The mont Nyssara felt one of her appendages tear away from her body and plumt toward the black earth below, agony exploded through her entire being.

The pain was far worse than before. Her cosmic body twisted violently as dark starlight rippled across its surface.

This body was no longer a disposable projection.

Because of the oath and the restrictions binding her power, her consciousness had beco anchored entirely within this manifestation. She could no longer simply abandon it and retreat into another cosmic vessel.

If she died here, the portion of her soul bound to this body would be destroyed alongside it.

For a mortal, such a loss would an death. But for a cosmic being, it ant sothing arguably worse, which was a permanent reduction of power. A wound that could take ages to heal.

It would beco a weakness. And weakness among cosmic beings was an invitation.

The mont others discovered she had suffered such a loss, they would descend upon her.

Not because of hatred or revenge. Because that was simply how cosmic beings operated.

The strong consud opportunities. The weak beca the opportunities.

Her enemies would no longer fear provoking her. They would no longer hesitate before challenging her. The balance she had maintained for countless ages would crumble.

Rage flooded her thoughts. "I WILL NOT ALLOW THAT!"

The roar echoed across the battlefield in the form of roar. Dark starlight erupted from every part of her body.

The pressure alone shattered distant mountains and hills and sent cracks racing across the ground.

Then Nyssara attacked.

Ignoring the relentless bombardnt of fire, earth, and ice, she surged forward with all the power she could force through the restrictions.

The battlefield exploded and hundreds of appendages erupted from her colossal body. Each one resembled a living ribbon of darkness filled with swirling stars.

The appendages shot across the sky at terrifying speed.

Erend’s eyes widened. "Move!"

The three Dragonborn scattered instantly.

A fraction of a second later, the appendages tore through the space they had occupied. The sky itself seed to split apart from the force.

But the attack did not end there.

The appendages stretched, lengthened, and twisted. They pursued the Dragonborn relentlessly.

Each limb adjusted its trajectory with impossible precision as if guided directly by Nyssara’s thoughts.

Erend rolled through the air while a massive appendage swept toward him.

BOOM!

The attack slamd into his side before he could fully evade and he felt pain filling his body.

His Fire Dragon form spun violently across the sky. Several scales shattered from the impact. Before the appendage could strike again, lightning erupted around him.

CRACK!

Blue bolts of lightning wrapped around the dark limb.

Erend accelerated instantly. The sudden burst of speed carried him around the appendage.

Fire gathered inside his jaws then a gigantic beam of blazing Dragonborn fire erupted forward.

The attack carved through the appendage’s surface and left a molten wound stretching dozens of ters.

Nyssara hissed.

At the sa ti, Eccar found himself surrounded by the three appendages that descended toward him simultaneously.

The Earth Dragon roared and an entire section of the battlefield he was in rose into the sky.

Massive walls of stone erupted up. The appendages smashed through the stone walls in quick succession. Each impact reduced mountains of stone into dust.

The final strike reached Eccar. The appendage crashed directly into his chest.

The impact sent him hurtling across kiloters of sky. Pain surged through his body and several golden scales cracked.

Blood dripped from the corner of his Dragon mouth. But instead of retreating, Eccar laughed with his roaring sound of a Dragon.

"That actually hurt!" he scread inside his mind.

The earth beneath the battlefield answered his call. Thousands of enormous stone spears erupted upward simultaneously.

The appendage pursuing him found itself trapped inside a forest of stone. Before it could escape, Eccar slamd both claws together and the entire formation collapsed inward.

The appendage was crushed between countless tons of Dragonborn-enhanced earth. Large portions shattered apart and rained onto the wasteland below.

anwhile in another place, Aesa faced an even greater challenge. Five appendages converged on her position.

The Ice Dragon imdiately vanished inside a storm of frost.

The air froze, entire clouds of greenish mist beca solid ice.

The appendages tore through the blizzard and one of them was actually able to clip her wing.

Aesa winced as she felt the pain. Another one ca and struck her shoulder and sent her spinning.

Cracks spread across several of her crystalline scales. Yet the attack also gave her an opportunity.

Aesa imdiately changed direction. Instead of retreating she accelerated directly toward the appendages.

The freezing mist surrounding her condensed. Thousands of ice spears ford around her body in the blink of an eye.

Then tens of thousands more ford.

The frozen projectiles imdiately launched simultaneously.

The sky turned white. The appendages disappeared beneath the storm of ice attacks.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Explosions after explosions of ice erupted everywhere. Entire sections of air and ground froze solid.

The frozen appendages slowed for the first ti. Then right at the mont, Aesa raised both of her claws.

The surrounding temperature dropped even further. The frozen sections of the appendages suddenly shattered.

Gigantic chunks of cosmic flesh exploded into fragnts of ice and darkness.

Nyssara roared again in pain. Then she sent more appendages surged forward.

The battle escalated further.

Fire scorched the sky, earth shattered the ground of black earth below, and ice froze other sections of the battlefield.

Again and again, the appendages struck the Dragonborn. But the Dragonborn retaliated.

Erend blasted through one appendage with a concentrated beam of fire and lightning, Eccar crushed another beneath a collapsing mountain of stone, and Aesa froze an entire cluster before shattering them into glittering fragnts.

One after another, the tips of Nyssara’s appendages were destroyed. Fragnts of cosmic flesh rained across the dead world.

The enormous cosmic being found herself facing sothing she had not experienced in an age beyond mory.

Her three opponents who were slowly, relentlessly, tearing pieces from a cosmic god like her.
