Episode 35. (1) The
painter sleeps at ho, but except for the ti he trains with his brother in the evening, he spends all of his ti in Sochon’s dical room treating patients or making various preparations for surgery.
Today, the painter went to work as Sochon’s doctor’s office.
In the dical room, Ohbo was already doing the cleaning and other work that the painter had ordered.
Even before entering the dical room, the painter looked at Obo, slling the sll of alcohol that stung his nose.
“Boy, how much did you drink?”
“I’m down with ten bottles.”
A while ago, the painter gave money to Oh-bo’s father, Oh-jang, to brew wine from grain, and to buy alcohol, distilled liquor, and bottled it.
This is because it costs much less money to make distilled liquor than to buy gwiju.
“I bought two bottles, but I only got ten bottles?”
“yes. That was the only thing that ca down. And the bottle I gave later doesn’t seem to have a high alcohol content in my judgnt.”
“Isn’t the alcohol level high?”
“yes. Try sniffing it.”
Obo brought several vials.
The fireman opened the lid of the vial he had brought and sniffed it.
The first bottle slled like alcohol, but the second bottle didn’t sll too bad.
The painter sniffed all the vials he had brought and pointed to two.
“These two will definitely have less disinfection effect. Why is this?”
“I don’t know that either. However, these two bottles are the last to be brewed.”
The painter thought for a mont, then realized that alcohol evaporates better than water and nodded.
“What was the first bottle you drank from?”
“That’s it.”
“Bring it.”
“yes.”
The painter opened the lid of the bottle Obo had brought and sniffed it.
Suddenly, I slled the strong sll of alcohol.
“As expected…”
“Did you know why?”
“huh.”
“Then what should I do?”
“Just drink as it is. Just mark the first and last ones in order. That way it can be used for its intended purpose.”
“All right.”
The fireman picked up a vial, which was judged to have little effect of disinfection, and gave it to Obo.
“Take this to your father.”
“Dad? Can I?”
“You must have drool a lot after seeing these drinks, but you should let them drink this much.”
“All right.”
When the report was excitedly accepted, the painter laughed.
“Oh, and aren’t there people around you who are good at sewing?”
“why?”
“I’ll draw you a picture, so go find him and ask him to make so for you.”
The painter drew a mask on paper and handed it to Obo.
“You can make it so that the thread goes through the top and bottom like this and can be tied at the back of the head.”
“It won’t be too difficult. There is a lady who is good at sewing nearby, so I will make it right away.”
“Yes, and ask them to make ten of them.”
“Are there ten?”
“huh. I might ask you to make more later.”
“all right.”
The painter put on a slightly pleased expression when the misinformation disappeared.
‘He’s quick-witted and does his job well.
In fact, the painter rembers modern dical facilities, so he was making things in advance to treat patients.
It seed to that if I taught misinformation well, I would be able to use it as a language for surgery.
‘It would be perfect if there was at least one more boy like Bo. Because two people are better. And if I earn so money later, I’ll have to hire a nurse or dical doctor.’
After a while, the painter mixed distilled liquor with hemp leaf juice to make an anesthetic.
“Mr. I made what you drew earlier, please see if I made it properly.”
While making an anesthetic solution and feeding it to the rat, Obo appears with a mask.
“Give this.”
The painter made a satisfied expression after trying the mask on his face.
“how is it?”
“Well done.”
“Then I’ll ask you to make the rest like this.”
“Yes.”
When Obo tried to get out of the room, the painter tilted his head and opened his mouth.
“Oh, look.”
“Yes, Senator.”
“There are only a few mice left… aren’t they setting traps these days?”
“I’m letting go.”
“Ah, don’t you catch mice well?”
“no. There is no word from the congressman to catch more mice, so my father and I just grill them.”
“I’ll pay for the rat, so don’t eat it from now on and lock it up here.”
“all right.”
The painter let out a short sigh and fed the mouse again the distilled liquor mixed with the hemp leaves.
Closer closer…..
Then the sound of horses’ hooves ca from far away and got closer and closer.
Since there is no sound of horseshoes in this poor village, not only firen but also misinformation stopped what they were doing and turned their heads over the fence.
The horseman asked the villagers sothing and ca straight to the burner.

Gyowi Jo-in, who participated in the subjugation war, visited the infirmary where wounded soldiers were lying.
It had been quite so ti since he had co to visit after completing all the complicated tasks, from reporting the results of the subjugation to the hyun-ryung and making appropriate compensation to the families of the dead.
In fact, Lieutenant Jo thought that by now all the dead soldiers would be dead and only those who would survive would remain.
Although about half of them will beco idiots and be discharged from the military, the people will not be shaken if they give them even a warm word and show so degree of material condescension.
“A small army.”
Professor Jo called Socheol, a mber of the military council.
“Your teacher.”
“This is a place to visit injured soldiers, so tell the dical doctors and nurses not to perform loud military ceremonies.”
“All right.”
The small surgeon sent a subordinate soldier to give orders to the officers not to make a fuss when they entered the infirmary.
When the order was delivered, the military officers entered, but no one took a military rite.
Of course, there were many who bowed their heads lightly to be polite, but they did not wake up the sleeping patients.
As Lieutenant Jo entered the infirmary, he slled sothing pungent.
‘what? It slls like alcohol… Oh, right! The fireman taught the soldiers in Maseokgol to sterilize the affected area with alcohol.’
Inspector Jo frowned for a mont at the sll of alcohol that filled the infirmary, then quickly cleared it.
If it had been in the past, I would have been angry at soone for drinking in the infirmary.
Professor Cho approached the nearest patient.
‘uh?’
The mont he saw the face of the sleeping patient, Detective Cho’s eyes widened.
‘I’m the foreman! Didn’t he die?’
Up to the lowest rank, the foreman, was the rank of an officer, and the fifth or foremost rank was the rank of a soldier.
Chief Lim was a senior soldier who had served as a soldier for about 7 years.
Lieutenant Jo, of course, knew Captain Lim’s face and rembered that his thigh was severely cut to the point of exposing the bones during a battle with bandits in the subjugation war.
He clearly rembered it because he saw Chief Lim lying down and judged that he had no hope of surviving, so he directly ordered his subordinate to move the critically ill patients to the place where they were gathered.
However, such Chief Lim did not die and was lying with a bandage wrapped around his thigh.
‘It was such a big wound that it couldn’t stop the bleeding, so I thought I couldn’t save it even if the doctor ca, but how are you still alive? Also, the legs stretched out below the thighs don’t seem to have been amputated?’
Even if a skilled surgeon prepared and perford the surgery, there was a high probability that the leg amputation would fail.
His thoughts were close to certainty, as he had seen his older brother barely survive after suffering from near death for three days after undergoing surgery to amputate his ankle.
If a clinician other than Songlim, who is the best in Chohyeon, perford the surgery, his brother would probably be a cold corpse by now.
‘Wouldn’t that wound be able to stop the bleeding just because it’s covered with a bandage? Looking at your feet, it seems that blood is flowing through them perfectly. What happened?’
I was curious about it.
I wondered if a doctor could save a person who could not be saved by amputating his thigh because of the treatnt he received by wrapping his thigh in a bandage without amputating his thigh.
“A small army.”
“Your teacher.”
“Isn’t Chief Lim’s thigh cut in half?”
“Your bones have been cut open.”
“yes. And yet you’re still alive. Who cured Chief Lim?”
“The chemist did the treatnt.”
In an instant, Inspector Joe’s eyes widened slightly.
The na that ca to mind when entering the infirmary was ntioned.
“stoker?”
“yes.”
“Co to think of it, did I say that the painter’s dical skills are excellent?”
“yes.”
“I wonder how you were treated. Can you take the bandage off?”
“yes.”
The small army doctor took off the bandage himself without asking the soldier.
The bandages ca off, revealing long stitched thighs.
“Hmm.”
And Chief Lim also woke up.
“uh! Kyo gyo…..”
“Shh be quiet. Soone else wakes up.”
“Ah yes.”
“I’m going to examine the wound.”
“yes.”
Lim raised his head and looked at his sewn thigh, as well as the army surgeon and lieutenant who were examining the thigh.
Inspector Jo, who had been looking at his thighs for a while, made an expression of disbelief.
“The flesh is sewn as if it were sewn. I’ve never seen anything like this before… Is this a new dical technique?”
Among the soldiers and military officers who participated in the subjugation, there were many who saw firen stitching up people’s flesh, but Lieutenant Jo was too busy to see it.
That’s why I asked this question.
“Yes, I saw it for the first ti this ti too, but it seems to be a new dical technique.”
“Certainly, if you sew it like this, it will stick well. He said he read a dical book from beyond the West Station, but it’s not the usual treatnt I knew.”
“I was also very surprised to find out that the wounds of the soldiers were examined this ti and that the stitching would speed up their recovery.”
“It’s unique. By the way, it doesn’t look like it’s just the flesh sewn up.”
“yes. I was busy at the ti, so I didn’t see it, but when I heard the soldier next to , he said it was even a broken blood vessel.”
“A broken blood vessel? how?”
“I don’t even know how. If you want to know, you have to cut the flesh again, but you can’t.”
“Judging by the color of the feet, it seems that the blood vessels are really connected… How did they connect them?”
Watching his brother’s foot cut off, Inspector Jo beca very interested in dicine in his own way.
According to his common sense, there was no way to connect blood vessels.
The only thing he did was burn the cut blood vessels with sothing like a pharynx, but it took a lot of ti for the blood vessels to clog and the flesh to heal, and the patient was in so much pain.
However, there was a patient with blood vessels connected in front of his eyes, so he couldn’t help but believe.
‘Is the fireman’s dicine beyond my common sense?’
Professor Jo’s interest in the hwabu grew more and more.
“If it was cut this way, not only the blood vessels but also the tendons would have been cut.
“Can Lieutenant Lieutenant really connect tendons no matter how much blood vessels are connected? Moreover, it is a completely severed tendon.”
“That’s right. After all, a tendon is not sothing that can be connected once it is broken.”
“It’s amazing just that the blood vessels are connected so that the legs don’t rot.”
“If the tendons were cut, it would be difficult to work now.”
“I guess so.”
Inspector Jo gave Lim a slightly sad expression.
The purpose of coming all the way here while being busy was to make such an expression and give comfort in my own way.
“Lim foreman.”
“Your teacher.”
“It’s really unfortunate that Captain Lim’s legs beca like that, but on the other hand, it’s really fortunate that he didn’t die and was alive.”
“That’s right.”
“I’ll make a request above and set up a consolation money for you. When I retire, I should be able to open at least a drapery shop.”
Chief Lim’s eyes widened in despair.
“Thank you.”
Inspector Jo passed Chief Lim and went to the next patient.
Most of the other patients who were already asleep because of Chief Lim were awake.
“I didn’t even know the instructor was coming and I was asleep. Even the military doctor should have woken up no matter how much I was asleep if the lieutenant ca.”
At that ti, one of the patients, chasing after sleepiness, bruised the small surgeon in a slightly louder voice.
“uh! Chief Woo. I’ll die… Kheheum.”
Inspector Jo recognized Captain Woo and was more surprised than when he saw Chief Lim alive.
