not find a partner before this?"

Kavya muttered defensively "It is because I am a hobody by nature! I draw comics for a living so I usually stay at ho. My social circle is extrely limited and I do not know many people." She felt the need to explain herself properly.

At this mont Kavya’s facial expression suddenly changed dramatically.

"I need to go to the bathroom imdiately. I have a terrible stomachache!"

"Go ahead then."

Alex did not waste any words. He escorted her to the public restroom in the park.

"Just send a ssage when you finish using the restroom. I will be walking around this park area for a bit." He wanted to explore this fascinating social phenonon further.

Kavya nodded repeatedly without saying another word. She plunged desperately into the restroom, her face pale with discomfort.
