Catherine’s face drained of color completely after her exposure of her true intentions by Alex to Riya.

Panic flashed across her eyes, and words began to tumbled out in a stuttering ss after that.

Because she knew very well that if she did not clear the misunderstanding soon and Riya happened to took those words back to her father than Mr. Raghavan would have her thrown out of the company without any hesitation.

Mr. Raghavan dotes on her daughter too much if even she didn’t have such intentions in the first place, she will be still fired on Riya’s one word.

She was just a secretary after all, one is his daughter and other is a nobody choice can’t be anymore easier to make for Mr. Raghavan.

And yet that were circumstances if she didn’t do any wrong but Catherine is no innocent she being a secretary and yet she to dared to plot her way into a billionaire’s household, even dreaming of becoming the young lady’s stepmother?

Utterly wishful thinking and completely delusional to say the least.

"Miss Raghavan, please it’s not like that, let explain. I really never had that kind of thought in my mind," Catherine stamred out words, desperately trying to save her face.

Deep down, though, she knew the truth how much Mr. Raghavan adored his only daughter, and he valued Riya’s opinions above all else.

Winning over Riya had always been the key to her plan to success to beco close like a trusted confidante, then slowly use that position to capture Mr. Raghavan heart in one single decisive strike anyhow by hook or crook.

But now, that carefully crafted plan that she had made by rising day and night had just gone up in smoke in air ruined completely by Alex of all people, by the very sa man she despised just now.

"You—!" Riya’s eyes widened in fury at her now. "You actually wanted to seduce my dad?! How bold!!"

Even with her usually gentle nature that wouldn’t break by anything, she couldn’t hold back her anger this ti.

Because really you think what woman could stay calm hearing sothing like that?

A secretary who is nothing but an outsider is plotting to marry her father?

It is as clear as the skies that she is shalessly scheming not only for the family fortune but also daring to imagine herself of becoming her stepmother for life!

Who gave her the courage to even think about it??

What kind of audacity was that?

No daughter on earth could tolerate it not to ntion Riya being the pride girl she is.

Riya suddenly stood up from her seat at the table, snatched the the water glass from the table, and splashed it straight across Catherine’s in the face.

"Splash!"

The heavy makeup that she had sared himself into instantly dissolved quickly spiraling into a complete ss.

Her carefully drawn brows ran black, mascara is stread down her cheeks, and the thick foundation that she had done it caked into streaks down her face.

Within seconds, her once flawless face looked like a wilted flower left out in the rain.

Gone was the beautiful face instead it is replaced by a face that could not be anymore ugly than it is.

"Ah!" Catherine shrieked in fright, hurriedly fumbling for the tissues to wipe and hide her face, but no matter how hard she try to, the damage was done already with no chance of undoing it anymore.

Her once glamorous image was gone, instead it was replaced with a pitiful and blotchy ss of costics.

"Miss Raghavan, please! Listen to ! I’m really not that kind of person that this person is saying to you," she begged, scrambling to defend herself even as her makeup lted.

"You misunderstood Miss this ti. I was only kidding about it don’t take it too seriously, yes it’s a joke!"

"A joke?" Riya’s eyes burned with anger. "That’s your idea of a joke? It is quite clear that you wanted nothing but to seduce my father from long ago and climb into his bed, say am I wrong??"

Her voice was quickly turning icy as she warned, "Listen, I am not a unjust person here is my advice for you:

Quickly leave my dad’s company imdiately.

Otherwise... don’t bla for what happens to you next."

Without another glance after giving her ultimatum at the disgraced secretary, she grabbed hold of Alex hand saying.

"Brother Alex, let’s go from here. We will eat sowhere else but not here."

With hand in hand, the two left the Italian restaurant and walked into another nearby restaurant.

Once they were seated on their seats, Riya leaned closer, still fuming about it but also grateful of knowing about it early than it is too late.

"Brother Alex, it’s all thanks to you that I found out about this incident today otherwise I would have never known that there was such a scheming person around my dad.

When I will get ho, I will definitely tell my dad everything about it.

He needs to know exactly what kind of person that secretary really is."

Alex chuckled and with a light tone he said. "Haha, you have handled it pretty well there yourself.

If that didn’t happened today, I might have never seen that face of yours, and honestly that was too captivating."

Riya blushed at that complint, her cheeks turning red with happiness.

Anyway let’s forget about that Brother Alex, let tell you about so of the strange things I’ve run into lately..."

Soon Alex couldn’t extricate himself from her small talks completely lost in the mont.

In that mont, sothing clicked in his mind.

Maybe it was not that bad that he felt a sudden impulse to visit that old restaurant.

Although there are so incidents but overall it is not a bad experience.

"Alex...Alex ... are you even listening?"

"Oh, sorry zood out a little bit over there, so what are saying...."
