I Returned to the Day He Brought His First Love Home Chapter 40: Excellent Performance
"Oh? Your finance departnt is really sothing. These new spreadsheets you sent over are crystal clear." Oscar Osborne’s eyes lit up when he saw the new financial reports.
"That was Grace Winslow’s doing. She’s truly impressive. She even took the ti to diligently teach her colleagues, and now our finance departnt’s efficiency has shot up."
"I’m starting to think we have too many people in the office. Work we could never seem to finish before is now done in a snap."
"And Grace! She organized and filed all the docunts, labeling every invoice and receipt. Now, if you need to find sothing, you can pull it up in an instant."
"We were honestly just lazy before; everything was a total ss."
"She’s only been here a few days, and our finance departnt is already completely transford."
"I knew I had a good eye for talent," May Callahan said, her face beaming with pride.
It was as if she were the brilliant one, not Grace.
Oscar Osborne fell into thought at her words.
Before he could open his mouth, May Callahan spoke again. "Grace also ntioned that this system could actually be applied to other departnts as well."
"The receiving and purchase orders from the workshop, for instance, are all over the place. Their disorganization makes a ss for the purchasing departnt, and by the ti the paperwork reaches our finance departnt, it’s absolute chaos."
"Director, I want to send Grace over to the workshop."
Oscar Osborne hesitated. "Hasn’t everyone in your departnt learned from Grace already? Can’t you send soone else?"
’Grace Winslow just divorced Caleb Forrest.’
’He’d already heard plenty of rumors and gossip.’
’Who knew how the people in the workshop would treat Grace.’
’If she went, they would surely give her a hard ti.’
’The won working on the floor would never cooperate with her.’
’He had promised Gregory Winslow he’d look after Grace, and he really didn’t want to send her to the workshop to be mistreated.’
"Director, I know what you’re worried about, but I have faith in Grace. I’m sure she won’t pay any mind to that sort of thing, and she is absolutely capable of handling it," May Callahan said nonchalantly.
Oscar Osborne was still hesitant. "Let think about it. Have Grace co in. I’ll ask her myself."
May Callahan shot Oscar Osborne an odd look. "Director, let warn you: don’t you get any funny ideas. Grace may be divorced, but she’s no pushover. If you dare try anything with her..."
Oscar Osborne’s expression darkened. He was speechless for a mont. "What’s going through your head?"
"Your head is always filled with such nonsense."
"If Grace herself wants to go to the workshop and teach them, of course I’ll let her. We live in a modern society; isn’t it perfectly normal to consult the person involved?"
Giving him a look that said, ’You’d better hope not,’ May Callahan turned and went to find Grace Winslow.
Grace Winslow had been planning to go to the workshop all along.
’She had never intended to keep a low profile.’
"Director, I’ll go."
’This was a golden opportunity.’
’Even though she’d only just joined the factory this year and was still on probation, making it impossible for her to win the Model Worker or Outstanding Employee awards, she could at least snag a Progress Award or sothing similar.’
’Whatever she did, she had to be the best.’
’Since she had chosen to work at the textile factory, she certainly wasn’t going to just half-ass it.’
After accepting the assignnt from Oscar Osborne, Grace went ho that very day to start preparing.
anwhile, after waiting three days without a word from Ivy White, May Callahan took a few people and marched straight to Caleb Forrest’s office to find him.
Caleb Forrest was the one who had recomnded Ivy White. Now that there was a problem and Ivy was hiding from everyone, it was only right that Caleb bear the consequences.
