June 9th, Sunday, 6:57 AM.

Zayden couldn’t sleep.

How could he...?

It’s only been a few hours since he beca a supernatural being and gained the title of [Baron].

There are also those specters wandering the earth. God knows what kind of danger they represent.

Another thing is the second moon; that must hide a great secret... Perhaps the ’Gods’ live there?

Was Odin real? And who knows, maybe Zeus?

What is rely fantasy, and what is real?

The more he thought, the more confused he beca, and the more doubts arose, leaving him sleepless.

Opening the window curtain, he saw a clear sky with very few clouds.

So far, he hadn’t seen anything abnormal.

’I need to check.’

...

Wearing a gray t-shirt, dark blue pants, and black sneakers, he went out.

"Good morning, Zayden-sama."

As soon as he entered the elevator, the operator who ran the elevator recognized him and greeted him.

"Good morning, Tomas-san." Zayden greeted him back.

"Parking lot?" He asked.

"Yes, please."

Tomas clicked on B2.

...

In the garage, Zayden had just gotten into the car when he received a ssage.

Erika: [Good morning, Zayden-kun ❤️. Awake?]

He replied: [Good morning, I’m awake, yes.]

Erika: [Perfect!! It’s about our date... Is it okay to et at 1:00 PM at Lake Square?]

Zayden: [No problem. See you at one in the afternoon?]

Erika: [Can’t wait~❤️!]

Erika: [Seal of a kitten sending lots of kisses]

Putting the smartphone away, he started driving.

After leaving the garage, entering the highway via the main road.

On the highway, at 100 km/h, he didn’t see any strange creatures after about 20 minutes of aimless driving.

’So, those beings are nocturnal?’

"Huh?!"

Suddenly, sothing stepped in front of his car.

The car skidded on the asphalt as he slamd on the brakes.

A sll of burning tires rose as he braked.

*BEEP! BEEP!!!*

Behind him, a car honked loudly.

He didn’t care; Zayden was more concerned about what he almost hit, only to nearly bulge his eyes out when he realized it looked like an animal from a zombie movie.

A pair of antlers like a moose, a head sowhat resembling the shape of a horse, corpse-gray skin, and a deford face as if it had been molded by a two-year-old child.

There was a small number [3] above the monster’s head—a marker Zayden recognized from his new vision.

And, as if it didn’t see him, this... monster?

Anyway, this creature simply kept walking, passing through the wall that divided the two parts of the highway as if it weren’t tangible.

’A ghost?’

"Hey, you lunatic! Get off the road!"

A shout brought him back to reality.

There was a man next to his window, tapping his fingers on the glass with a furious expression.

Looking at him, Zayden rolled down the window.

"Sorry, I thought I saw a deer." He apologized.

"Are you on drugs?" The man asked and spat on the ground: "Just get out of the way. I’m warning you..."

The man’s tone irritated him a bit, but since he was in the wrong, Zayden just looked at the man for another second before driving off, ignoring the man shouting sothing like ’Go on, then! If you hadn’t moved, I’d have beaten you up, I swear!’

Who was he trying to impress?

He shook his head, not wanting to entertain a clown.

After that, he paid more attention to the road.

Reality proved that if he didn’t observe carefully, he’d mistake another ’ghost,’ and the next ti he might not be so lucky and cause an accident.

’I’ll stay away from driving for a while...’

Until he got used to it and could identify what was or wasn’t a living being, it was better to have soone else drive for him.

...

Zayden parked the car at a diner at the bus station in a very remote area.

When he entered, a bell rang.

"Welco."

There were only two employees working and one custor.

"A coffee, please."

Zayden sat near the counter.

"One mont."

While waiting, Zayden couldn’t help but rub his temples.

In front of him... Or rather, on top of the head of the woman who served him, there was a sort of 30 cm naked little man.

Obviously, it had to be sothing supernatural. A ghost, perhaps...

Anyway. This little guy had the appearance of an 80-year-old man with wrinkled skin.

His color was almost blood red.

There was the number [1] on top of the little man’s head.

Subtly, Zayden saw this little man sucking so kind of aura from the girl and chewing with shark-like teeth.

When he saw this, he noticed the woman’s expression worsen, and then he heard her stomach growl.

"Milena, didn’t you just eat?" The man preparing the coffee asked skeptically.

The woman nad Milena smiled shyly.

"Well, I don’t even understand myself..." She genuinely seed confused.

Zayden’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

In his right hand, he made a concentration of Spiritual Power manifest.

He saw his finger enveloped by a kind of pure aura.

Zayden had good aim, and from this distance, he wouldn’t miss.

Discreetly, he placed his hand on the counter, making a gun gesture, and ’fired’ a bullet of Spiritual Power.

*Whoosh!*

The shot was silent, like a simple gust of fast wind.

The little man noticed sothing and looked in the direction of the Spiritual Power bullet coming toward him in horror, but it was too late. The shot hit right in his chest.

"Aaah..." The little man let out an embarrassing and miserable scream. It seed very painful; he scread instinctively.

*Beng!*

"What was that?" The woman was alard.

A glass on the shelf behind shattered when it was hit by the little man.

When the woman saw that it was a glass that had suddenly broken, though confused, she went to clean it up.

’I thought it didn’t have a physical form... Or maybe it’s because of the spiritual power shot?’ Zayden pondered.

At the sa ti, the little man fell to the ground and writhed in agony for a few seconds until he began to disappear as if he were a digitized being and his data was being erased, causing parts of the little man’s body to vanish until nothing was left.

’So the answer to leveling up was killing supernatural beings? Or maybe...’

He shook his head, not completing his dangerous conjecture.

The possibility of perhaps leveling up by killing people could turn a good man into a murderer.

However, with the possibility of leveling up by killing supernatural beings, there was no reason for him to resort to sothing criminal.

"Here’s your coffee."

The woman placed a cup with a white saucer on the counter in front of him.

"Thank you." Thanking her, Zayden took it and drank.

Almost finishing the coffee, he ordered another along with a ham sandwich.
